I read the Dallas forum under Massage Parlor Reports and learned enough to make an informed decision, but I thought I'd put a post on the Dallas forum the day before to see if anyone might offer some last minute useful intel. Not only did I NOT get any response prior to my Friday visit to Blue Angels, my post is still the most recent post on the Dallas forum FOUR DAYS later! Now Dallas is a much larger city that Cincy, but our site is far more active and I am sure I would have gotten either a PM or a post in answer to my query within 24 hours had I posted on our forum.

The problem isn't that the Dallas folks are stingy with their intel, it's just that they are sharing it on a site other than this one. I had the flip side problem when I moved up here from TX. I was posting on Cinci topics to the site that I used to post to down in TX and getting no / few responses. That's when I started looking for alternative sites and encountered this one.

Perhaps I'm just slow to the party on this one. I have been "complaining" that the formatting toolbar in the "Quick Reply PM" was not everywhere. It takes time to bold, italicize, or underline text in these posts by manually typing the [b] [i] [u] tags around the text. I thought the formatting bar would be very helpful.

Well through the serendipity of an accidental keyboard entry, I discovered that if you press control+b, control+i, or control+u (presumably command+b, command+i, or command+u on a Mac) that the appropriate tags are inserted and your cursor is automatically placed between the [b] [i] or [u] tags. Also, if you have text selected, and press the appropriate keys the selected text will be surrounded by the tags. There may be other keyboard combinations that are helpful, so keep your eyes open.

Now, this may have ALWAYS been there, it may be new with the recent upgrade. Regardless, I'm pretty sure it is undocumented to the best of my knowledge. Hope this helps everyone who likes to embellish or emphasize their posts.

FYI, this was posted on Firefox on a PC. I have not tested Internet Destroyer, Safari, or those browsers on my Mac. So YMMV.

P. S. I'll edit this after it reaches the board to "fix" the "automatic text cleanup" corrections (changing "control+u" into "control+you", capitalizing words after brackets, deleting closing parentheses that are right before punctuation marks, etc.). Hope it is clear enough in the meantime.

I rarely ever go to backpage anymore due to the closeure of C/L. All the scammers for the most part have migrated to here. But I wanted to check the menus. But I found it interesting when clicking on the home page that:

Women men (under review)

No strings attached (under review)

Missed connect (under review)

Adult jobs (images under review)

Sounds like they are under scrutiny by the LE as well. This is going to mean that many more scammers will be flocking to the "Escort section of B/P. I did notice a few that were legit, but just be EXTREMELY carefully when sampling from this site! Use all the tools you may know to cross check the gals. Otherwise, you will be posting on the "Rip-off" thread and out of your hard earned money!

My advice is to save your time and stay on the more quality and proven sites!

When you find some, do a forum search for reviews, check reviews on e. Com, then google search and yahoo search until you're confident enough to call. When you do finally call, use a [I]hobby phone[/I]. In case you don't know what a hobby phone is, it is a cheap prepaid phone that you use for the hobby. Paying cash for your minutes prevents any personal information from being associated with that phone number.

If you do all of this, then you're no longer "[I]randomly[/I]" calling because you've done your research and are confident in your call that is placed on a phone that has no connection to you. But just because you are confident does not mean you shouldn't still be cautious.

I don't know if you are new to the hobby or not, but [B][I]well said[/I][/B]. It's refreshing to see a new member helping someone out. It's even more refreshing seeing a new member that either knows what they are doing or has read the forum enough to reply to someone intelligently. Good solid help there. There are some other things to do / try, but you hit some good ones.

There has been a lot of "bashing" on here lately of [B][I]some [/I][/B]of the new members. I feel there should also be praises for the new members that show that they know what they are doing. I know this may belong in the Rant's and Raves thread, but I think it will be better served posted here with the associated report.

[U]I will also add to your advice[/U]. Be careful on BP. Since the closure of CL's adult section, BP [B][I]has been [/I][/B]flooded with a lot of scammers. E* dot com, indys, etc. Are probably a little safer. I repeat the "search here for reviews first" comment. And, if you can show that you have some basic understanding of what you are doing, you can PM a senior or trusted regular member and ask them for advice and help. I won't belabor the point regarding what "showing that you have some basic understanding" means. If you understand what I mean, you are probably already on the right track.

If this is common knowledge, I will try to delete. (I know some Sr's have mentioned using it) When doing searches on Google for info in BP ads, I noticed some ads would say no longer found. You notice some of the links in your Google search say "cached. " It means Googles saves a copy of the ad. Looks like this:

www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/show.asp?ID=*. Cached.

Just click on the word Cached.

I recently took a trip out of town and I had to rely on BP. Seemed like most of the young hotties had non local area codes. Then when they answer the phone they start talking the talk calling me honey, sweetie and babe over and over. That is so tiresome and a total turnoff to me. Then it turns out that none of them are ready to go right away. It's always a few hrs later or after 11pm. One lady agreed on a price and said she would be at my hotel in 20 minutes. She never showed and when I tried calling back her number she never answered.

