It's just for checking profiles that my main acct is showing as blocked. It looks like it isn't forcing me to make a selfie with that one, perhaps because the account has existed since 2019.

Anyway this is frustrating and I truly hate the people who run Seeking. They are such f**king a$$holes, as we all know. I really need to try some of their competition and this could prompt me to do so. I still have my old acct and hopefully I can renew it, if I have to, but more difficult to find a prepaid credit card that works too, so who know.[/QUOTE]I tend to not completely delete thankfully, I usually just cancel for a while and renew when I get the urge. If my account is ever deleted though I won't be joining again if I have to take a selfie. The less identifying info the better because it's only a matter of time one of these sites has another data breach like AM did. I don't use real photos ever, no real CC info, and only hand out fake text app numbers when I talk to girls there.

Well I'm going to do some tests and figure out how difficult it is to pass this selfie test. You don't even need to have a profile pic uploaded, if you subscribe, so it's not like the selfie is even going to be checked against that. Maybe can just show it a picture of anyone and would pass.

I doubt it is that easy, but I will play around with it and report back.

It's just not worth the risk of 18 years of child support, even if she is trying to scam you.

And if she gets an actual abortion, then the scam could only go so far, because she really pregnant (by someone). And if you banged her and she is pregnant, then certainly could be yours. So yeah, I would not run and hide from that and would just try to get it taken care of, asap.

So I'm thinking if you are just opening a account its a must if you have a old account its optional.

I tried to see if I could just use some photos online to pass the selfie verification but after a few attempts, it failed and locked the account.

Use your real photo to find pix online that look a lot like you, but aren't. Search for them w / tineye and the face rec software to be certain they don't show you as someone pulling pics off the web for this purpose.

Basically if you try it on the computer it makes you scan a QR code to open the app in your phone to allow camera access for a selfie. So you can't get around it having to be a selfie. Tried using a filtered pic that looks similar to me and it failed too, and it's a pic that previously had passed on my old SA account that I'd used as a profile pic. It was basically as you said, found a pic that looks like me using a real pic and it's some random guy but the AI can tell it's not an actual selfie. This is unfortunate.

Edit to add - if you try to open new account on your mobile device it automatically opens your camera, you can't upload the selfie. If you do it on a computer it requires a mobile device to scan a QR code that also opens your camera. So you'd have to snap the pic on your phone and hope it thinks it's a selfie, which it seems smart enough to tell you're taking a pic of a pic

The one good thing about this, it ought to mean that any new profiles of girls that show up have been verified in the same way, meaning they will be real people too.

It also motivates guys to keep their behavior in check, since old, grandfathered (no pun intended) profiles that didn't require this verification take on added value.

But I really would like them to clean up the site with all those fake women / profiles. Luckily you can sense a bot / scammer profile form a mile a way, but it makes the search that much harder when I have to sort through 100's of profiles to find a few real girls.

Ashley Madison was full of fake accounts.

I recently saw a profile for a girl that went to High School with my kids on SA. Through a round-about way I contacted her because it didn't seem right. It wasn't. She thinks a jilted ex-boyfriend created the profile. It's not longer on SA.

Another great way to weed out possible fakes is check to see how long it's been since they have logged in. If they haven't logged in since they created the account, they are most likely fake.
