Couldn't sleep, so I took a drive up 41. There was literally nothing out between 1-2 am this morning. Cold temps and an abundance of police may have something to do with it. I counted 8 cops (Tahoes, Impalas, and an unmarked blue Impala) in one pass. They were sitting in arcade lots and seemingly harassing everyone on a bike.
Drove 41 from downtown Sarasota up to the 7/11 north of Cortez. Only saw one girl and she was at the gas station next to the airport. Non-obese white girl that looked good from a distance. I wanted to stop but she was already having a conversation. Swung back by a little later and she was gone.
1 walker, no cops, and the dope boys were out in droves.
Been dead out there recently.
Anyone know of a safe play.

Learned that lesson years ago.
Unfortunately, I gave her the money up front and she opened the door and ran away. My big head was not thinking.

Well OK so starting on the other night I drove around the 14th Street area and it was dark and I'm in the bad area of Candy Land (Not Looking for Candy) and I see this one girl.
A blonde, short hair with black glasses sitting on a curb median by the Sheppard's Tire place. So I made a swoop all the way around and I went back and pulled up to her and I said.
Are you ok? She just says flatly "I'm Good. " OK I'm guessing she's not interested so I take off down the road and I see a homeless woman walking with a cart or something.
She made a turn and when I was near her, she didn't even see my face, But she could probably tell what I was doing because she's like "Uh No. " I didn't really see her face well.
But she was rude. I never said anything to her and she muttered something I didn't hear at first. So then I drove 41 to North Tamiami Trail. Nothing Dead!
Um what's happened to them all? Who knows? I know now a lot of them hang around the homeless areas these days.
Then two nights later I'm in the bad area again in Bradenton 37 Street W going north and I look back and see this tall blonde and she's wearing dark blue sweatpants with a blue top
crossing the road to go to the variety store. So I make a swoop around waiting for the other cars to pass me, (They Drive So Slow!) and I pull up on the side of the business.
And before she walks in the store I wave at her and she stops and looks at me not with a mean look but a friendly puzzled short look but then she goes inside the store and I
drive through the teeny tiny lot of the store I don't see her anymore and I'm not comfortable around there so I keep on going. Maybe she wasn't a walker?
I finally get back to 41 it's dark now and I saw a blue badge car BPD on the left lane (not after me or anything) besides he was two cars besides
me in the middle lane, I'm on the right. But when I turn the corner to start to go down the bad area I see this car behind me that looked like
a cop car and I got spooked and so I go into the left lane to make a you turn to see if they follow me. They didn't luckily and it turned out it
wasn't a cop car, just a car with a luggage bar on it. But that's it, I was done for the evening.
And yesterday I drove those same areas and nobody was walking in the daytime Or if you see somebody, their with somebody like a pimp.
But Yeah it's getting scarier more. Not like years ago when it wasn't that bad.
But what you do if a blue badge was behind you and you did have somebody in your car? Does anybody have any stories or tips on that I'm all ears!
Be careful out there! And you never know when your being watched!

How do you avoid setups?[/QUOTE]Goal #1 is to not get pulled over. Goal #2 is to not answer any questions if you do get pulled over. Goal #3 (the hardest!) is to get the girl to keep her mouth shut too.
All that "where are you coming from? What are you doing? Why are you here in this neighborhood? Who's this girl? I know this girl. She has a rap sheet" is them fishing.
You are not obligated to answer ANY questions other than your name and you have to give them your identification. Being polite but uncooperative in their fishing expedition is the best course of action. Worst case you get a ticket for the BS thing they pulled you over for -- because unless they saw you scoop, they can't pull you over just for having a girl in the car.

OK, so you don't answer their questions, that's good, but it won't help you getting out of an arrest. But you should always keep your mouth shut about what your doing.
Back in 2017 one night I was driving on 10th and Central in Sarasota and it was night time and this girl all of a sudden out of nowhere comes
up to my car asking me if she can get a ride so I happily obliged. So we're driving on US 41 North Tamiami Trail and she seems alright and
tells me that she can totally hang out with me if I go back to the homeless area by the Salvation Army to get something from a friend first and
she told me that it would only take like 2 minutes. I said no twice but she convinced me. (Big Mistake) and we go by where the homeless are hanging out.
And one of the guys on the sidewalk hands her something- (It Was Candy or something looking back now, I did not like being there at all.
Then that's when I see a cop car sitting and then started following me. (OH NO!
I tell her the cop is following us and she's like "he's not following us, But he totally was.
Now we're back to 41 and the cop a few seconds goes into another lane, So I sigh a relief.
But then at the light he's behind me and then she says "your scaring me."
I'm thinking Your Scared? I'm jumping out of my Skin!
Then the Red and Blue Lights Flashed! (OH NO!)
I pull over into a Burger King Parking lot.
I knew it was over! I thought I was done for!
The cop gets out walks over to my car, I say "is everything ok?" He says "Well You Tell Me, Do You Know Her?"
I stupidly say she's a friend (I won't be saying that anymore BTW).
He asks "A Friend You Just Picked Up at 10th and Central?
So I then stupidly say yes.
So he talks to her that I remember and I'm thinking I'm busted for solicitation and I'm going to going to the clink! I'm very nervous.
And then because I had lied to the girl about my name, I said I was Mr. Smith and the cop tells her "Is That What He Told You? He.
Laughs and says "He's Not Mr. Smith." Then I think the cop recognized her from before in the past. "He said "Oh Yeah I know You!
OH G8d! I don't think she set me up on purpose, I think it just randomly happened.
So then he gets her out the car and I hear him saying to her if their was any contraband in my car we're going to etc.
So finally the most Wonderful thing in the world happened! He must have got another more serious call because the next thing.
I know he takes off with his lights on while the backup cop lady walks over to me and says "Here's Your License handing it back.
To me.
The Girl has disappeared now. I don't think he arrested but told her to take off. I was so nervous that I was almost crying.
I wanted to ask questions, But your when your so spooked and then relieved, you just want to get the hell out of there!
I was so lucky and it felt like a bad dream!
The next day I discovered she had left a Crack Pipe in the passenger slot bin on the door!! (OMG!) She had hidden it the previous night so they wouldn't see it
but could of wanted me to take the wrap for it.
But all they had to do if they were looking while I was stopped was flash their flashlight in the door bin, BAM! We'd both be going to Jail! No questions asked.
And I don't do drugs! So I threw it away carefully.
Yeah so that's why I'm scared these days that could happen again.
IDK how the cop knew about me picking her up for just for a ride when I was already on US 41 away?
It was when I turned around for her little nice favor and went back to the homeless area (Yeah Right!)
I won't be doing any favor errands again unless they want a ciggy or a water form a variety store.

I've found all sorts of stuff, from things that would simply be difficult to explain to actual girlfriends (condoms, lighters, cigarettes, panties, hair ties, phones) to things that would actually get you in legal trouble (drugs and paraphernalia). Interestingly, they seem to be better and making sure they take their drugs with them than the other stuff, but I search my car with a strong flashlight at the nearest gas station as soon as I drop off.

Bad area dealers, addicts hookers the cops are always around marked unmarked and you could even get shot. It's just as bad on 14th here, yellow store, blue store up around lecom sleeze motels local cops are everywhere and watch camera's those stores are scooting the hang arounds out.
