My guess would be that your tip (along with the half hour door fee) determined the level of service you received. The folks at MT have a different view as to what a "standard NOVA tip" should be.

Too many near-by options available for us to have to haggle like a used car salesman for what is supposed to be an "illusion of intimacy" IMO.

My question is why did you go to MT for "Standard NOVA"?, This place is FS all the way. Known for it and not the massage. If you want a "Standard Nova" there are far more places to go to where you will get a quality massage, typically(exceptions are always found but) great massages are NOT delivered at spas providing FS menu options from all of the providers.

Bottom line if you want a decent massage and ONLY a "Standard Nova" finish, MT is NOT the place to go.

I am just saying, I walk into these places prepared to tip a standard rate for any one of 3 services. Maybe an additional tip at the end if the service merits. My experience with MT is that they require your tip up front and the request will likely be for an amount that is higher than standard. Sure, everything is negotiable, but its still a buzz kill.

Aroma has been closed for some time due to Loudoun county LE activities, looks like grand re-opening according to CL.

I know this is not entirely massage but I have to say, Chona Lin gives a superior massage. Booked 2 hours and I think 90 mins of it was head to toe bliss. Started off with mutual shower, light massage and chit chat and I said I liked a hard massage and she gave it to me. It was the best I had in a long time. Needless to say the last 30 minutes was what you would expect and also wonderful. I felt like I was high from being so relaxed from the massage. Give it a go if you are looking for a really great relaxation/therapeutic session. I don't think she offers just a massage rate but she really could. Sometimes that is what I am really after and so many times I am disappointed with the lame attempts at a decent massage.

Get from the sucker what you can shake them down.

I basically do the same thing but since MT women want to know what extras you're there for from the gitgo, we mongers have no choice but to pay for everything upfront. The woman I saw wanted $140+ for FS, but I said all I had was $120 and she could take it or leave it.

Absolutely. I have my rate and am always prepared to walk if I don't think the woman is worth it. Too many guys go mongering without a backup plan, meaning if the quoted price is too high, they reluctantly stay. I do that once in a while if I'm in a time crunch but I try to allot plenty of time for mongering so I can get what I want.

They have a right to connive/hustle what they can but it is our obligation to stick to our guns as to not jack up the TIP for less of a service. If it is exceptional serve go for it; the sky is the limit but before you judge exception, journey outside the NOVA area to Dominican Republic, Thailand or Aruba and see what that TIP will get you there.

Take in only the amount you intend to spend. Personally, I never take in more than the hour fee plus $100. On those occasions when I did take in more than that the little head took over and I almost emptied my wallet.

So, if you have money to burn go ahead and give these women big tips but do not try to convince me that is the normal or correct way to go.

I am not looking to start another pissing contest about tips and such. This is my own opinion and no one here is capable of changing my mind.

Having been to the DR and El Salvador, yes you can get a lot of "service" for little money. However the reality is the cost of living is drastically different in the states.

As you have been there you know you can live happily or even better for a month for what you would spend in only 1 week in the US.

So it is not truly a fair comparison.

I have been to about a dozen spas around LA, not younger, some more better looking some not. $ for FS is what is common most everywhere including here. No difference.

Made my way for the first time to a different establishment off Backlick. Way at the back of the office complex. Saw another older monger at another location on the way in (Backlick Therapy?).

The old tall MMS answered the door and took me to the room on the back right. Which was nice because I passed the shower room so new how to act like I'd been before. In walked the therapist and asked for the payment (not the MMS). She was slightly stocky, nice bolt ons, dark straight hair to her shoulders. Pretty typical NOVA AMP age...

In the shower, everything was well washed, including a lot of time with the less clean parts of my body... Not particularly sensual, but not a bad shower. Back to the room. Towel on top, pretty strong massage, not "smooth" lots of hard rubbing. I like a deep "sports" massage, this type wasn't my cup of tea. Then she realized how quiet it was and yelled at the OMA - voila - music began. Before long, the towel was on the floor and she did some of the usual tricks. I would say it was an above average NOVA finish, and likely more could be had. May repeat just to see, but may not due to her massage style. Name was Yo-Yo.

btw - I was a long time LA regular. Back in the 90's there were often younger choices than here, but it still took effort to find your choice options. But when I moved here and was a regular at Downtown, prices were pretty much equal as was quality. (unlike NOVA).

For the cost of a good vacation you can enjoy more for less and see a different word.

Cost of living is higher but the difference in service does not make up for COST OF LIVING. For your explanation this would explain why they should provide better service.

Here, it seems as if they are working for the one time visitor (not repeat business) while in those other locations they seem to want you to stay forever even though they know you are leaving.

Got caught in the rain and decided to GG up again. Provider is Sarah but the other girls still there. NANA showered me up and put me in the sauna. Sarah a but older but nice looking and hot bod. she is light on my back as she walks on it. cracked all the bones that needed cracking.

