Not to this level but I think we've all done stupid things in our youth which could have resulted in a terrible outcome. Sometimes for some people their luck runs out.

We can all think of a successful person who came from a broken home and criminals who came from good homes. How your genes are wired affects how you perceive and react to the stimuli you are exposed to. I don't buy the idea that we're all the same blank slate at birth. This is my under-educated conclusion, anyway.

So to keep it on-topic, I guess maybe I'll have to try and schedule a visit with her soon. Just to be supportive. (Smiley-face emoticon here).
