I'll start with my usual caveat that I know people have lives, but I don't have the patience to give a second try to a 'sb' that pulls the last minute flake.

Woke up to text she had sent after I'd gone to bed that there had been a last minute "won't be able to come to my house, I got some family that is staying and in need of my help. " She didn't cancel completely but I wouldn't have settled at $200 for not provide the space.

Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn't, but there's too much good stuff out there to waste time with the flakes IMHO.

She brought out the fake sob story on the 2nd message. It was creative, but obviously fake. I am sure the pic is a fake also. Avoid.

Well. My current SB is more like $1,000 a month and that usually includes two meets a week for a few hours. Most of the SB ladies are happy with $200 to $300/ wk. I know some have negotiated better deals but mine will give me a free one now and again just because she feels taken care of. Chiding potential SDs because we don't want to throw that much sugar around? That's how you get what you want. For sure.
