Hey yall, I have been interested in this ad for a minute now, but I have my doubts on the reality of it. She popped up maybe a month ago and did some research and found a broken OF linked account and a public instagram account. The ad history shows traveling across the state. In coms, it was pretty basic and to the point with good / regular pricing for today's money, but she would not commit to my level of screening, so I did not continue.

Would love to know if anyone else has tried or had better luck than I. Thanks in advance!

She has a Snapchat, why not make a bogus one and see if she can do a quick video call verification. Prove to her you're a legit restaurant critic and send picture of eggplant. Then jump on a. Video call. From my years of restaurant critic experience, these either legit, waitress looks similar to pictures, or a completely different woman all together who's not attractive. 50/50 I would say. See about the menu items and ask for extreme exotic dishes. If they have limited menu then that tells you at least it's not a pork shop. So at the minimum you're just will be baited with an unattractive waitress that's 50 years old and fat.

They're not using pictures that look like models, porn stars, or only fans girl. .like the McCoy Dominican restaurants use. I believe I reached out and greek was not on menu or greek steaks was way out of market price.

Restaurant critics have to look out for each other. I remember when I first starting being a restaurant critic and it was shooting in the dark on which restaurant was legit. Is it only pork chops, rip off restaurant, or worse. I've never new about this site until like this year. I had to rely on CE and EB for free reviews. Them, PFour, etc you had to like pay or couldn't figure how to access reviews. EB reviews and comments aren't reliable and can't tell if someone is a reputable critic. Also EB started deleting comments and reviews. Likely because they were paid off by the restaurants. They even remove accounts from restaurant critics.

I've learned a lot riding solo but had two unfortunate experiences where I showed up a restaurant like a rookie and came face to face with the waitress's senior staff who took my cash and kicked me out of the restaurant without being served. Still a rookie and hunger struck again. Took some precautions. This time I video verify with waitress. Red flag was it was a wide open menu for not much. Still went through with it despite no restaurant reviews. I paid for the meal first before it was served at my table. Waitress kept staking until I hear a knock at the door. This time I figured ok I see. So I immediately ran to the door open and pushed the guy out the way and walked out restaurant as fast as I could. Still paid for the meal and didn't get to eat. I reviewed those experience here I believe and for sure on CE.

So anything I can do to make the restaurant experience better for others and keeping fellow critics safe makes me feel good. Also informing fellow critics of good restaurants to go to. I know there's a few on this review site that won't share their favorite restaurants and only use the site for their own benefit (reading reviews, posting questions, etc). They take but don't give. They way I see it, if you really think you're the only customer at your favorite restaurant then you're dumb. Restaurants may say customer first but they are really company first. So sharing good reviews is the best way because it motivates others to share their favorites too. This is in turn keeps these restaurants in Orlando. Sometimes if restaurants aren't getting good business they will leave town. We hate when good restaurants leave town don't we?

Since you're on this subject, I have a question. As I'm not too sure how phones time zones work. I thought they automatically updated to the current time zone. When I'm looking for more information on the restaurant and the date is correct, but the time is an hour or two ahead, is that a possible scam, or just a non updated phone? If this is not an acceptable place to ask, please give a little leeway. TIA for the help.

It's possible that can happen but I usually use snapchat to verify where if they take a screenshot snapchat tells you. As far as FaceTime or duo. Remember the video verify goes for both ways. I'm sure the providers have their fears of being screenshotted or recorded too. So they wouldn't know if I'm doing screenshots also so last thing they would want is to blast you because then that exposes themselves too or their handlers and they definitely don't want that. I'm more afraid of the ones that don't want to verify. If you want to go down a rabbit hole. Who's to say they aren't recording you while you're in the room to protect themselves? We can create these scenarios all day but truthfully video verify never backfired on me. But when I was new. Using my personal phone number was a big problem more than video verify.
