To me, it is important if the pictures are recent. We know some providers post old pictures from their glory days but look nothing like it now. I recently saw a girl in Florida near St. Pete and she admitted to posting fake pictures and incorrect age. She was cute though but definitely didn't have the body like in the pics she posted.

But if I'm not attracted by what I see, I'm not making the call.
Tineye is your friend. Professional photos are never taken seriously because it immediately implies scam / fake / agency / handler.
VARIETY of photos speaks loudest. And changing out new photos frequently speaks even louder. I always take homemade mirror self portraits more seriously than any posed shot because it tells me the provider is more likely an independent than not.
Silk does the best job of of any provider I've seen on this board in terms of variety and the updating of photos. And she is absolutely WYSIWYG once you meet her (she's actually even better looking in person). Many other providers do the same. And I'm sure this kind of attention to detail pays off for them as well.
What I have a problem with is when photos cover "flaws" and when flaws are not disclosed. I just love when I arrive first time for a session and SURPRISE! Me: "Oh, I didn't know you had a huge pair of tattooed eyes on the back of your ass staring at me while I'm pounding you from behind!" (not that tattoos are "flaws"). Or "Oh, now I know why you wore a one-piece bathing suit in your photos so you could cover your flabby stomach that looks like someone used a blender on it."
Sorry if this sounds a little harsh. But hey, I always open the hood before I buy a used car, too.

I like to see one. Face can be blurred. But a general pic is nice. I choose from word of mouth and rep more than anything. So I'd say a 3 or 4 for me. Solid rep beats pictures anyday.

Doesn't have to be professional but a current idea of the body shape / type does matter to me. Spinner vs small bbw etc, it is important to know ahead of time. I hate surprises.
I definitely want some photos so I can see the lady's attributes. Professional shots are not necessary. You can tell a lot by what they show or don't show. I never see a provider that does not provide pics.

I am a visual person and very picky, and I don't like surprises as an unwelcomed surprise is neither a win for me or the lady. Photos do not necessarily have to be professional and may have the face slightly disguised, but do need to be a current and accurate representation of the lady's shape and general appearance. While a face view is most ideal, I can certainly appreciate and respect one's desire for discretion.

I don't care if they are professional photographs, but I need to see the girl before I even think about it! Now, I have been coerced into choosing one over the other due to the quality of the pics, but I think that will only get a guy in the door and it is up to the provider for client retention.
In my humble opinion, pictures will only get you so far and a hot chick is hot with or without professional photographs. A man with a hard on has been tricked many times by the professional photographer!

I'm glad that someone finally brought up the topic of providers pictures. To me the pictures posted by providers are thier first and sometimes only impression they get with some hobbiest. Its obvious that no one is perfect, so there is no need to cover up imperfections with old or overly touched up pictures. I feel that the photos should bring out the natural beauty most of the women on our board posses. Just cover the basics, to me I feel a collection of 5 photos is all thats needed. One of your pretty face, and if you don't think you have a pretty face trust me someone does. Also try highlighting your big beautiful eyes (you can tell a lot about someone thru looking into their eyes). And the rest of the photos should be a compilation showing off all the beautiful assets you posses.
