Let me start off by saying I do read all aspects of this board to try to understand what's happening in all areas of our game. Although I've never been in any of these adult stores around here not my thing but I have an idea what it would be like. Just finished browsing BP and didn't see anything that peaked my interests. I've always wanted to give bookstores a try, but the one time I went to Pegasus there were a few gay guys that made passes at me. I counted it as a loss and left. Anyone know where to start? I'm bored.

I travel through Raleigh every now and then, and have been curious about this bizarre institution that is the Raleigh adult bookstore. A few weeks ago I finally got curious enough to stop by Pegasus. Like some others, I found nothing but a number of men silently shuffling around and occasionally meeting one another's eyes. Some of them may have been hoping for a woman to show up, but some of them followed me around and one kept tugging at my pants leg. Eventually I succumbed to boredom and awkwardness and left.

This afternoon I dropped in at the Hill. Early on I saw a younger, apparently fit woman leaving the arcade area with a man. Only saw them from the back. But there were a couple other women standing around, pleasantly striking up conversation and offering to watch a movie with me. One was younger, black and heavyset, kind face. I spent some time with her. The other was middle-aged, white, and slurring her words. Cheerful (and hopeful), but seemed pretty far into some kind of addiction.

On a side note, is the place out on S. Saunders 100% dudes? I happened to be over that way and the lot was PACKED at lunch. Way more than the # I saw when I passed the Hill about an hour later.
