This place is strictly legit. Michelle met me at the door and took me back to the room, asked if I wanted a shower. She said, point blank, "No sex." Therefore I paid with a credit card. The receipt said "Blue Ocean" in Burke. Passed a sauna on the way to the shower. Both the TS and the massage were excellent. I would go back.

However, the soap they use is something like ivory soap. Not what I use at home. My girlfriend has the nose of a bloodhound, and I know she'd be able to pick up on it. Fortunately I was also getting a haircut that day, so could explain any unusual smells away as the shampoo. Plus when I got home I had the excuse of, "Need to take a shower to get rid of all the itching little hairs. "
Do any of you have problems with scented soaps during the TS (or massage I suppose)? How do you deal with it? Bring your own soap in? I can't get a haircut each time I go

Your problem is not the soap. It is the trust issues with the GF at home.
If she is that concerned about you stepping out on her that she can pick up the scent if you showered somewhere else, you have a different problem. Trust.
Most spas pick unscented soap and lotions for just this reason. Occassionally they use Irish spring or the Old spice liquid soap in the TS, these should be no problem for most men.
Personally if a girl questioned me about a scent, I would say "why do you have a problem if I wash may hands and face somewhere, why do I have to explain that to you?".
Perfume is a DIFFERENT matter entirely. But you shouldn't have to explain soap smells. If its a big problem for you, keep alchohol wipes in your care and why down your hands, arms and neck before you go in.

[/QUOTE]Yeah, clearly there's a lack of trust. Whether he *merits* trust from his GF, given that he's going to AMPs without her knowledge, is another question. I'm not making any moral judgements here, but as a practical matter, just be prepared for the consequences of her finding out what's going on. If she's smart and suspicious, she's probably going to find out eventually. Better be prepared for that.
The suggestion about keeping some wipes in the car is a good one. But probably not enough. I think some women are downright psychic when it comes to detecting cheating. Best strategy is to plan things so you take another shower at home before you see her again.
Reasonable point about trust, but I for one try not to get in situations where I even have to explain anything. I do recommend, however, joining a health club - then you always have an excuse that you had a shower at the club. And, you can keep the duffel bag in the car with your brand of liquid soap to give to the attendant...

Some of the senior members swear by .4 for an HJ, but I don't paying .8 under for a nude/semi-nude HJ with "touching" as long as there is no haggling from the girl. HJ- $50-80 (depending on massage quality, attitude, rushed/non-rushed, clothed/nude, and degree of roaming)
BJ/FS- $80-100 (depending on CBJ, BBBJ, etc., FS is a $100 no matter how bad the service)
Quite frankly, Nova AMPs are far too hit-and-miss when it comes counting on anything more then a standard release. Most times its dependent on the girl and not the establishment on whether you go anything more then the standard finish. AMPs that do FS as a policy always get busted in 6 months or so (I can only think of one that has been around for 8 years or so). If BJ and FS are the main goal then finding something off Craigslist/Backpage or driving down to DC is the smarter option.
For me, it comes down to the overall experience. If I pay for a 1 hour house, and the girl gives a bad massage, clothed HJ, no roaming, and rushes me out the door in 30 or so minutes then she's getting a $50 tip ($40 if its less then 30 minutes).
If this girl spends the full hour pampering me, knows how to give a good massage, unclothed, and there is roaming, I will give $80 for a HJ.
Sometimes there is even LFK/DFK, which you don't get from most backpage/craigslist girls, and other services even with only a HJ finish. If I feel its really worth it I will even give a $100.
PA, I owe you one. Since I was in that area, I took your recommendation and headed down to the Downy. I was a walk-in (no appointment), but because the day and the time I went was a slow period, I was the only one there. (Of course, there was also only one therapist there, too.) And, by the time I departed, no one else had arrived, so it was a nice time.
When MMS answered and led me to the room, she asked if I had been there before. I told her "Yes, but only when the place was under a different name about 5 years ago. " When the therapist came in a few minutes later, she asked the same, and I told her the same. Then, she said, "Okay, lay down. " I was surprised that she didn't offer a TS, and I said "What? No TS? " She seemed a bit surprised that, for a supposed first-timer, I [u]knew[/u] about the TS. But, after a few moments discussion, she said "Okay, let's go. " All during the TS, she queried me about a number of things to mkae sure I was legit. (She asked the same questions later, during the massage, probably because she thought I might have been shading the truth. But, I must have satisfied her, because the standard NoVa ending was very good too.)
All in all, I was thoroughly satisfied (in spite of the many questions initially). She had a particular technique during the finish, in which she hooked my knee and thigh in order to hold my legs apart at the point of Shangr-La. I'd never experienced that before, but it was very effective. That, along with the DFK (another surprise), provided for a fantastic ending.
I provided a slightly larger tip than standard NoVa dictates. Which comports with what Bostonpeter is saying about a tipping [u]range[/u] for a particular finish.
In a desire to keep faith with PA and help keep this place lower on the radar, I'll only provide the name of the establishment via PM from [b]senior[/b] members. Since the therapist asked me not to reveal her name to my friends, I will hold that piece of information close to the vest.

