The canal area used to be one of my goto areas Lately the only places I see anyone other then Jay's Appleton and Westford St. Saw a WSW brown hair pulled up into a ponytail at Jay's today around 4:30pm I did not partake. Saw another bust in the Sun today. I'm actually amazed Jay's is still active.

Course with LE able to do it's own internal investigation they will vindicate & exonerate themselves from any & all responsibility.
I hope Alyssa's mom & a pack of Lawyers will show Lowell that incarcerating an addicted SW with no medical attention leads to death & that they are culpable.
I doubt this will alleviate the arrests & heat being applied & hope the arresting officer is proud to get yet another dangerous SW off the streets of Lowell, Fucking Tards.

We got a call tonight in the newsroom about 5 p.m., from a woman whose daughter died early this morning while in Lowell Police custody.

I can’t say for sure this is the first time this has happened since I’ve been at The Sun, but I can tell you its the first time I’ve covered it.

Ms. Alice XXXXXX hadn’t even been told why her daughter was arrested, so I told her I would find out.

Once I found out, I regretted that, but I kept my word.

Ms. Alice XXXXX was a pleasure to speak to despite all of the bad news. I wish I could have given her more answers.

LOWELL — The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is investigating the death of a 31-year-old woman who recently moved to Lowell and was found not breathing in a holding cell at the Lowell Police Department early Sunday morning.
Assistant District Attorney Marybeth Long, a spokeswoman for District Attorney Gerard Leone, confirmed the death is under investigation, and said foul play is not suspected. Long could not provide more information.
Alyssa XXXXX 31, who gave her address as XXXXXX., Lowell, was booked at the police station on Saturday at 11:07 p.m., according to arrest logs. She was charged with one count of sexual conduct for pay.
Police have not released information on where or why Alyssa XXXXXX was arrested on that count. Arrest logs indicate Alysssa XXXXXX was later taken to Lowell General Hospital/Saints Campus.
Lowell Police Superintendent Kenneth Lavallee also confirmed the death is being investigated, but declined further comment while the investigation is ongoing.
Alyssa's mother, Alice XXXXXXX, of Connecticut, said a doctor called her Sunday morning about 2 a.m. and informed her of her daughter’s death.
Alice XXXXXXXX said Lowell police have referred all of her questions to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, but that the doctor said her daughter’s cause of death remains undetermined pending an autopsy.
“The doctor said they arrested her and at some point they went back to check on her and she was blue and unresponsive,” Alice XXXXXXXX said. “He said medics had been working on her but they couldn’t revive her.”
Alyssa XXXXX arrived at Lowell General Hospital/Saints Campus at 12:57 a.m., and was pronounced dead at 1:08 a.m., Alice XXXXXXXX said she was told.
Alice XXXXXXXX said her daughter was born in Connecticut, but grew up in Maine from the age of 3.
As a child,Alyssa XXXXX loved the outdoors.
“She was a happy, fun child,” Alice XXXXXX said. “The ocean, the beach, and animals were what she loved. She had a wonderful sense of humor.”
She had a drinking problem, according to her mother, and moved to Lowell during the last week of December in an attempt to get away from her problems in Maine.
“She wanted to get away from the bunch of people she was with. She wanted to start new, fresh. That was her plan,” Alice XXXXX said.
Her mother was worried when her daughter told her she moved to Lowell.
“My heart just sunk, because that’s like taking a farm girl and putting her in New York City,” Alice XXXXX said.
Alice XXXXX said Alyssa XXXXX still kept in touch even as her mother tried “tough love” to get her daughter on a better path. Two weeks ago Alyssa XXXXX called her mother and said she had been in the hospital with pneumonia.
Alyssa XXXXX told her mother she was having trouble finding shelter in Lowell, where she was homeless, because at least one local shelter refused her entry since she couldn’t prove she was from Lowell.
Alice XXXXX said authorities have told her little so far, referring her questions to the District Attorney’s Office. She plans to drive to Lowell on Monday to try to get some answers.

I’ll add that, in my experience, Lowell Police are extremely careful with prisoners. They are checked, in person, by the shift commander when they arrive at the station for booking.

Once they are in lockup they are under video surveillance, and the shift commander can view all the cells via two large flat-screen televisions in his office. There is also a detention attendant who is in lockup with all the prisoners. Detention attendants have one of the most thankless jobs at Lowell PD.

I also know from experience that when a prisoner has a medical issue or appears to be overly intoxicated or on drugs, police do not hesitate to send them to the hospital. The level of caution is such that I’ve been told some “frequently flyers” will claim they’re not feeling well at booking just so they can spend the night in a hospital bed instead of a cell.

No one is speculating on a cause of death here, so I have no idea what it was, except that foul play (homicide) is not suspected.

I’ll be keeping in touch with Alyssa's mother, and I will bring you updates as I get them.

I've read here how many of us are using throw away pnones for a variety of reasons but now I realize the mistake I've made by not listening to the advice. It's not a crisis but more of a damn anoyance at this point.

I won't say her name but she's been discussed here off and on for a while. Things started out great but now I'm seeing sort of the physco side. I started to see her on a semi-regular basis over a couple of weeks and I made the mistake of calling her from my cell phone once. Well, she saved the number and has been constantly texting me at least once a day for over a month asking about hooking up. After a couple of weeks I just got annoyed and decided to drop her and just ignore the messages. After a while she started getting more aggressive in her messages and I was almost afraid to respond for fear she would take that as an opening to get together again and I also don't want anything I say to piss her off even more. At this point it's almost like she's stalking me.

Note to self, if your going to partake in this hobby invest in a throw-away.
