I had been checking out 1st ave north between Mc Donalds and Krispy Kreme every day in the early morning around 3am. Most of the time I saw no one or obvious TVs. On Thursday morning I saw a blonde named Tonya I think and picked her up. She gave me one of the best BBBJTCIM I have ever had, no rush and made sure I enjoyed it. She was not a 10 but her skills were excellent. I have not seen her out since, but I have not been out at that time again either.

I'm another one of the former regulars here, I posted a lot during 2003-2005 and I still stop by to check out reports on the scene here in Birmingham out of habit/curiousity more than anything.
I've all but given up the hobby - I've picked up two girls in the past year and have only cruised the track seven or eight times in the same period. I have not encountered anything worth posting here in a long while.
I guess my "glory" days were when the old "Squirrel House" or the Trap-as the girls called it-was a beehive of SW activity in '04 and '05. This particular house was in the block behind the Sky Inn in Woodlawn and had a front porch enclosed with lattice and an odd, hand-painted wooden cut-out of a squirrel hanging from the lattice. I was particularly enamoured with a young WSW named Kim (aka "Red") that lived there for a while. There were several really hot (8 or 9 SW scale) girls that hung out there for a while (Pinky, Dakota, et al.)
One of the reasons that I stopped cruising so much was that a couple of undercover LE officers "made me"("ID'd me"), pulled me over more than once and warned me to keep out of the area. I hold no grudges against them, though; they were nice about it and have probably helped to keep me out of trouble in the long run. Apparently, one of the girls that I knew in the area must have told them my entire story.
Another incentive for getting out of this hobby is that I got tired of getting ripped off, either flat out ripped off or through lousy service.
[Of course, you think I would have given up the game after I got robbed by a TV SW in Orlando, FL one night in 2003. I didn't know s/he was a TV when I picked her up. When I realized my mistake (after s/he cop check me! Gulp!) and asked it to get out, I found myself at the wrong end of a switchblade. Thankfully, I only lost $40.00]
I know at the end of my run with the hobby, the scene was shifting towards Southside, out west (West End, Bessemer), and to some of the "nicer" motels in Robuck/Center Point area, which is probably the way it is still is today. I spent a lot of time in the Motel 8 and the green No-tel across from McD's back in the day. The activity at these places seems to have cooled off.
Nowadays, my primary focus is civilian/volunteer sex partners. Some of you might be surprised at the number of beautiful freaks there are at *******.

Also, about the fires in the crack houses. When you have people fucked-up on drugs that are playing with fire (lighters and glass pipes) there are going to be some opportunities for "urban renewal". Honestly, I cannot believe the Motel 8 or the Relax has not had any fires... Of course, I am also surprised that the city has not shut them down, they are flash points for crime in this city.
The biggest crime surrounding these No-tels is that the city continues to let them function. Maybe the city's administration saw the third season of The Wire and has decided to create de facto legalized drug markets in these areas?

Another reason that I have given up on cruising around town and picking up SW's:
I am a recovering alcoholic/drug addict and I constantly bump into girls that I have "dated" in AA meetings! It can be a very uncomfortable situation.
Some of them have really turned their lives around and are doing quite well.
I'm still around yet keeping a much lower profile than in the past. And about the only things I use SW's for anymore is keeping tabs on known crooked cops that patrol the area. You never know when such information and photographic proof might come in handy. ;)

Do tell? How in the world do you find that out about someone on *******? I spend a lot of time on there, and other than people I already know the predilections of, I have not learned any freaky information about anyone!
What I would guess speaking about *******, is he probably uses the 'browse' feature and searches certain categories. Browse is in the toolbar where the 'home', 'mail', 'search', and 'blog' features are. In browse, there is a category where you can search specifically for 'swingers'. You can also click single, married, or whether you're looking for friends, dating or a relationship. There's also an X rated ******* clone called xpeeps dot com where you'd probably see stuff a little more blatant and probably a little easier than searching on *******.

I doubt that was actually the girl you'd meet up with. Just the logo at the bottom right of the pic shows it's not real but pulled off some professional webcam site or something. I'm not saying you wouldn't meet up with 'a' girl, just not the girl you expect to.

