About 30% say they want $500 and won't accept less. I reply politely and wish them well. Now, of this 30%, almost every one of them comes back within 1-2 weeks and says they're ok trying it at my rate because I'm a nice guy, not a scammer, etc.

What's the lesson here? Offer first, stick to your guns, and the pussy will come back to you.
