Also this reveals a little bit about how all this works on the back end. I hear from girls that the way they get connected to these shops are "agents" they know in Japan. Mina said she had a Japan agent who knew all the good Japanese shops, but didn't know anything about America so she had to find an agent for the USA business.
The thing I'm most intrigued about is the power dynamics between the shop and the girls. They're here for 3 months at a time. I don't know how Japan-USA visas are and how you get one to come over, and what involvement the shop has in it. I was imagining they have to behave themselves because the shops can control them to some degree, maybe they have their passports or something.
