I just started going back to Day Spa recently and the staff has changed even though mamasan still recognizes me. Things don't seem to be working out for me as they had before and I don't see Tina anymore. Has anyone been here recently? Is there anything I should know about the place? There doesn't seem to be a lot of business when I get there so it seems to me that the therapists might be encouraged to be generous.

Keep lurking, and using other sources such as SH, BP, and trusty Google to eventually figure it out. These places are not exactly hard to find, share some experiences, and eventually you'll have some cred.

The ladies there are old but Mamasan told me that 4 new girls coming next week. I hope so becuase I will not be going back. Massage was just about 1 hour but I wanted out anyway. Visit Blue@Pine on Friday as a repeat and she's very consistent, if not better 2nd time around. Good TS and sauna was very nice, and medium strength hour-long massage was good (she offered soft, medium, and hard).

I'm posting this review here because it appeared at least more than one masseuse worked out of the apartment / location.

It was a great massage and unrushed. Even when I thought we were done, she went back and worked out some more tense spots until the full hour was up. There was a shower available for use, even though I didn't use it.
However, the apartment is not in an upscale area, at least by Alexandria standards. Furthermore, while the lady that answered the door was attractive, and looked similar to the one on the website, I don't believe it was her. If it was, she went on one heck of a diet. Most likely the diet that involves crack. Honestly, it could have been the same girl, but I really don't think so. She's definitely not 33.

It really was too cold for a long TS, but the TS was warm and soapy none-the-less. Then a few minutes in the toasty warm dry sauna.

Plus not having a good layout inside does not make it very appealing. Will probably wait untiil I hear some positive reviews.

In an effort to support the tactile arts east of 395, I stopped into the newly opened M&M Wellness on Franconia Road. It's on the second floor of an an office park in the second row of buildings and hidden from the traffic on Franconia Road itself. Mama let me in and placed me in a large room with an ample massage table complete with face hole and clean towels. By the time Coco got there I was wrapped in a towel and we were off the table shower. She's not very good at that but it was adequate. Back in the room I told her I wanted soft pressure today and she proceeded to give nearly no pressure at all. She didn't mind me exploring under her jeans skirt because she was wearing leggings. Based on that I roamed a little higher when I turned over and she was definitely resistant to contact above the waist. Door fee was. 8 for the hour. MMS shows me to the room, collects the fee, then says "Come with me." She shows me what is obviously a shower room under construction and, because it is not finished yet, says "Sorry, honey." Oh, well, I had just taken a shower about an hour beforehand.
Even though it's a week after Fatpig's visit, I can confirm his view. I didn't see any gal under 45 years old. And given the way Asian women can hide their age somewhat, they might have been slightly older. My therapist was probably just about 45. She was pleasant, but not the sprightly young thangs to be found at the downtown DC AMPs.
Massage was thorough and, at one point, she used some lotion rather than providing a dry rub. (Sounds like BBQ, I know.) Everything about the session was standard. Didn't experience an ending like Fatpig indicated, so I'm guessing that may have been a "one-off."
If you're looking for a decent rubdown after working out, this place might be one to consider since the ladies likely know how to actually give a good massage and hit the joints and work out the kinks. But, I wouldn't expect much else since the place also happens to be about a block or so from the Herndon Police HQS. Knowing I'd be too busy next week, I made an appt at my NoVA ATF location on a recent frigid cold afternoon. Where, due to an error in tracking appointments by MMS, I was told I would have to wait 45 minutes! Usually that would have been a problem and I would have left (or accepted an appt with an alternative provider) but on this rare occasion, I actually had time. A warm room at low lighting resulted in a nice nap that was followed by a 75minute holiday dream of epically pleasant experiences.
Be nice to the ladies. Remember, even if you bring a holiday gift, you should still leave an appropriate gratuity for the visit. And so I did.
Yes. This visit was about twice as expensive as "standard rates". Christmas only comes once a year. But I visit my favorite places frequently and know that when MMS and the ladies have happy thoughts about clients, they don't forget.

I left the money out and was not shy about requesting it and making sure she knew I wasn't Uncle Leo). On top of that, I asked for moderate-to-heavy pressure for the actual massage, and she ended up bruising my chest a bit.
I think I'll stick with my usual haunt: Li at ATMB. It's no-frills, with no shower or anything, but the massage is excellent, the ending is superb and the view is decent (not fantastic, but nice to look at).

I stopped by BWT the other night to sample their wares and was satisfied but not impressed. The place is easy enough to find and even has an "open" sign in the window. Msn let me and also provided the therapy. She gave a decent enough table shower and escorted me back to the room where on the wall a cartoonish woman's face (wish it were the one I had to look at) admonished me to keep things quiet.
