This must be why LE harassment is relatively quiet lately...

✔ ☛ The problem is so great that the primary mission of the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation now is to try to stop the death rate of prescription-drug overdoses, said agency director Phil Williams.☚ ✔
MBI's approach to the issue is wide-ranging, from the doctors and pill mills to the street-level traffickers.
"It's truly the crack of the century," Williams said. "It's going to have to be attacked on a lot of different levels."
MBI and FDLE this summer announced the arrests of more than 170 people as part of a multi-county, multi-agency investigation into prescription-drug trafficking. Two doctors — one from Orlando, the other from Winter Park — were among those charged. "Orlando Sentinel "[Quote/]

I love Crotty's quote "we've got to get ahead of this". Well mayor while you've been riding to work in your county SUV with your Sheriff's Dept. Sergeant body guard, your about 5 years behind, these mills didn't pop up yesterday!!.
Why don't you use the techniques you use to harass the massage parlors. ( Park police cars out front and pull over customers you think have patronized an escort or body rub girl).
Where were you when the 7 kids died of heroin od's a couple of years ago, don't you know Oxycontin is pharmaceutical heroin it's just purchased from a Dr..
Oh!, I know where you were you were making 100K with your Winter park developer buddy.
While your private Sheriffs Dept. militia was chasing escorts and wasting a fortune trying to close Rachael's and other Adult Clubs your Doctor friends were making millions pumping people full of poison, their only mistake was not cutting you in on it.
Why do 5-7 thousand people a day go to the Methadone clinic on Lake Underhill and 436 in Orlando. Rich old boy do you think they pay $13 a day for a dose because they like it. DUH--their ADDICTED to Oxycontin, heroin and a zillion other opiates + Benzodiazapines (XanaX)etc.. I guess you don't notice these things unless you can get some press coverage out of it, you and Dyer are too busy congratulating your selves on your new half billion dollar basketball arena that you bought for AMWAY, I hope they at least gave you each a free AMWAY distributorship.
All of a sudden now that your going out on the street this fall you've discovered the Oxy problem, what a flaming Hippocrite you are. Good luck on your next job, I'm sure it's already been arranged for you to keep sucking on the governments tit one way or another. Your buddy---VS

Osceola County - New Busts
Be careful out there..... the Osceola Sheriff's Department recently did a sting operation targeting johns. Here is the press release from their website:
Osceola County – On September 29, Osceola County Sheriff's deputies with the Tourist Policing Unit and Community Response Team West conducted an undercover prostitution operation after deputies received complaints of illegal activity at the Palm Motel located at 4519 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Super 8 Motel located at 4880 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee. The operation resulted in the arrest of 9 suspects. They were charged with Solicitation of Prostitution and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
I would not get over-confident.....
Snow,
You are a prolific poster but this is one of the best pieces of info that I have gotten from the board. I always throw out that piece of paper about bail, never thought about it like you did. Any idea whether the bail would exceed this amount?
Wow, smart!
Van
I would wager that the jail would laugh at the presentation of the card as bail if you mentioned it, especially since your personal possessions are not returned until you ARE BAILED OUT, if you have cash in your possession many jurisdictions will allow you to use it to bail yourself out as long as there is no question as to the source of the funds.(Not the proceeds of an illegal activity.)
So if you were hoping to avoid the embarrassment of calling someone to bail you out then you better have the cash bail in your possession at the time of your arrest.
The AAA card is not a get out of jail free card.
I would seriously doubt that a bondsman would accept the card from a friend of yours as collateral on a soliciting prostitution charge considering the fact that he or she would not have the card in their possession for starters.
If you were in front of a bondsman he may accept his fee in cash and if he can verify your card he may allow you to forgo signing personally for the remainder of the bond should you not show up in court.
Depending on your AAA card puts you on extremely shaky ground to say the least. (Think earthquake)
Also consider that whom ever bails you out has to guarantee the bond personally, they don't just pay the fee and you get out of jail.
The Bond amount varies depending on the severity of the charges, last I knew in Orange it was $750 on a soliciting charge.
So bottom line: #1 don't get caught by simply following the rules.
#2--The next time you drive by a bonds-man's office walk in and ask if what I said is true and if it's not please post the Bonds-man's name and address on the board for all to see---VS