Thanks![/QUOTE]Many places use unscented products. And for your body they should only be putting the bare-minimum necessary to reduce friction. 'Down there' they tend to use a lot more since more friction is needed, but the biggest concern for me is the oil on my body afterwards seeping into my cloths, while I don't have to worry about a significant other, I do have to worry about going back to work if go on my lunch break.
Either way lots of wet wipes are a good idea. If you use a cologne you should lightly reapply it afterward. I also keep those Febreze to Go mini-bottles in my car to take smells off my cloths. If you have a habit of using Febreeze at your home it shouldn't smell to suspicious, also the smell doesn't tend to linger.
For you, I would just take a shower when I get home. I'm sure it isn't much of an excuse to take a shower being how hot and humid it is these days. Just say you feel sweaty. There are a million excuses.

If an hour is .8 for a massage, then
add .2 tip for massage or 25%, then
add .2 tip for HJ for 25%, or
add .4 tip for BJ for 50%, or
add .6 tip for 69 for 75% tip, or
add .8 tip for FS for 100%.
So the total outlay for 1hr/FS would be
.8 house fee plus
.2 (25%) tip for the massage plus
.8 (100%) tip for the FS
$.8 Total.
The percentages on the extras are pretty striking when you consider what other services expect for tips. Of course, you won't find many waitresses at Olive Garden offering to sit on the table for a DATY session between dinner and desert. But if you do, please report back here ASAP.

A 15-20% tip would be normal if all we were getting out of this place is just a massage, but we could go to the mall for that. We are obviously paying for 'other' services. For Nova, massage quality is more an emphasis then other areas, but we are after-all asking for services that come with a lot of inherit risks in many ways. We shouldn't think of it as percentages based off of 'house pay', since that's mostly for the MMS.

I am not sure we need another discussion on tipping. It is between you and the provider and what anyone else says here(they do not provide any service to you) is not important. Did anyone on this board put money IN your wallet? Then they should not be concerned with what comes OUT of it either.

Showed up no appt around 9pm, booked an hour, no problem.
I always show up fresh and showered, allowing extra massage time vs being washed. Just a personal pref. Good back and leg massage, provider name sounded like Nahmay, looks better in the dark, tad too much make up. But nice anyway.
Got right to it, flipped in 20 minutes, and surprise (no saddle) language lesson with outstanding Nova finish, along with some really inspiring talk.
Had time left and provider used every last minute to thoroughly take care of me. I did same. .75 for the excellent service and great attitude. Hugs and happy parties on the way out.
Best part, no $ hassles, did not even ask for the house fee. I had time to offer it. Overall: 8.5/10

Had another good time at my usual place on the way home from work. Went for the hour again, same girl as last time. Nice table shower.
On to the massage, it was decent enough, then the lights went down a little lower, music turned up a little louder, and the touching became lighter and more roaming. On to the flip; LFK, more roaming, and then she asked for tip upfront. This is the first time I've been asked for it up front. I can understand why, but it certainly can bring everything to a halt real quick.
Once that was taken care of, things progressed nicely. Clothes came off, lots of roaming, CBJ, and all was good. Finished up the remainder of the hour with some more massage.
The past two times I've been there, I've only heard the door bell once. This visit it went off three times. Guess everybody needs some stress relief on humpday.
Labor Day weekend traditionally marks the end of summer, so I decided a "farewell Summer" visit was in today's agenda.
I called NSP and made an appointment with Tina.
She again provided a great massage and I truly enjoyed my end of summer visit.
Visit was similar to many I've made before. Tina is a great lady. Be nice to her and all the ladies!

Maybe she liked your looks or thought you were hot. Who knows? My experiences there, in the short time this place has been open, is that the therapists all give varying degrees of a good massage (no bad ones so far) and the place operates like a typical NoVa establishment. Can't imagine that MMS would condone this as standard (or even occasional) practice. So, enjoy the extra level of service when it happens. And, always treat the therapists nicely.

