Re: when requesting an appointment
All we / I ask is a fairly quick response (within the hour?) when requesting an appointment. If you don't respond to our request immediately but hours later and don't get a quick response from us, don't get mad. We might be in a meeting, we might have blocked your number since you didn't respond right away. Everyone is busy but it helps us to reply to our request in a timely fashion. Keep your line of communication open and immediate. I don't want to get in some long drawn out texting with you. I want to know if you're available and when. I can make a decision based on that. But I can't make that decision if you don't respond for hours on end. Now, in regard to your question above: if someone is making requests 15 minutes before appt, depending on the request, tell them to either show up as discussed or cancel. If they don't respond to your texts leading up to the appointment and they don't arrive on time, don't answer the door. My $. 02.
Last month I tried tp hook up with a well known provider here on the east side. I texted her asking if she could see me that day or the next day. I didn't hear back from her for a few days so I found someone else. SIXTEEN days later she finally answered my text and all she asked me was "are you available tonight?" I thought, seriously? After 16 freakin days? I don't think so. No apology or an excuse for waiting 16 days to respond. Nothing but those four little words. So I replied back right away with a sorry honey, but common courtesy goes a long way with me.
