I had a stripper "sb" a while back and while she was rather emotionally flat I thought she had good potential for a regular. During my morning coffee today, I gingerly opened up the top secret email alias which I keep hidden from the warden. I was eager to see the state of Nando1's genitals, preferably in 10megapixels. Unfortunately I was greeted not by labia, but by more Drama!
This time pleas for cash advances sent by 'Moneygram' in advance of our suaret which is still scheduled to commence this coming Friday. The pleas were almost demands, that they should be sent online using my personal credit card so that reciept of the funds could be procured within minutes. On top of this, she still has not commited to being able to make the journey to the FC (due to the bank threatening to reposess her car, she claims). This is prototypical Nando1 behavior. The entire situation has become very tiresome for me and the attaction is now fading fast. I suggested to her that this may not be the best time for her to start up SD / SB relationship, and that maybe we should postpone until she can get her life straight. But of course she is going to disagree due to both her demands for immediate funding, as well the presumed inability to straighten up her life now or in the future!

In the meantime, I have opened a new account, my first, on the SA website, on the ravings from Mr Scott on both the quantity and quality in our shared area. I was suprised to see how right he is! My lines are now in the water, and a steady stream of bites are inbound, some quite tantilizing! Met some one online and chatted via text and email. Finally set up the meet and was supposed to have this nice dinner in the Slip. Dinner time comes and she doesn't show. I text and nothing, so I finally give her a call. This is where it gets weird, and now I am spooked and getting ready to call the cops.
She says she is going to tell me the truth because I seem like a really nice guy. She says she is working for a woman in Richmond who has several girls on the dating sites.

She reminds me of my first foray into the SB pool. The girl texted me the morning of our M&G asking for 2k to stave off eviction. Told her I couldn't help, blocked her number, and haven't looked back. You need to do the same, or your life will be one huge headache.

I completely agree we should all stay away from these unhappy folks. In my experience, though, this definition fits the WSW and BSW model more commonly than the SB. Of course SWs are for sure pros, and SBs try not to be, or try not to appear to be. Most of the SBs I've sought out and met have been in need of sugar, and some of them desperately. I've never encountered a substance addicted SB (well, two were alcoholics) or one who has been incarcerated (to my knowledge). I see SBs as in transition, usually having greater than short term goals, and determined to keep a non-pro identity while temporarily supplementing their income with pops of sugar from SDs until they can achieve those goals.
Poverty, or relative poverty anyway, is for sure a major motivation for most SBs. So while I would agree that we should stay away from Nando 1's (as defined above) , I think economic disparity between SD and SB is a necessary element in our equation for SD success. Put another way, I wouldn't disqualify an SB candidate simply because she needs money. Young mothers who need money to pay the rent and who are determined never to become pro are prime targets. As are young college students and graduates burdened with student loan debt. In most cases, I believe, these girls have a choice. They can take low paying menial jobs and work their asses off, or they can find an SD and swap access to their vagina for some sugar and good times. In my personal moral code, while I think choosing to be an SB might not be the best for her character development, I don't feel we are taking advantage of the girl by giving her what she wants in exchange for what we want. Being an SD is probably not all that good for character development either, but that's human weakness for you.
As to strippers. I find them much more likely to be true Nando 1's. They are often hard as nails, turning away propositions for intercourse multiple times each working hour, and good ones make so much sugar from the tease that they have no need to turn tricks. You can drop $300 on an artful stripper as fast as you can on a hooker, and you often hear mongers muttering on the way out of the VIP "Damn, I could have hired an escort for a lot less than that."
But the life of a stripper is hard and it comes through in her relationships. I've had some beautiful sessions with strippers (not Nando 1's though) but they were all desperate to get out of The Life. Not so with SBs, many of whom seem to view being an SB as a kind of lark and basically meaningless while they are waiting for something else they are confident will come along before too long.
I'm overgeneralizing, I know, and I'm sure others have different experiences.
I called them the sportsters meaning many were in the biz for fun or extra cash. Lit is right, it's very difficult to categorize everybody but what seems to have stuck as a desperada with nothing to lose is a Nando 1. I think of Nando 3s as true SBs who are looking to supplement their lifestyle, even pay the rent, without being so close to the edge that a flat tire will send them to their SD calling for money on a regular basis.
I spend the max amount of Sugar budget on my current HCB ATF and a call for a significant amount of unscheduled $$$ would create a little stress. Therefore I don't want my SB calling for Sugar. She gets enough as it is. And she has never asked for anything. I love that about her and I give her more and more as I am able. If I weren't married I'd give her more than she could make as a practicing attorney. Maybe she will give me sugar someday when she passes the bar and gets a grownup job.