Thanks to Alpha D. He have me some tips with this one massage therapist in Fairfax, near Fairfax Hospital. You guys probably know who it is. Anyhow, I had a wonderful experience with her. At the end of the session, she smiled and said "Happy Friday" to me... "YES", I responded.
Alpha D, I agree with you, she is the sweetest provider ever. That's was the best experience overall for me. Whoever see her, please be nice. I want to see her again and have another "Happy Friday" next time when I am in town.

Saw an old provider from another place, had a great time, name was Sunni, DATY, BBBJ, etc
I visited a local NoVA AMP (made possible by the Labor Day holiday).
I've patronized this location several times, so I was surprised to learn today they open at 9 (I incorrectly thought all AMPs opened at 10. Don't know why I thought that).
Parking lot empty (except for the largest pick-up truck I've ever seen. And, based on the closed door to studio-1, I think the owner/driver was also enjoying a massage this morning).
I called ahead for a 10:00 am appointment. And was sad when told my ATF was "on vacation". But, MMS encouraged me to visit anyway. So, I did.
Today I met a wonderful and skilled massage therapist named Uyong. She is perfectly proportioned and slightly taller than 5 feet. She has medium-long very black, shiny hair. Her dark eyes can take your breath away, and she has a beautiful face. She is also one of the funniest, easiest to talk with ladies I've met at an AMP.
Off to the TS. And, WOW. 15 minutes of deep massage on my back and legs as well as a thorough soapy wash.
Back to the room for a great medium massage, and exceptional conversation filled with smiles and laughs.
This was a great holiday Monday visit for me....but I am concerned the ladies seem to work every day. Perhaps next time, I'll provide the TS and massage.

Just a name change or a mgmt change?
Although I've been to this place a few times, I realized I hadn't yet posted a review of this fairly new facility. So, in the interests of the readership and expanding the knowledge base, the following are my findings regarding MWC (which has been advertising lately on BP).
I arrivied at a time when it was not likely to be busy and, as expected, I was one of only two customers at the time. Parking was not a problem, but the lot was one of those where one might want to be alert during the evening hours. Not to say the place is located in a high-crime area; it's not. But, the area could be a target for unsavory types, if they so decided. Just be watchful coming and going.
I rang the doorbell and, unlike some AMPs, the person who would ultimately be my therapist for this visit weas the one to answer the door. That seems to be the general pattern here (although on one occasion the manager did answer the door), but this might just be a function of the times I choose to visit. She led me to the room and asked whether I wanted an hour ($80) or half-hour ($50). I opted for the hour, gave her the entrance fee, and got comfortable while she disappeared for a couple minutes. I noticed, as we were going to the room, that [u]the licenses, with current dates, for all of the therapists were displayed prominently in the hallway. [/u]
When my therapist returned, she asked if I wanted a shower ("Yes") and then led me to the TS, which was clean and modern (new tiling, table, and fixtures, with no hint of any mildew or lime scaling).
The TS itself was good, although the water was just slightly hotter than I prefer (but not scalding, by any means), and lasted for about 10 minutes from beginning to end. While applying soap, she massaged it in good and slow to build a lather, which was a nice touch. Otherwise, the TS was about what one would expect at a decent establishment.
After drying off, I returned to the room with her, and she asked what type of rubdown I wanted. Usually after a workout, I prefer a harder rub, but this time I chose a medium-soft touch. (Afterwards, I thought that I should have chosen the harder massage, as the muscles probably needed more pressure, but that isn't the fault of the therapist.)
Ovreall, the entire session was relaxing and satisfying. My only regret was that I noticed, only after the session was concluded, that they had a "back walking bar" in the room. If I'd seen that to begin with, I [u]might[/u] have asked for that instead. However, the therapist did not have the frame and build of a waif, so perhaps it was better [b]NOT[/b] to get a back-walk this time. Maybe next time, with a different therapist.

