Like MetsFan, I've taken girls back to my place on much more than one occasion over the years (even had a few live-in stripper girlfriends) and for the most part without any problems (but not without some). I agree with Mets that the key is to proof the house in advance, keep a close eye on them and avoid the crazy ones.
I'd go a few steps further: 1) I'd never bring a girl back I hadn't seen elsewhere at least once before (preferably several times before) on the theory that provides me a little greater assurance they won't turn out to be one of the crazies and possibly provide them greater motivation not to risk screwing up a regular thing by pilfering anything of relative minor value I might of left out and 2) as tempting as it might be, NEVER bring back her with one of her friends for a double (it's impossible to keep your eyes on both of them at all times, especially when one of them may have you distracted doing to you what you brought her there to do).
But NOTHING is without some risk. How many of you have ever run into a problem getting a crazy chick out of your car after a deal has not gone down as agreed (or you failed to agree). That's happened to me twice (and as it turns out in both cases with girls I had seen before and even had back to my house). I can only imagine how much more of a problem that would've been for me if the dispute happened in my house.
Actually, I can more than just imagine. One time early in my hobbying career, I made the mistake of calling an escort out to my house. When she showed up she looked nothing like her pics and I told her she lied and the deal was off (so take a hike). I dunno I might have offered her $20 for her cost of driving (which was more than she deserved). Well, she starts yelling loudly that she wants all her money and gets her driver out of her car in my driveway (another aspect I failed to anticipate) to back up her threats which included calling the police. I told her "go ahead, in fact I'll call them for you" (all the while fearing her driver would push his way into my house and beat and rob me). But he got the better sense not to push it too far and risk really getting cops involved so he dragged his crazy screaming girlfriend away. I counted my lucky stars it didn't turn out even worse but to this day I don't know which if any of my neighbors might have heard/seen the embarrassing scene. And this was with a, presumably more stable less sketchy, escort-level provider and not just with some drugged out streetwalker. Point is there are things to be concerned about beyond just being ripped off or assaulted.
As much as you may try, you can't lock down every single item or keep your eyes on them every single moment. It might not be anything of great value, but little things can and do sometimes disappear. Girls can and do disappear themselves into your bathroom (BTW, I don't leave valuables just lying out but my bathroom has closets with stuff tucked away in the back corners that could just as easily be stuffed in their handbags if they poke around). But pilfering aside, my much larger concern is what illegal drugs they might be bringing into my house and shooting up in my bathroom. How I'd have to deal with THAT if God forbid they had a bad reaction or OD'd. That would be bad enough if it ever happened while I was in their motel room, but at my house would be a complete nightmare. Fortunately, THAT has never happened with me but it doesn't mean it's impossible.

There's plenty of great spots with no traffic, especially weekends, industrial areas are ghost towns At least 6 places all within a mile of the wiz and you should be going at least a mile away just saying.

So Knowing what little thieves most are, & to still let yourself be a victim really kind of says more about the victim than it says about them if you didn't SW proof your shit.

I have been looking for spots as I had said. Some of the industrial spots do look promising. At least a mile away. Excellent specific there. I was actually wondering how far away I COULD take them or that they would allow me to take them that far away.

Some of the other specific posts have been very helpful in this regard too. I feel like light tinting has to help a little.
I HAVE done car dates with girls that I went and picked up so not SW but like a CL girl or car date only. And that was in my old 4 door sedan that had zero tinting. So I know it can be done. But in those situations, and here is where Luckytoo is right, it wasn't in known pickup spots where there are drugs and SWs everywhere. We all have different methods of operation-I like to blend in and look just like a normal person with shades up like other cars in parking lots. Look perfectly normal! I don't hide in warehouse areas where they have surveillance cameras and police patrol (that just looks suspicious especially at night). Take whatever advice and go what your comfortable with. I certainly don't want very dark Suspicious or reflective tint-the car just stands out and easy to pick out and remember that vehicle. One or two passes police will remember that one. We all feel our method is best. It's a hobby-create your own technique and share. I switch cars up too.

Funny you mentioned lots of guys on bikes that was my experience too.
