As a police band scanner radio enthusiast I can say that shift changes aren't that hard to figure out. In Las Vegas, one shift change is at two a.m. and here in sna, I think it might be same due to my observances from driving the track. So, try not to be too quick to judge, but still be cautious. Let's put it to bed. First of all, there are no Sw's in Irvine - PERIOD! Second, even though I did spot the towel, it required some serious digging and nobody other than a monger on this site would have a clue that the place even existed. Trust me, you will NOT find it by simply passing by. Thirdly, the towel is simply used as a symbol to help a monger find the exact apt once inside the community. The monger arrives and the towel disappears - not rocket science. The girls are simply running an incall which in that case, this topic has no business being in the SW thread.

It is interesting to note that this is taking place, but I highly doubt you simply go jonesin' for the towel, then knock on the door. I know I wouldn't.

I would agree with that as I always see them chasing out the girls around that time. It's as if they clean up the mess they neglected all night at the very last minute, which gives the next shift about an hour of clean streets before the girls eventually resurface.

Btw though... streets were barren this weekend - only a stray here and there, so the track is officially on lock-down. Hornilius69 is right, Fig is where it's at right now, but I just can't stomach the drive up there anymore and it's a real shithole on that stretch, so if something were to ever happen to me up there, I'd have nobody to blame but myself. Sunday morning between 5 and 6 AM there were 3 SWs working the corner of Hazard and Harbor. One was a good-looking blond WSW in a skimpy dress and heels. It's been a long while since I've done a prostitution trial, but not that long ago, I did a pandering trial based on a prostitution sting. I know these are different (the stings where they have the female cops outside luring in Johns) from when they pick up the girls, but from my memory of those prostitution cases, the MO is similar. It is generally not the regular patrol officers who are harassing the prostitutes, or, more importantly for our purposes, following around guys who pick up prostitutes. If you make it obvious, I guess they may pull you over. But in general, every case I saw was vice.

The thing you have to know about Vice is that they don't work normal shifts (it's one of the allures of being on vice, along with not having to respond to radio calls, not having to wear your uniform all the time, and things of the like). Because of this, they may work a 12 hour (or more) shift starting at 6PM and going to 6AM, or something entirely different. They will generally rely on patrol officers to pull cars over for them that are involved in their stings, but they operate totally outside of that.

Furthermore, for those of you who like your police scanners and find them to be of any value whatsoever, these special units do not use the regular frequencies that the rest of the force uses. They operate on tactical frequencies that can't be picked up with regular scanners. Now, I'm sure that these are not encrypted networks (actually, I really don't know, but I don't think so), however, I don't know how easy they are to listen in on.

As a result, you will not hear the conversation between vice officers, or narcotics officers, or any other special unit that uses these tactical frequencies.

So, don't put too much credence into shift changes. However, for the girls it matters much more. Since they are out on the street and blatant in their activities (they have to be for guys to see them and pick them up), they are walking probable cause for cops to stop and talk to. Most jurisdictions now have conditions of probation for prostitues that stop them from walking on the streets at night, talking to motorists, and doing all the other things one would expect a streetwalker to do. This means that regular patrol officers can stop girls, find out if they're on probation or have any warrants (many of them do, not unsurprisingly), and arrest them for violating their probation without actually catching them in the act of prostitution or soliciting an act of prostitution. Thus, patrol officers can play a much larger role in messing with the girls than the guys.

This is not to say that you don't have to be worried about patrol officers. You should. But, whatever time shifts start or end, you face the possibility of running into a vice sting at any time. So be careful!

So I just got back from cruising the tracks.. Started off on Harbor, but didnt see much to my liking so I hopped on the fwy and got off Beach and headed north... I saw a few Sw's out and passed one who was walking by the Chevron, so I pulled into that neighborhood and tried to wait for her. I am from the Boston fourum and we have the Raven phone lines. It can be good & bad because you can't see the person until you get there. However I have met some nice ones on there. One thing you have to worry about is that if you set up a incall (beside someone waiting for you in the house) that people play jokes and do fake hook-ups and send you to a fake address. You ring the bell and someone that does not know your coming anwsers and you have to act like you are at the wrong house. If I get a hook up like that I make them tape a piece of paper in the window or on the door so I know they are really there. Now Jackson should have no problem with you posting the name & number of the chat line as we (in Boston) made a new thread just for the chatline.

I am fairly surprised that the cops have not been much more aggressive in enforcing and and issuing SOAP's (stay out of area prostitution orders) to the SW's. The cops have used this fairly effectively in SD. But that's primarily because SD has had a lot of the same SW's. I hope that this does not kill off all the action up there.

Drove around a few times, absolutely nothing! Am I going at the wrong times or something? I know I shouldn't be expected to find anything on Beach but Harbor was literally bare. I simply know the neighborhood very well (whether I live here or not is irrelevant). Guys on here give warnings about stings, police reports, etc.

What I said was not a threat by me, I am not a pig or a rat. Just a warning.