As is often the case after I workout at my company's fitness room, I swung by ATMB for a post-gym bodywork. It had been a couple months since my last visit, so it seemed a good time to check up on it again. (I've noticed that they've been advertising on BP lately, which is something new for this establishment, but didn't expect anything much out of the ordinary.) It's still in the same location and, upon entering, still had the same layout as usual but with a few minor cosmetic improvements to the foyer.
The manager met me in the reception area (foyer) when I entered and asked how long I wanted to stay. I said one hour, and she took me to one of the rooms. This manager was not Angie, as on previous occasions. When I asked the manager if Angie was there, she said "No, Angie is gone back home. " It turned out, the place was apparently sold to a new owner recently but has retained the same name.
Entrance fee ($80) paid, and the manager tells me to get comfortable. In a couple minutes, a therapist ("Bibi") enters and asks if I want a shower. This was new, since I had never had that option before. Curious, I say "Yes, " and she takes me to a room where there is a newish shower stall. Bibi hands me a washcloth and liquid soap and tells me she will retun when I; m finished. The stall was generally clean and new, roomy enough to maneuver around in, but otherwise unremarkable. I lingered there for about 5 minutes, since I had just come from the company gym, and then exited and dried myself off. A few moments later, Bibi knocked at the door to see if I was ready to return to the room.
Back in the room, she had me lay down on the (new?) table and asks how I want the rubdown. Soft, medium, or hard. I opt for medium-hard and, seeing the back-walk bar, ask for that as well.
As in all my visits, the session was good. In fact, this session was very good from the standpoint of the bodywork, which is a hallmark of the therapists at this place. They seem to know how the muscle groups work and the direction andf manner in which the muscles ought to be worked (rather than simply pressing on or randomly rubbing the muscles).
I departed after the full hour, relaxed and satisfied. Like each time before. Although the ownership has changed and Angie is no longer there, I plan to return again to this place whenever I need the bodywork after the gym.

so far for a long time nobody is using this "AMP" forum for its purpose. No more sharing info, experience, recomendations. Only useless and boring talk about tips and other crap. Then one of us decide to share his experience with independent provider and perhaps because he forgot to share juicy details you all go after him like he committed a terrible crime posting here. I have been around the NOVA area and using the forum but have not been anywhere that was not already well reviewed. However, earlier this week I decided to venture out and try something new that I had not seen reviewed before. I searched both CL and BP and found a well fortified place a little south of the Beltway. I called to confirm they were open and was told they had availability and that I could come over. The location is in an industrial area with multiple parking lots. Since it was not a usual business hour most of the lots were empty. I chose to park across a small street where a few other cars were parked near one of the other businesses. The glass door leading to the staircase of the 2nd floor parlor unlocked so I entered and walked up the stairs. As I got to the top of the stairs I heard the door unlock and it was opened by the mammasan who greeted me nicely. The entrance area is very nice and clean. They have a counter and several CC TVs overlooking the parking lot below. She asked if I was the one who had called as she led me to a room. Once there she collected the normal fee and told me she would send in a girl and to get comfortable. The room was very clean, had a hot towel warmer on a table and one of the large massage tables. A chair for changing and a hook on the wall with a clothes hanger. In a couple of minutes Joey, the girl, came in. She was fairly typical of other NOVA girls but maybe a tad older 45-50 I would guess. She greeted me with a smile and asked if I wanted a shower and I agreed. She led me down a hall with a couch to the shower room. It was clean and typical. The shower was OK but no attention was paid to my sensitive areas. Once the shower was complete I was taken to a sauna. After a few minutes Joey came back and as I laid on the bench in the sauna she sat down and took my feet and gave them a massage there. She then took me back to the room. I removed my towel and laid down on the table. Joey took a clean towel and draped it over me and began her work. The massage was not very good or deep. As she move to the head of the table I reached up and began some light roaming as I asked "Is this Ok? " which was replied to with some laughing and a playful thump on the head. On the flip I removed the towel and Joey held out her hand and told me to put it where I wanted her to massage. The finish was standard NOVA. She cleaned me up with a hot towel from the warmer and I dressed and was on my way. The standard tip was left which was not counted as I handed it to her. I got a hug on the way out and proceeded out the door and down the stairs. As I exited out the door to the parking lot I noticed a FC police cruiser sitting in a parking lot across the street watching the place. I walked to my car and left. I then called back to the parlor to let them know who was watching, if they did not already know. Overall I not thrilled with this place. I have seen younger therapists who are better at their trade than I got here but by far not a bad experience.

It's been a while since I've been to Best. When I read the report from Lovejugs on 8-27-10, I decided to go and see if I couldn't get a really good performance out of Sunny.
I couldn't help but notice that they've re-done the place. The carpets are the same, but everything else is new. New furniture, new tables, new pads, new towels (really nice new towels), new sheets, new everything. Sunny answered the door and took me to the back. She's about 50 years old, I reckon, but very quickly I didn't care. She's spectacular.
I've been doing this going on 15 years or somesuch, and she's one of the best I've ever been with. She just knows how to touch a man. And as Lovejugs wrote, she really knows how to finish a man.
Walk in, be respectful, smile, put your money under your cell phone in plain sight so she knows what to expect from you, lie back, and enjoy the experience.
