Newcomer here and just trying to help out anyway I can. I wrote up a "how to" on securing anonymity when using your phone as an alternate to having a burner phone. Check it out:

A friend of mine has latched on to a very attractive female friend (both are married) and he is starting to dabble some with her. He asked about the possibilities of getting an apartment or room to help save some hotel costs (he prefers not to go to cheapies) and since they may be knocking boots 2 x a week, thought maybe getting an apartment for a couple hundred a month might be best.

There's nothing you can ask, do or say that will protect you from law enforcement if they are conducting a sting and you show up with a lot of cash in your pocket. If you get pinched remain silent and get a lawyer.
