Thank you for confirming what I was suspecting. I had decent interaction with Crissee in the late summer, but much has changed, and I think you hit the nail on the head. I just had a ugly exchange with her "management" or whatever term you want to use. The hairs went up on the back of my head when my texts blow up the other day-from get this, four different phone numbers with multiple arwa codes. I had to finally block those numbers from my SIM.
Sure, I was a little peeved over the whole "multiple ad / multiple rate" shotgun salted ads, and it may have seemed petty of just $25. 00 bucks, but it wasn't the money, it was the ugly attitude and lack of professionalism.
Now I can't prove anything, but my intuition was on alert, and it became very clear, I was talking to a male via text, not a woman. I know a little something about wrriting, and I can tell you the gender was clearly male-not female, the cues aren't hard to find if you know what you are looking for. I think you are quite astute in your observation.
I am not ready to run out and book an agency (I still love my indys) , but you and I are definitely finding common ground and I deeply respect your proven and keen insights to what is really going on in the underbelly of our hobby community.

Here's my two cents worth on the providers I've seen who are members here. In no particular order.

To add another perspective to this discussion:
I personally don't have a knee-jerk aversion to a manager / agency set-up. I like some variety, I like outcall (easier with agencies for some reason) , and I have learned that many providers (especially the more popular ones) sometimes are overwhelmed by endless calls and texts.
However, given the recent issues with LE and the whole human trafficking situation, I *do* like to know if a manager is involved. Based on the discussion below, it sounds like there were cases of a manager posting as several providers, in an attempt to hide his involvement. This is a huge red flag, as in step-away-from-your-computer-and-avoid-at-all-costs.
Now, on a more upbeat note:
One of the managers / agents whom I have the most respect for is Buddha. He is 100% honest, open about his involvement, and doesn't try to bully / intimidate anyone. As noted in a previous thread, B. Has recently made a strategic decision to focus on heavier / older providers versus the more high-maintenence young hotties that I like. I therefore haven't used his service of late. However, my experiences with him in 2004 5 were always pleasant. If you like the looks of his ladies, I can wholeheartedly recommend him to you.
I am also okay with a Becky of Discreet Desires. She does a great job and is well known by many people here.
Beyond on these, though, I tend to be very wary of middlemen. This doesn't mean that Buddha and Becky are the only ones I'll trust, but I am wary in this regard.
