Spoke with the short lady in charge yesterday. We talked about the situation in DC, and She is really concerned with all the reports on her place appearing on this board, and asked that I pass on her request to CUT IT OUT. Especially any specifics, including "standard NOVA finish". Good Massage OK. Anything else ... NOT OK.

Made a first time visit there yesterday. First time I saw a shower like that-impressive. I didn't like that I had to shower myself. The lady that greeted me was nice but I ended up with Linda. She did a decent job but she is kind of rough though. My neck hurts from her massage. She's a nice woman but I wouldn't repeat a visit there.
I`ve been saying something about this for some time.
Nobody wants listen these ladies / owners can't stand this forum, except for places like Jessup / Lotus where they keep tabs on the board to make sure the girls aren't doing something behind her back "extras" if so than the lady gets runoff.
Everybody will start complaining when our supply dwindles down to standard R&T with absolutely no extras from some 50+ lady.
So if you wanna keep these places around for a while I'd suggest heavily screening your information.
There are places right here in Virginia that I wouldn't dare mention in the open forum just knowing I'm shooting myself in the foot.
You no years ago housewives and others didn't really know what was going on in some of these places.
Now thanks to the news everybody knows / and everybody knows it's illegal.

I was surprised that some of the ladies are monitoring the board. Actually, I think it is great and a good way for them to get an idea of what we like/don't like and keep track of the standard fare (manage expectations). I have also heard that some owners monitor the board and will fire therapists for even a single reference to providing extra services. Ouch!
On the one hand this site is a valuable resource for finding quality providers and avoiding rip-offs and substandard service. At the same time we need to be careful to take care of the ladies or they won't be around. I also have to believe that good reviews, and some specifics have to be fantastic advertising for them. I wonder if they see a significant change in workload after getting strong recommendations, or vice versa.
Personally, I'd love to see some of our favorite providers post, participate or PM the monger that gives them a good review. They could also point out if one of us happens to say something that might get them fired in time for us to edit our post.
If you're a provider, and you agree, please PM me (especially if I've seen you before).

If you notice, several of you "respected seniors" have stopped posting anyway (Remember JJ1492?) for this very reason. It may very well be that this forum (and others like it) have outlived their usefulness. When a post I make is likely to show up on the 6:00 o'clock news, what value do I receive? Some cheap thrill at seeing my name /handle in print?
If you were around in the pre-internet days (and by your post count, you may have been) you know that the way things worked was that you had a few trusted friends that passed on information to you directly (and you to them). That was the way this board started I suspect. A few net-savy mongers exchanging real-time intelligence on their experiences and their likes/dislikes about various services received. That worked well for a small community. As your notoriety increased (due in no small part to your success stories) so did the scrutiny you/we received from the do-gooder press and LE. Therefore, I say again: You may be right, the board has outlived its usefulness.
If you can't share information without some level of security from prying eyes (providers and/or LE) then the usefulness of the sharing necessarily decreases. We can try code phrases, masked names, etc., but who are we really kidding? Me? You? LE? .... Correct, No one is fooled. Unless you have a screened, reliable and secure circle of friends, your interests are best served by keeping quiet.
I don't pretend to know what the answers are. I just know what happened in DC could just as well happen in NOVA. In DC, we chatted and praised various providers and places until ... there are virtually NO MORE AMPS in DC! I don't want that to occur in NOVA, so I agree. I may visit just to see what craziness is taking place, but I think my posting days may be over as well.

For the decent places and good providers, keep vague (i.e., don't supply specifics regarding locations or names) and use PMs between trusted mongers.
Another suggestion (which would require a coding change by Jackson): Implement an option that only allows a poster to select the post count other mongers must have in order to be able to even [b]see[/b] his post.

It is a fact that this forum is read by almost all AMP's. The level of detail is not appreciated by any of them for obvious reasons. Everyone should refrain from such intimate details. No need for TMI.
Also, many of you better hope that the AMP's do not start a LARS rating for Mongers.

In some VA counties the AMP scene has already been shut down. There are few remaining in VA and really nothing in terms of extras available anymore.
For me I don't really have any friends into the hobby. This forum is the only place for me to get and share information. If it crumbles I won't really have a way to get new intel.
At this point we may just be down to using PM to request/share intel.
We could just post where we have been and whether it was a good or bad experience. Not include any details. It would be almost like an archive of what members have been where. Then when we are considering a visit, we PM those who have been there and ask for specifics.
Just an idea to keep specifics off the board. Not sure if it would work.