As all of you know, the Cincinnati forum has turned to crap over the past month or so. "Newbie" bashing. Abusive language. Disrespecting each other. Disrespecting the Providers. Basically, treating each other like garbage.

In a recent discussion via PM with a member with whom I have had disagreements regarding their posts, I was asked if the advice I gave him applied to everyone. That started me thinking.

YES, the advice I am giving you applies to [b][i]EVERYONE[/i][/b].

New Members, Old Members. Young Persons, Old Persons. New to the Hobby, Old to the Hobby. Regular Members [b]and[/b] Seniors. Hobbyists and Providers. All of you and myself included. Frankly, even if you have not been directly involved or vocal in what has been going on, it includes you too!

I am asking [u]each and every one of you[/u] To join with me in an effort to return this forum to what it is meant to be. It has been said before, [b]we are all here for the same thing[/b]. The childish behavior exhibited by so many Members (both Regular and Senior) of this forum is disgraceful. We are all adults and we should be acting like it. This has degenerated to the point where there is almost no reason to even read this forum anymore.

I am calling for a Truce. A Cease Fire. An Amnesty. By [b][i]EVERYONE[/i][/b]

That means no more "bashing" by the Seniors of the "new" or "low report count" Members.

No tirades by the New Members about how the Seniors are acting "holier than thou"

No degradation, name calling, nastiness, or abusive language used against Regular Members, Senior Members, or Providers by ANYONE.

I am asking that you begin treating each other with courtesy and respect. Like civilized Human Beings.

If we do not join together and accomplish this goal as a unified community, we all might as well just never come back here. No matter what has been said, we all need each other on this forum. Seniors, Regular Members, Providers. If information and advice is not shared by ALL members, NO ONE will benefit.

Every time someone replies to a previous "inflamed" comment with another mocking or abusive comment, the turmoil escalates. Then there is yet another acerbic comment. And things escalate a little further.

Hear me when I shout, "IT HAS GONE TOO FAR AND GONE ON LONG ENOUGH". I'm not trying to preach at you or anything, because based on what has been posted by many of you, [u]I think you all already agree with me[/u]. If we as a group do not make a conscious effort to stop this, it will not happen and this insanity will perpetuate.

Does this mean that the "lazy" posts by Members (Senior or Regular) who just want to leech off the forum will stop?

Does this mean that everyone will contribute and be a productive Member (Senior or Regular) of the forum?

Does this mean that the "clueless" posts by Members (Senior or Regular) who don't know better will stop?

Unfortunately, the answer to these questions is "NO". If you look in ANY forum, you will see that this happens everywhere.

So what do we do? I propose that we don't just GIVE these members intel. We advise them of how to post, how to do the research themselves, and how to ask for help. [b]BUT, [/b] The important part is that we don't just "bash" them or deride them in the open forum or reply with "RTFF". That only leads to where we are today.

Old adage: "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he can feed himself for a lifetime"

If we just [b][i]give[/i][/b] These members intel, they will not learn. Teach each other instead. Help every member to become a productive member of the forum. Some might want choose to ignore the "ignorant newcomers", hoping they will just go away. Some may, but ignoring them will not solve the problem. There will always be another new member who needs guidance.

I am willing to write a set of guidelines that could be offered to those who are willing to learn and accept the guidance of those who have come before. I would welcome the input of [b][i]anyone[/i][/b] (Senior, Regular, Provider, old or new) who would like to collaborate with me on that endeavor.

I understand that many of the current group of seniors are tired of trying. I truly understand that and the frustration that they are feeling. If they want to step back, feeling that they have already done enough, I accept that. I hope that some of the seniors will continue to help or come back to help. They really DO have a lot of experience to share with the newer members of this forum and and new members of this hobby. I have learned much from them. Regardless, a new group must always step up to take leadership at some point. Which is as it should be. The student becomes the master.

I know egos have been bruised. Sensibilities have been shattered. Mob behavior has taken over. I am asking you all to put it aside and try to work together once again.

I believe I already have the support of a few of the Seniors and some of the Regular Members, notably Nkykinkyguy and CooperLamar. I believe they have both agreed to set aside their personal "feud" that has raged the Escorts Reports thread for several days now. I hope that both of them will vocally support my idea of reunification for the Cincinnati Forum. As I hope others will too.

I will leave you with a couple of last thoughts on how to accomplish some of this. It is not all inclusive, but it is a basic start.

[u]THINK before you post[/u].

1) If what you want to say is personal or directed to one person, send it via PM. Not the open forum.

2) If you disagree with something that someone posted, send it via PM. Not the open forum. Have an open discussion with them. Not an argument. Give them a chance to explain, maybe you misunderstood. Maybe if you express your point of view, they might agree with you and revise their post. Remember, not everyone agrees with each other. Be prepared to let it be.

3) If what you want to say benefits multiple people or the whole forum. Post an open report.

I believe using PM's effectively is probably the single most important thing that could be done to cut out all of this crap.

[b][i]More importantly, [/i][/b] Express yourself with tact and respect. Do not use abusive language or name calling. Be articulate and reasonable. I am willing to state unequivocally that if you approach another person with respect and grace, they will respond likewise.
