I agree with the previous posts about paying too much. I have been seriously into AMP's for the last 15yrs and have been through those I could find in Augusta, St. Mary's, Macon, Newnan-when there was one, the southside was the best ever before they all got shut down, I even slipped into Olympic before they were closed, I have NEVER paid more than 100 for FS. Never more than 60 for BJ, max HJ payment was 60. Too much, only paid that once because I had the money on me like an idiot, 40 is enough for a HJ. It's all in how you negotiate. Out of 15yrs I've only had serious static from one, a super hot Korean chic at Oasis on the southside. She had JUST arrived from LA and I was her first "job" here. Personally, I have a bit of peeve about people who don't speak English well (or pretend not to), so the less talking when I'm horny, the better. Throw in the fact that for some people, there isn't much of a difference between $100 and $400 and there's even less of an incentive to talk down the price.

There seems to be this line of thinking among some of you that we're all responsible for keeping your mongering bills low, which is ridiculous. It would be just as idiotic for me to say:

"Guys, just pay whatever these girls ask please. Don't negotiate with them because they develop fucked up attitudes, and that makes it hard for people like me that don't mind spending a lot of money."

I'm sure it's true that the Atlanta whoring community as a whole would be of higher quality if we all paid what was on the sticker; and this would be good for me- but if I suggested that we all do it, I'd get laughed off this forum, wouldn't I? I can't expect you to do what's uncomfortable for you so I'll have a better experience, right? So fuck...don't expect the next guy to step out of his comfort zone so that YOU can pay less either. Especially when a few hundred doesn't really matter to him...

What you fail to understand is, most of "us" don't haggle, we just put the tip out and if they don't like it walk. The little head knows who is boss so he keeps his mouth shut.

NEVER and I say NEVER should you let the girl set the price. If they are willing to do the deed for $ then they will start at $.6 and figure you will bargain.

The main problem with the whole market-setting argument is that a tiny fraction of mongers even come here to do research in the first place, so I'm not confident that a gentleman's agreement here to cap price ranges will have a real impact on market prices.

It's akin to me getting together with the member of a Porsche Enthusiast's club and us all agreeing "great damn cars, but overpriced". So we decide we're not paying more than $80k for a 911. Fine... problem is, we're about 1% of Porsche buyers, so we have no actual pull with the marketplace.

We all have our own comfort zone. For me, at an AMP, it's $200 total (room plus everything else) for an hour. For something like a CL girl, it's $150 for an hour. For a "high price escort" - a real GFE with skills - maybe $300 an hour or so. Famous PS I've jacked off too in movies (Lily Thai, for example) I'll go to $1k just to cross her off my list (I have a contact in the adult industry trying to set me up with Charmaine Star... I'll certainly do her for $1k, for example). I am very aware of what I can afford.

It comes down, of course, to why we monger. For me, it's just a luxury, but I think for some it's more of a "necessity" - that's why price is such a critical issue. It's an old, old argument that is never, ever going to die.

I am in agreement. For me nothing kills the mood more than haggling over prices. Plus, from experience, lowballing (no pun intended) a girl will usually result in a little less quality of service, and that is they key for me. I am going to let everyone in on a little secret that I have learned as a AMP hobbyist for the last 6. 7 years. I read this forum and several others and I am actually glad that most of you haggle and seem quite pushy from your description of events in terms of grabbing and trying to get what you want. It actually makes things better for me. In retrospect I probably seem like prince charming based on what they typically deal with just because I am nice and courteous and not pushy. I am not prince charming, but everything is relative.

Matter of fact, I take a completely opposite approach. I don't ask for aything. I enjoy the table shower and massage, make some friendly conversation. As I have been to many countries in Asia, many times I have been to countries they are from so conversation is easy and relaxed. I never bring up the subject of extras, because I assure you they will broach that on their own. They bring up the subject, I tell them what I can tip as that is all I have and then they decide. No haggling required.

This approach has been especially successful in places that are not AMP just regular massage places. They are so usd to guys asking for HJ or BJ and then haggling that it is probably refreshing to hear someone just appreciate a good massage. I don't always get extras on the first visit, but many times I will get a HJ or BJ without asking and with no tip expected. There is one lady I saw several times before she freely started providing HJ at the end of massage.