At the end I think she starting rushing. door bell rang a few times and maybe one of her appointments showed up. i got a rushed quick flip. standard tip and was in/ out 45 minutes.

Stopped into G today for a 1/2 to check things out and mama was decent looking but sent in an older unit. Great massage but not even a standard Nova finish, when asked she said no. LE actively bothering the Nova sites, Herdon, Dulles, Sterling area. So I think it is to be expected that the menu for services will not open on the 1st visit to a new spa.

I have heard from others on other boards standard NOVA is available at one of these places(I will not say which) after repeat visits.

Understand it may take even a 3rd visit for some especially if you keep changing girls.

Hit the Warrenton amp yesterday and honestly wasn't quite sure what to expect. Rang the doorbell and greeted by a 30 something korean spinner with snaggle teeth. Then another 30 something korean grabbed me and took me back to the room. She told me it would be about 15 minutes.
She came back and it was the 2nd chick. About 5'4 and nice natural large c's. Got a table shower, very nice. all spots hit.
Back to the room and had one of the best massages at an amp I've ever had. on the flip got to nova finish with plenty of roaming allowed, but she wasnt finished. Still got another 20 minutes of time out of her.

It had been too long since my last visit to my ATF place. Went by this week and had a great visit with Yoko at O*****.

She answered the phone and the door when I arrived – no other clients, but two ladies in their front room.

She escorted me to studio 6 at the end of the hall and collected the hours 0.8.
Yoko is very friendly, chatty, and truly a nice west-coast lady. She is a very typically pretty K-girl – but her hair is wavy hair (and long!), slender (100 pounds), very slender arms and legs, and happy eyes that smile when she does (which is frequently).

All aspects were “standard” for a visit here. Yoko’s attention to making my visit pleasant makes her a provider of distinction (at least in my book).

It was my birthday this week.

Based on my experience, allow me to recommend:

1. Make an appointment at your ATF or current favorite AMP as a birthday present you give yourself

2. Take a "present" for MMS and the staff (for my birthday this week, I took a case of fruit + some fancy chocolates)

3. Schedule your appointment and arrive at a less-than-usual busy time. A quiet afternoon (or late morning) allows the celebration to go longer.

4. Give the "presents" to MMS. Be sure she knows they are for everyone, and say "it's my birthday, but I brought presents for all of you just to say thanks! "

5. Accept their "thank you for the fruit" compliments (and a kiss on the cheek from MMS) for your good natured generosity.

Once upstairs in the room, undress and relax by

6. Enjoying an extra-long TS with your favorite MT (or your new friend – but if someone new let MMS decide because it is likely MMS will make sure your new friend knows you are a good friend of the business). If you really enjoy a TS like I do, anticipate the extra soapy massage. And the hair wash. And the toe-nail clipping and other personal grooming services (score TS this visit as a 10/10)

7. Enjoy the sauna if you like.

8. Really relax during an excellent massage. Medium to deep. Relax. If the visit has been good so far, no need to press or hurry or worry, everything is going to be great! (score this really great massage 10/10 especially fine as the knots in my shoulders were eliminated with strong thumbs and elbows)

9. Be friendly and answer any questions honestly (if you don't usually, this is a chance to actually say what you want). If your MT already knows what you want (because you have been a good and generous client for many visits in the past) then you don't need to vocalize anything (other than perhaps a very satisfied, deep MMMMMMMMMMMM. SCORE: for this visit. 10/10

10. When you hear others come and go, relax more – they are likely on a schedule – they don't understand that a scheduled one-hour visit is much better than their 30-minute experience (I've tried the 30 minute visits – they pale in comparison). Because, on your birthday you have extra time. It is likely you will be allowed to enjoy more and longer than a usual visit (but, this is likely to be true only if you are a known "regular"). This visit was 80+minutes from arriving to leaving. Score the time I was given a 10/10

11. Even though you brought "gifts for all, " be extra generous to your MT. It is likely you will not know her birthday. So, give her an extra birthday-present on-top-of-your-standard NoVA tip. This is good manners and an excellent way to "be nice to the ladies. " (It is standard practice to tip your barber or other stylist 100% of the visit cost for Christmas or their birthday. Once a year, this is not a bad level of generosity for your ATF MT (who probably gets a lot closer to you than your barber!))

Lots of hugs. Smiles. And even a cute rendition of Happy Birthday in sing-song Korean.

I expect next visit will be more like a usual visit (which means a fully enjoyable time) at ***. But today, was extra special. 10+/10

Post-Script: I don't usually indulge in this hobby twice in the same week. But this week, well, it was my birthday. I visited two different places where I am a known good customer. I had two different but nice experiences at each. Happy Birthday to all! Thank you to both MMS and all the ladies. Be nice to them --- they make all our visits celebrations.

