His side of the story (from your perspective) isn't valid because he may have told you anything to get himself out of a jam. Unless you were on the phone and brokered the deal you are operating completely based on what she told you. Off the top of my head I can think of several scenarios in which a provider would eat her own transportation.

This is a true story. One of your provider-friends engaged in initial conversation too arrange a meet. Over the course of 2 weeks with schedule conflicts and alike we arrange to make contact.
