When I do a shoot, I bring lights and do a minimum of for different set-ups in the two hour shoot. From this shoot the provider will have a minimum of 150 pics to choose from for final editing. From the chosen proofs, I then edit a minimum of three from each set-up for Photoshop "tweaking." I don't change the look of the provider, but improve exposure contrast, color balance. These are then re-sized (originals are 3000 x 2400 dpi) down to 800 x 600 for use in emails and on the web. She then is given a DVD with all of the originals, the Photoshop files and the finished files.

With the shoot and editing I have about eight hours invested in the project, so to work eights hours for a single hour appointment really doesn't compute, let alone pay the provider for a session just to have the "honor" to shoot her. There are many hobbyists out there that have good digital cameras that "get off" on taking pictures of the ladies they fuck and could possibly improve what she has to offer. But it takes a professional, one who keeps things on a professional level to give professional results and that takes money.

There is another side to this whole "barter for pics" story and that is the photographer has to find the provider attractive and his type to even consider doing it. Over the years I have shot many ladies who I would never make a paying appointment with. Just because they are not my "type" doesn't mean that they aren't someone else's goddess or that they don't deserve good pictures to show their best side.

With bartering there is no hard math. Something is only as valuable as what someone is willing to pay for it, and how much you value it. If I traded some PC work with a doctor for a quick checkup, all he lost was time and so did I. But he gained a working computer and I get peace of mind. Whose work is more valuable?

You should put pics up as you are and if you don't wear markup in your sessions you shouldn't in your pics. All a provider should have are some nice real pics up of herself of what she will look like when you come in the door. There shouldn't be anything hidden unless there is outfits you wear thats hides it in the session. My .02 on the whole pics thing is that I agree to an extent. While I haven't had the pleasure of dreaming of silk #1 I'll call her I do love her pics.
