Re: phone. While I agree text app is best for privacy, it can be trouble for 2 reasons-1) it is a really bad service. If you think comms are bad with providers who fall asleep, can't find their phone charger, text app on their end, try it on both ends. Regarding that phone search-just do not use your phone number for ANY social media. Use an email acct. And beside, most these people can't get credit cards, so I doubt they'd go through the trouble to pay for what is likely bogus info on your phone #.

It was not bogus info on my number. My name, past 3 addresses, at least 3 relative and my wife’s name listed as associated, and 3 of her addresses, my landline and two old landlines. With all that a thug could use it to blackmail me. The one funny thing is it showed only one email address and that was the very first website based email address I created over 25 years ago and haven’t looked at in at 10 yrs. I’d forgotten about it.