Was in Birmingham for work yesterday and got off at 230 am. I'm sure it's the same Lesley (the way her name was on the sheriff website). She's been at the one across from McDonalds as of last week, so I'm sure she just moved across the street. She does have an attitude, thinks too much of herself and charges too much from what I've heard as well. The way she acts when you pass by is she'll look at you as if she didn't care if you stopped or not, and just from the way she looks at you she makes herself not very personable. I've never dated her since I first saw her attitude and heard of her attitude from others, then I heard from more than one source that she has HIV so that steered me away from her for good. Serena is still out there. I've lately seen her out late at night walking in the Woodlawn area. I've not seen her venture down 1st past the interstate though, it's always in Woodlawn and in the direction heading toward town.
Now Grandma has a tendency to disappear for months at a time. She also walks over on the southside as well, so she might be over there. But since I've known her to be out on the stroll, well over 15 years, she will disappear for several months then pop back up and you'll see her almost every time you're out. Generally it means she's in jail somewhere, because she always appears back plumper than she was before she vanished. I've found out that the Jefferson County site doesn't show people that get arrested by the city of Birmingham as I once though. A girl I knew got arrested last week by Birmingham and when she got bailed out or released by Birmingham she was to be transferred to Jefferson County. She didn't appear on the Jefferson County site until she showed up at the County jail. I wonder how the girls end up at county because you hardly ever see any sheriffs patrolling, so you know they have to be picked up by the city. And the city doesn't have a site that shows pictures or even a list of inmates.
I have a camera, well now I have two since I found a charger I thought I had lost. The only thing is I'm basically only out at night lately, and they don't take good pics at night. It would be alot more obvious, too. I was going to start taking pics a few months ago when I had posted those few, but that's around the time gas started getting so high and I had to slim back my driving, and that basically cut out daytime driving until it got more reasonably priced. If I know who someone is I can always try to find their mug shot if I have it. The problem is, ones like Grandma, and even the bandanna one with the limp has never been on the county site since I started keeping up with the pics. When gas starts going down more, probably once the 4th passes, I'll be out more in the daytime and will try to take some decent pics.