It really is a shame that the NOVA spas are pretty much dead. It always saved me from having to go to DC for fs and deal with parking and the extra 20 miles or so. Now, the dependable DC places are dwindling fast. It’s hard to say if TMI is the reason for the demise of fs spas.
I'm not concerned about AMP's having a LARS rating. I'm more concerned about Chris Hansen popping into my room with a camera crew. It's the next phase in his career after catching pedophiles; busting fat middle-aged guys lying naked on a table. I can hear the promos now “Next time on To Catch A Pasty Skinned Middle-Aged Fat Guy…” Don't think it can't happen. Oh no, paranoia has really set in.

Thought I'd share my visit to the place in Woodbrdge. I won't say the name b/c of extra heat in the area but you mongers probably know which one I'm talking about. Off to a bad start at the door b/c greeted by a 6 at best, 40ish, few extra pounds. Wasnt sure if she was mamasan or what. Paid the standard, got the ts, mamasan disappeared for a while and I was wondering whether my provider would be someone different. Unfortunately, mamasan comes back and does a half assed massage for about 5 minutes before offering up the menu. I inquired about the 2-girl option. Probably got a little hosed on the deal b/c mamasan charged me house fare x2 plus the standard fee x2. Oh well, I've got the cash so no big deal. Mamasan disappears again, then the bell rings once or twice (not good for me, b/c now I'm not the priority). After a good wait, mamasan returns with Gina (much more appealing, early 30s, slender). They immediately get down to business with quite a bit of Korean dialogue between them. At that point, things were not bad, actually kind of fun. Noticed they changed my cover between Gina and mamasan. Unfortunately, about 5 minutes into, the bell rings again, and by my math this means a shortage of providers, so I think mamasan's priority was moving to the next monger. Mamasan quickly discontinues ("I cum already") and heads out the door. Not that I was complaining b/c Gina was more fun anyway. Although I'd been in the place for 25 minutes or so, I think only about 10 minutes of service had gone by, so I was hoping to get a little more of my money's worth. But I'm noticing that Gina's patience is wearing a bit and she's ready for me to be done. So I gave it another 5 minutes or so and Gina was out the door. All in all, a little rushed and probably overpriced, but can't say I was unsatisfied.
Thought I'd share a story from the old HWC (loved that place). This was a couple months before they closed. Was in there getting the usual service. Probably about 40 minutes in and very satisfied. Bell was going off about every 10 minutes or so, which was typical. However, as I was in mid thrust, noticed the bell went off one time and the Korean chatter from the back got a lot more animated. Things got really squirrely from that point on. I think mamasan went down the hall spouting in Korean, which prompted my provider to get up and dress in her nurse-style outfit (which they kept hanging in the room). Needless to say, my stress level is elevated at this point, too, although I'm still not sure exactly what the hell is going on. Provider is nonchalant, telling me don't worry, etc. But now I notice that some little Korean guy has emerged from the back (where the hell did this guy come from? ) and starts giving directions in Korean. Provider is still assuring me everything is fine, but now scenarios of me jumping out the window to escape are running through my mind). Well, to make a long story short, it all turned out to be a false alarm. Finally determined that it was set off by a female ringing the bell and trying to get in. Probably a lost professional complex patron but HWC staff seemed to think it was an u/c or something. Just was funny to see how they react and run around in those circumstances, guess they're prepared like anybody. Anyone else have any close calls?
I think everyone here will see these reports for what they are. That's all I got to say about that.

I speak to a bunch of you via PMs and I am going to follow through with my new plan for posting, which is to say that I will only post negative reports and without any significant detail. If you want to talk about it then PMs are where that should occur.
Visited the new place- NSP Massage- in Springfield a few days ago. First of all, the location is kinda strange. It's roughly 30 seconds away from where the fuzz hangs out. Second, it's in the front of the building and lacks a waiting room so you buzz in from outside. Third, the massage I got (if any) was pretty awful. I would rate the providers below a 5-6 on looks but higher on attitude. Attitude doesn't mean much to me if the latter is not present. They are also ridiculously forward and this will cause problems for them in the future I am sure. Fourth, it's about 4 minutes from two other places frequently posted about here that are both much better. Fifth, both a compatriot and I observed, at different hours (I wish I could have contacted him before he later wasted his money) upselling attempts. For the looks/security this place provides (that is to say, little of both), they were asking for WAY more than anyone would be willing to give them.
Maybe there are therapists who are better lookers here and provide better massages, but a friend and I saw different therapists and received equally bad service.
Verdict: Avoid.
