Hit up VIP a week or so ago. Had a much better time than the last few times. It was no Bali by any stretch but had a great shower and a decent massage. I forget the girl's name but she was friendly and very enthusiastic and more of a spinner type than VIP usually has. Older but a very nice body. Not rushed at all and a great menu included.
Haven't heard of the Lotus place. Probably just another Chinese place. They seem to be popping up all over these days.

I'll keep going to Foot or the other place if I need a good massage.

The other day I stopped by Foot Accupressure across the interstate from the Galleria. I wasn't expecting anything special. And they certainly didn't disappoint. I just went in looking for a relaxing massage and I won't be making that mistake again. Things started off with an upsell to a TS, which I don't mind as long as they keep the temperature warm enough that you don't have chills the rest of the session, so I agreed. As it turns out, that was the best part of the trip. Very thorough and relaxing, but after the wash down, another upsell, this time for the body scrub at an extra $10. Since it was my first time in the place, I figured I'd go for it and get the whole experience. It was good, but I could have lived without it. The first wash was more relaxing. Also, I wasn't expecting them to wash my hair but that was a nice little extra; just be forewarned if you have someone at home who isn't expecting you to come in with damp hair. The biggest problem was that they used a massage table with a pillow and towel in the shower. As they got wet, the pillow starts slipping through the face hole and burying your face in a water filled hole with a soaking wet towel is like being waterboarded. They table is also positioned a little too far down so, on the flip, you constantly have your face being sprayed with water. Not as relaxing as it may sound.
Onto the massage. Things started off with the young lady opting for more modern music and she wanted to use my phone to do it. I pulled up my player and handed it to her and she was off, zipping through my phone for a half second until I stopped her: mea culpa. She did finally pick a music station, which later in the session would be changed to-wait for it-modern Christmas music. Ever had your thighs massaged to Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you?" I have. Now, onto the bad stuff. She started with walking on the back, something I usually enjoy, but this was the hardest rub I've ever had. I would have protested more, but she kept knocking the breathe out of me. Even when I told her to ease up a couple of times, it only lasted for about three seconds before she had it cranked back up. It was a thorough rub. My spleen has never felt more refreshed. And I have to give it to her, for a woman of 5'3" on a good day, she hides what must be 380 lbs very well.
Now with the extra long "body scrub" waterboarding and the hours of intense, almost ritualistic abuse of my ribcage, my hour was fast approaching. I got a light coat of oil on my legs while she whittled away the time for the next big upsell. Sadly, I accepted this last one for the additional thirty minutes. I don't know if it was my dauntless courage in the face of unspeakable horrors or simply that I wanted her to at least attempt to finish the massage. As it turns out, she wasn't interested in doing either. The next twenty minutes consisted of her practically sitting on the edge of the table lightly rubbing one leg (I'm not certain of the events of that day, but I'm pretty sure one leg didn't get rubbed at all). There was some intense teasing at this point, even though I wasn't expecting anything to come of it. I was able to confirm that expectation despite some more than casual brushes and slide of hand with the goods and a rather odd staring contest, cheeks spread, with the brown eye. She never did tell me who won, but I have to wonder what she saw looking into its depths.
In conclusion, I won't be going back. Next time I'm in the mood, I'll just have some one hose me down and beat me with a large stick. It's true that the other place (Panda I think) doesn't offer TS, but they do have a great massage (no extras) without the S&M.
I called her multiple times a few days ago and could never get anyone to answer the phone. Glad I didn't now. Also tried calling the new place on 280 that says it's across from Logans and Chick Fil-A, and couldn't get anyone to answer.

That's gold dude. I made the mistake of getting the table shower the first time I went, and I've never been a fan of a TS no matter where it was at. But, as I posted when this happened, the part that made me ill was trying not to swallow a gallon of water that my head was squeezing out of this pillow. I get where you're coming from there.
