After I contracted gonorrhea late last year, I informed the provider I was with about 6 weeks prior. Since symptoms typically develop about 4-6 weeks after contraction I'm reasonably certain I got it from her since I hadn't been with anyone else that recently. She insisted she didn't have it.

About month after I was treated a King County Public Health worker contacted me to confirm I received treatment. She also offered to contact the provider to see if she was interested in testing and treatment, but I had to get the provider's permission. I informed the provider of this and she didn't respond. I guess I tried to be as responsible as I could.

It's an interesting coincidence that we're both probably retiring from the hobby at about the same time for similar reasons. While contracting gonorrhea is a little scary I guess we can take solace we learned our lesson. At least it wasn't something incurable.