Now if you're meaning the total number of posts listed to the right, I've not been noticing that number as to whether it moves or not.
About the Craigslist ad you responded to, was the picture the girl sent you even a picture of her, maybe at a younger and more slimmer age, or was it someone totally different ? And if it was her, did she let you be aware she might not look like she does in the picture or that she gained weight. Or did she tell you anything ? What was her response when you showed up as to her deceiving you ? I can see if she was very overweight that she might have been embarressed to send an actual pic of herself, thinking people might not be interested in her if she showed what she actually looked like. Maybe she thought her personality or something might have been enough to offset the fact that she sent out a pic that wasn't her. I agree deception in that way isn't right, but at least you weren't going to meet an escort or something, lol. I was in Centerpoint last Saturday and saw the sign on at Time, but then on Tuesday it was off. I didn't notice QT. I drove by Super, but their sign was off. And it appears that Sun has taken their signs completely down in Homewood.
Went out this afternoon, and only saw a few girls out. I figured town might have a little less traffic due to the 4th, but I think it was more crowded than usual. I was sitting at home yesterday and bored waiting so I cruised the Bham Craigslists and ended up calling a girl going by the name natalie. She has an incall at one of the local hotels. I know alot of people on here know the do's and don't's of mongering, but let me refresh the ones' that don't
1. Don't ever go where the girl wants to go. I f you don't know where to go, scout the areas and find a spot where no one will be suspicious of what you're doing. A spot good both at day and night. Have a few spots. My way of thinking is twofold. I either want to blend in or be a million miles from someone. And by blending in, the best places are a grocery store parking lot away from the main customers, and if the girl is willing drive around Century Plaza, Eastwood Mall area try that. It only takes a few minutes to get there. All girls have "their spot" where they want to go. I've had girls tell me where to go, and when we get there, it's basically outside someones' house on a residential street, or apartment, alley, or in the middle of crack and eightball. I want to be somewhere where I know someone's not going to crack me in the head. Plus if you're a white guy, you're already looking suspicious just being in that part of town. Don't make it any worse.
2. Always, if you can, get as far away from where you picked the girl up at. Away from the hot zone as I like to call it. Again, if she doesn't give you shit about it. If she does put her out.
3. Only have on you what you need (drivers license, car ins. Card, and only the money you plan to give away). If you carry a billfold, put it on your side of the car.
4. Don't pick up girls who have someone tailing them, or around them in any way.
5. Don't go in motels. If you must be at a motel, go to one of your choice.
6. Always keep your eyes open and looking around. I know it can be hard at times, but if you're aware of your surroundings, and you're in an area you fee safe about, it will save you a trip to jail, or the hospital, or a morgue.
7. Don't give money up front. Wait until you have decided on a spot, and after you're sure she's not LE, then give it up.
8. Never pick a girl up who you are seeing out for the first time. Make sure she dates.
9. Don't pick girls up in front af a thousand people.
10. Don't drop her off in front of a thousand people.
These are just some simple rules to follow. You don't have to follow them, but they may save you some trouble in the future.
Also I went out again yesterday evening and saw a WSW wearing a white/pink sundress in front of the CVS on 1st. Looked like she was going to Easter Sunday service. Had short strawberry blonde hair, nice figure probably 5'7 125#.
An addendum to what Spiderman said, baiscally he said what I'm about to say just not in so many words. If you happen to see a girl you are interested in, don't let your little brain overshadow the brain in your head. Always circle a few times and make sure there isn't any cops parked somewhere watching this girl walking, or that she doesn't have a shadow tailing her. There's several reasons to watch for the shadows, not only could it be potentially dangerous, but if she has a shadow she's going to be in much more of a hurry than she normally would be because he's there waiting on her to get back. Make sure you feel safe picking her up, and don't just stop suddenly out on the main road to pick her up. Try to get her to walk down a side road and if she won't, move on. Circling might make a girl pissed at you because I've had more than one girl tell me when they see someone circle they think they're just messing with them and don't intend on picking them up, and after they see you circle a few times they will probably ignore you. This method more often than not might mean you'll miss out on a girl, but better to miss out on someone than to get robbed or harassed by the cops or arrested. If you don't know where to go when you do pick them up, look around and find somewhere you feel comfortable at. I mentioned a few weeks ago there's a road by the airport called Eask Lake Boulevard. Down by the Coca Cola plant there's an area you can pull over by a fence that's dark and even though it's right by the main road people that pass by tend to ignore you. I've carried my share of girls over to this spot in the past, and for the time most people are going to spend with a SW, you could do your business and be on your way without being bothered by anyone. People park there to watch planes take off and land, but everyone knows what else goes on there, and it seems to be ignored. I sat there one night talking on the phone and watched someone in front of me a piece pull over and screwed for about a half hour and when they got through they were on their way.
By the way, if someone does something to you such as was reported, please try to post as detailed of a description as you can. I have many pictures of girls who have been arrested, and I might have or know of the girl described and could give better insight or I might could provide a picture.
There was something wierd going on down first the 4th. Newer Ford truck with about an 5X10 enclosed trailer was cruising all the known hot spots. What got me interested in it was it pulled down the street between the car lot and Sky motel and stopped. A very attractive white girl got out wearing a dress that showed great legs along with her guy friend. Soon after a couple of Sw's and their "shadows" were around and going in and out of the now open trailer. I never could see what was in the trailer but it was either a rolling drug lab or a rolling store for stolen goods. By the time I circled around and came up behind it they had closed the doors and were taking off. I did happen to have some fun as Lesley was out on the corner talking to some guy in a red car. So I rolled by and stated very loudly that she had AIDS. That guy beat me to the stop sign he was in such a hurry to get away from her. All I could hear as pulling out on to first was her screaming and cussing. Turned up first and saw some black guy running to her aid. I about died laughing the whole way down to the Pig for more ribs.
As for the chap who had his wallet taken. I learned a long time ago never under estimate an area like 1st. Anything can happen down there even to folks just driving through. A good little trick I have is North American Arms makes a small .22 long revolver that you can get in a "pocket holster" that looks like a wallet. The only give away is a slot to cock the hammer back, a hole to pull the trigger, and a hole for the barrel. But in poor lighting conditions they won't know what it is till it's too late.
Does anyone have suggestions for some reputable local providers that let you take their pictures in a session?
