I have one that is "out of the business" now (except for a few guys she still sees) and has her own personal life, but at time shares info with me and makes subtle requests for favors. Its easy to fall into the trap when intimate emotions are in play. I can see how it would be easy to let your guard down and make mistakes in these situations.

Many people b**ch and moan and actually very few do vote. I know all of this from my community service when I lived in the west loop. The opposition is very organized and they spend years cultivating their voters. I mean let's face it this is a one sided state. What happens in chi happens for the state. Personally I am in a little pocket of deep conservatism and the few activists and progressives that have tried to infiltrate were voted down and never came back. My motto is if you don't vote I won't listen to your moaning and groaning about results. It's getting better, however we have to make a bigger push in 2024. The time to start is now. I study candidates, I look into backgrounds and when I vote I have my cheat sheet with me and I spend time in that booth. Also imo we have to come up with more presentable people to run against some of the clowns in office. You can't have a mope run against some razzle dazzle candidate who looks like they came off of a hollywood movie set. People listen with their eyes! Oldman stosh. Out. Peace.

Good old what's his name lupe on the republican side. When I printed out my cheat sheet the lib party candidate was left off or tbd at the time. Problem is uncle tom is pushing all the right buttons with the libs. All in the name of human trafficking! Those two dreaded words! Also as goes the city goes the state and the county of course imo. Even our beloved governor has said that and this is a loose quote "maga right wingers will not get one inch of illinois" huh? Many people and I am one did not vote for him and never will! Again pandering to the fears of the public. Plus as mentioned here not enough people on the other side of the fence get out to vote!! It just is. Saw it first hand in the rahm election when I lived down there. Plus they will back and pay for some spoilers to spread those votes out. Enough sorry if I have offended some of us. Once again the hobby will be under the eye of uncle thomas! P.S. Case in point I live in a 6 unit building near the big airport. Out of I want to say 10 eligible voters I voted and possibly 1 other. Just is. People are complacent and the other side counts on that!

Guys, this thing of ours is not legal. Rather than pearl clutching about Ds or Rs who may or may not enforce, focus on what political ideology would be open to decriminalization. That's not the role of a sheriff. It's the role of lawmakers. And you'll certainly get no sympathy from conservative lawmakers. It's the liberals who are sympathetic. Look deeper. Because conservative Ds certainly abound.