Went again to my fave place. Last time was so-so but this week. WOW. Angie is amazing. Soapy TS that was non rushed and really hit the spot. Quick sauna and then the massage was just as I want it. MMS talked to her so she knows my preferences. Tipped a bit more but worth it.


Some enjoy the chase. I enjoy knowing quality. No extra funds to be exploring. lol.

G accupressure is legit. It is unfortunate that at one point they thought it was a good idea to advertise in the Washington Post. It is also unfortunate that others have posted their number on this site, as though it was a place where someone could go and get more than a massage. All reports on this site point to it being legit if anyone would bother to Read The Fucking Forum . It is a very nice massage though.

When in Herndon avoid Herndon Therapy like the plague. You could do better at almost any other place in the Greater DC area.

Visited saturday morning.

Goods : new facility, big shower room, big rooms, .7 for hour.
Odds : second floor, and no stairwell - only very slooowww elevator. Could imagine how it is to go to second floor in the same cabin with someboty else. TS made like shalow bathtub, with rubber mat inside, that is not very hyhyenical - because of mat has waffle like surface, and ... there should be dirt deposits from other mongers.

Met Cindy - 3XX chinese girl. Little extra on heaps and belly, heavily drapped, nice face and nice Bs.

Timeline: fast mediocre TS, very good hard massage, standard finish - exactly one hour.

Roaming was allowed on final stage, but it was very hard to impelment, because of her heavy drappery. Get off top/pants - No-no! Promiced better service on next time. There were many smal turn-offs, like: asked her to put fresh towel under my face in TS; after finish, she get out and returned with wet towel, sweeped my belly, and tried to sweep my face with the same towel after, etc.

Damage: .7 fee + .4 tip

Do not think that will return. Too far, and service is not best.

Ran out to Peach Therapy Saturday during the lunch hour. Had wanted to visit for some time, finally had some free time and wanted to try somewhere new as I am wont to do.

Greeted by Yoyo (sp?) at the door.

Yoyo was probably 5'2" or so, very pretty in the face, golden skin, and a FANTASTIC body. Not very chatty, but still very personable in a quiet way.

Great TS. Massage was good. Yoyo had an interesting massage style but it was effective. The finish was standard, but great!

When I visit AMPs, I do not look for "FS" nor do I want "FS." However, if it had been offered, and it wasn't, I certainly would have accepted that offer with very little reluctance.

Would I go back? Definitely. I still have my favorite places where I am a regular, but I certainly would like to go back and see the beautiful Yoyo again...

I've tried a number of times to get an appointment and succeeded only once, but then she cancelled. She's in the Riverside apartments on Huntinton Ave. When you try to get to the gate, the guard will take your drivers license and record the info, then call her, so aliases might cause some confusion (What, your name isn't Yakblat!?). She gives a phone number in her ad, but hasn't returned a call yet. She will reply to email from the reply button on her backpage ad, but she doesn't seem to have many openings available. A few months ago The Nub had reported there might be Latinas working the location in Falls Church. We discussed over PM and I agreed to check it out for him but for numerous reasons never made it there until now.

In short, waste of time. The place is located in a building with a Panera so I took a lap around and found an entrance to go up the stairs. Greeted by a thin older Asian (Chinese maybe? Didn't look Korean) named Linda. First thing I notice is that they have a counter and look far more legitimate than any place I'd been before. Secondly, Linda introduces herself and shakes my hand. I ask if anyone else is working, she doesn't understand. I don't see or hear any traces of other people.

Her English is very dodgy, difficult to understand. Asks if I've been here before, I say no because I'm a lousy liar and have never had a failure simply from being honest. Tell her I've been to lots of other spas, name some AMPs and she says she knows what I'm talking about. Slightly more promising.

The massage is actually pretty good overall. If only there were happiness to be found at the end. I kept moving aside the wash cloth and eventually I told her I was "too hot" and discarded it entirely. She got close to the package a few times and I assured her it was OK, felt good, but she never went any further.

She finished up and said all done, I told her she missed a spot. I motioned and she shook her head and said "no, no, not here." I nodded and apologized. Tipped her .15 for the massage which she was very happy with. Maybe she was just being overly cautious but this place seems way too legitimate for my tastes and I saw no sign of the Latinas. As always, YMMV.

Unrequited, I headed over to Papaya to set things straight. I was displeased to get June - a short Asian with a fair amount of chunk to her. Very good attitude though and she asked me to massage her which lead to quite a bit more than the normal menu. I probably could've had more (FS) but honestly I wasn't that into it. She also kept coughing and sounded "phlegmy." I assumed it was from smoking but this morning I woke up with a sore throat so she may have been sick. Good service, just wish it was with any of the prettier girls I'd visited there lately. Tipped .80 for effort anyway since it was above normal and because I like the place.
