I'm having a lot of connectivity issues with my monger phone lately. It's a Trac Phone which I've had for about 5 years or so and I think it's time to try a new phone and service. I see there are more options now for pre-paid phones.

Can anyone share their recommendations or experiences for a phone and service? Of course I want to be able to register it anonymously, but stable network connections is almost as important.

Verizon has the best wireless network. If you get around a lot like I do, you want connectivity in the remotest of areas. $35 per month for unlimited text and talk. Get it at Walmart. All anonymous, of course.

You're welcome. Go to any Walmart on or before your phone's monthly renewal date and add $35 cash to an existing or new Walmart Verizon phone card. If it's an existing card, you don't need to do anything further because the card is already tied to your phone. If it's a new card (sometimes they won't be able to add money to an existing card and you'll have to get a new card), dial 611 from your phone and enter the new card number. The card itself is, of course, free. You pay to add money to it.

In case anyone is not aware of this tidbit- a phone with fingerprint security is less secure than one with a numerical password so if you have a fancy prepaid like the big A that does fingerprint unlocking make sure you select numbers not a thumbprint to unlock it. I read about that not too long ago that your privacy is more secure from LEO that way than with a print-- something for anyone and everyone to be aware of if they do anything that might be considered outside the law like "mongering".

I have been using google voice and use it thought the webpage and not the app. They issue you a new number and you can sent SMS and phone calls, it uses minutes from my cell account but give you some privacy.
