If you have one of the newer iphones, what I'd recommend you spend your money on is a tripod and lighting to improve the quality of the video. A tripod to better place the angle and a separate light source (and not the dim lamps in most incalls) will make a big difference. Especially the lights. Good luck and share with us what set up works and doesn't. I've gone through several different tripods until found one I like so there's always some trial and error involved.