Residents in Woodbury call the police for stuff like the way a car is parked, if there's a boat or rv on the street parked. The point is they call the heat for very minor things that in many other neighborhoods would not happen often.

When a place has residents like that. That is the type of area I would never monger in.

I see reckless mongers on the streets all the time. I guess hey don't know any better but I am all about not attracting heat.

He ended up going somewhere else, so i was going stop at either jib or the taco place! My phone starts ringing and its my buddy from the marines! So I pull into the jib and park! i call my buddy back and we start chatting about a fight he got into at a club! Funny story, but not for this board! He says to me, you know your in a high volume area for prostitution and i go yeah, I've lived down the street not even a couple miles aways my whole life! Its been like this since i can remember! he says they are shutting the area down and no one is allowed to be hanging around the parking lots or drive through the areas or else they will be stopped and arrested and get there car impounded! I thought i knew my rights as an American, but i guess i didn't, i am no longer allowed to go to jib or drive on harbor past 1AM! He also said he was gonna give me a warning for being out here! I'm with you St Stephen. I have done a lot of daytime and early AM cruising in the last 2 weeks and the track has been pitifully quiet. I'm going to have to plan a trip to Fresno where I have never been disappointed.

But be patient. Harbor always comes back eventually.

As if doing stuff off the internet was not crazy enough, but party lines require even less sophistication and money (read.computer and internet connection) to use, so they attract a whole different group of clientele. I had a murder case a few years ago where a woman (my client) lured a guy to her house with a promise of stripping for him so her husband could rob the guy. The guy parks his car, the husband steps out with a gun and just shot him in the head. Both of them got the idea from friends of theirs who were regularly ripping guys off this way.

Remember, people know that you are reticent to call the cops because you're doing something only quasi-legal, and because many of you are married and don't want to suffer the embarrassment of this becoming public. The shooting was gratuitous in this case, but it could happen any time.

Just be extra vigilant when dealing with these kinds of hook ups.

This is unreal, talk about police harassment. Whatever happened to freedom of assembly...? The best thing to do is simply say nothing. Or simply say you going to answer your phone and nothing else.

No one knows that I am around watching them. I parked my car in the retail center with a broad view of the area. There were cars all around and my car blended in with the other cars. Unless you know whats going on no one cares about me sitting in a car or calls the cop on me. I haven't done anything wrong. I am pretty discreet about this and so are a few other mongers who are also observing. Don't worry about us pervs in your neighborhood. Like others I bought Starbucks coffee and ate at the local fast food joints to help the local economy.

We just want a piece of the action and I am even dressed like the locals in shorts and sandals to blend in. I saw her a few times now when she went out to the balcony to put up the red towel. Checked out Harbor this morning, street was empty and no girls anywhere. I used to remember last year there were lots of girls out on Harbor, Hazard, Camille, 11th, Trask, and Jackson Street during this time of year. LEO are busting down Massage Parlor and cleaning the street of Harbor actively.

The store itself never seems to close but what got my curiosity is that there is always people standing out in front. The other night I passed by, I saw a few girls, but there was a dude with them. Was wondering if these were street girls or if they were just hanging out. Any ideas? This is a very popular donut shop, called B & B Donuts. Used to be a weekly stop for me when I used to work in the area. Donuts were very fresh, great service, but some "interesting" late night/early morning customers.

The people that hang out there are mostly the addicts that live in the nearby motels. They all know each other. Yes, the girls you see there all "work" but you wouldn't want to touch 4 out of 5 of them even with your worst enemy's dick! Most are meth heads and the majority have severe gambling issues and will play the scratchers and the daily hot spot in there. The one's not on drugs are alcoholics and/or degenerate gamblers.

Beach Blvd is NOT a famous travelling track, unlike like HB which attracts real pros. Beach is virtually all locals that will take basically whatever you have in your pocket to buy a lotto ticket or some drugs. Occasionally, you'll hit the jackpot and find a girl like Kat roaming the area, but like I've said before, it's few and far between. If you're absolutely dying of boredom and are just attracted to seeing whatever type of shit can happen after dark, Beach can be entertaining, but as far as finding a dime-piece or even a chick that is passable is going to be a challenge. My advice is to stay away from here as you can get yourself into a huge heap of trouble and have a tough way of explaining to LE why you're in that area. Both Anaheim and Stanton PD are pretty tough along this stretch.

Other than finding Kat on Beach, and that was only one time, the only other girls that were cute and decent were the young blondie who hangs around the Chevron at Ball and the latina spinner (Marilyn) who can be found (rarely) between GG Blvd and the first 76 station you hit if going north. I usually cruise Beach since it is on my way home most times. But yeah, I've picked up a few girls along this street and had a few good times, most other girls I tend to pass by are just as you say: meth heads. I like to chat em up at the liquor store because they say the craziest things. I know its sad, but at the same time they say some funny things. I just hope I can run into that blondie sometime.
