I guess I wasn't clear.........
Here's the way it works.
You should have "lawyered up" (Kept your mouth shut) immediately before your arrest and if you did and you were still arrested then LE believes they have enough evidence to arrest you. Soooooo
A) You are placed under arrest by Law Enforcement.
B) You are handcuffed and transported to the 33d Street jail. You will be driven into a bldg. with 2 steel electric gates, the gates come down and you cannot escape from custody.
C) You will be brought into the building and the processing begins, remove shoelaces from shoes, pictures taken, searched, fingerprints etc. If you co-operate you will be treated with respect. You don't have a hell of a lot of "Rights" at the moment so just stay cool.
D) You will be put in a holding cell, probably with several others, sometimes the door will be open, sometimes not and the corrections officers will inform you of the process, you will be allowed to use the phone to arrange the Bond and told of your bond amount.
E) If you have the cash on you they will arrange your bond on a cash basis, and take the full amt. from your funds, if not you need either a friend with the money or someone to arrange for your bond with a bonds-man or bonding company( same thing.)
The paperwork from the police officer and the jail takes many hours and the jails have only certain times the bonds are accepted. How long you stay in the holding cell depends upon the jail system and the time of day you are arrested, if it's at night plan on entering the General population of the jail and you will probably be there until sometime the next morning, even if your bonded out it takes more time for the jail to process you out, bottom line they are not in a hurry to facilitate your release, they are Govt. employees who work at a snails pace and NEVER miss a break or a LUNCH hour, so be prepared for a tedious time period where you will worry and make up all kinds of stories in your head about what REALLY just happened to you.
F) Eventually you will be released and you will sign for your possessions and be given a sheet with your preliminary charges and a court date for your arraignment. If all goes well you will walk through a door and be free, hopefully someone will be there to pick you up, if not call a cab to take you to the impound lot to pick up your car.
Depending on the county the process may vary slightly but is all relatively the same.
When you go to court on your arraignment date you will plead innocent and then you will be given another court date and in that time period before the next date the prosecutor will review the evidence and decide whether to file "an information" indicating what the state is formally charging you with, if anything. You should have had at least a consultation with an Attorney by this point and you can go from there. If you cannot afford an attorney the county clerk will check you out and probably declare you indigent and then you will be assigned a public defender.
I hate to be a wise ass but at no time will you be asked to show your AAA card and if you try to use it to bond out they will tell you to "wipe your ass with it." While they laugh their asses off. LOL., Check with a bonding company, I believe they'll tell you the same thing----VS
If you have any personal questions about the process, PM me, I didn't go into every detail but this is a good general outline of the initial arrest process.
Reply to VS about Rich DeVos
Why do 5-7 thousand people a day go to the Methadone clinic on Lake Underhill and 436 in Orlando. Rich old boy do you think they pay $13 a day for a dose because they like it. DUH-their ADDICTED to Oxycontin, heroin and a zillion other opiates + Benzodiazapines (XanaX) etc. I guess you don't notice these things unless you can get some press coverage out of it, you and Dyer are too busy congratulating your selves on your new half billion dollar basketball arena that you bought for AMWAY, I hope they at least gave you each a free AMWAY distributorship.
Now VS, let's not pile on the city too much for buying DeVos a brand new arena. With the downturn of the stock market, the man is only worth just less than 2 Billion dollars. There's no need to kick around a man that's now down and out!
Sometimes it tough to break into the group.
Just want to put a point of view that may not be apparent to most contributors.
I am a resident in the UK but manage to vacate to Orlando each year for around 5 weeks in July during which I am able to enjoy the fruits that are on offer.
I read each day, with interest, all new contributions to the Florida forums. I don't think I will ever be able to graduate to the status of a 'senior' member as I will never be able to give many reports or reviews. I see regularly that other members are 'prepared to give digits to senior members who pm them'. But I would not be able to take advantage of this due to my junior standing. But is this entirely fair?
Generally I have seen maybe a total of six providers via CL and BP with two of these being what are, to me, regulars and would qualify as ATF. Even though I am only seeing them 2-3 times each year when I visit. Perhaps I should give my opinions on these two even though it is a while since I saw them. What do you think?
I am considering the possibility of using SW's when we next visit and have had some good information and advice via pm from a couple of fellow mongers who are both senior members to whom I am extremely grateful.
Now I'm looking for guidance. How can I contribute? I regularly see other members 'reminded' that they are always asking for information and do not contribute regularly. In my case contributing is unlikely due to my living status. I don't want to seem a burden to the community but, when we are next due to vacate, would like to make enquiries about what will then be the current 'attractions'.
I really would welcome other mongers thoughts on my dilemma.
Look forward with interest to anybody who would care to offer thoughts and / or advice.
Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your considered information and advice.
BD
Hi Beady,
I can feel your frustration. You would like to become a trusted member of the group. By belonging, you can hopefully exhange info about providers, get details, be safe, and help avoid LEO. However, to belong, you must first TOFTT and get some reviews for us to trust you. Almost defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
Yes, it is kind of a catch-22 to get status on here. The best thing I can tell you is to keep doing what you're doing. By reading this great forum you can figure out what's going on. When you do vacation here in Orlando, please post about your dreams. You may very well have to go out on a limb and try out some unreviewed girls. By following the rules that you've learned on here, you should be OK. Hell, you may end up being the first one to discover the next Real Deal provider that all of us had been wondering about.
Happy hunting and good luck to you.
Need a new place to seek companionship with demise of CL?
Ran across a free post site that looks like it is just geting started (or at least more utilized since CL imploded?
