They got to be REALLY busy with 50 pages of Backpage direct solicitations (mind you, I realize that many are repeats). Is this whole thing possible? Sure. Is it likely to have occurred? It is highly unlikely. I follow the old adage that the police (local and state) really and truly have their hands FULL with daily run of the mill policing matters and the vast majority of the time when something happens it is the direct result of their having received very specific calls from do-gooders in a given neighborhood who see many people entering and leaving a specific address (same applies to drugs as well). They observe it for a while and then set up a sting when it looks likely to catch someone. The police are NOT going to have some chick go to your home, enter your home, get a bit comfortable and THEN somehow get you to mention the cash for service aspect of the visit. If you have not noticed lately, lots of bad people out there and she could be dead before they have time to swoop. And more than that, to arrange this for a private residence without complaint is creating a problem which never even occurred. So, in the final analysis, such a posted message is nice but the whole thing is WAY far fetched. (IMHO)

Hey guys just a word of caution the Rhode Island Troopers now have an online task force that is cracking down on online prostitution here on Craigslist. A very good friend of mine was arrested at his own house for soliciting sex on here. I spent 6 hours at the state police last night waiting to get him released. They gave him a court date to appear next month. Seems it doesn't matter if you ask for Roses or even help with school books its still considered solicitation and it seems they know all the key words. So be careful whether you host or travel to them it doesn't matter if your looking for " help " they will help you into their cruiser in hand cuffs like they did to my friend Josh last night.

Was he responding to a ad placed by a 'new' advertiser or a established one? I know they've set up stings in hotels / motels where you're nabbed when you arrive. Don't know if they've ever done one at a private house. SW'er decoys won't even get in your car, I seriously doubt a CL / BP decoy will enter your home or hotel room.

They came to his house and arrested him because he offered P4P over the 'net? For all LE knows is he's making appointments and never showing just to bust their balls.

I hope none of you has ever offer financial gain to a women in return for sexual favors. I haven't as it's all a fantasy game I play.

All this talk about your friend JOSH being arrested at his home for solicitation. I have been running ads for years on CL under the CE section seeking massages for tuition help ect. Ect. Yes, more often than not it is a spam response that I will get that will lead me to a website that wants me to join with a credit card. Every now and then I hit the jack pot. There is always someone new coming along that is knew to CL or finds that they really do need tuition or car repair help and we both end up winners. I work in High Tech, I know a few cops, and I know for a fact that for LE to come to your house that they must first have a court order and the order is to obtain your ISP address (Internet service Provider). You don't even have to be a cop to find this out. There is a website just for searching out a person's ISP number. Every time you receive an e-mail from someone and you go into the options box and look at the header-it will show the ISP number. It is like a finger print of you. If the PD did come into Josh's 3 decker in Central Falls, then all he had to do is say " I didn't put that ad out. One of my friends must have done it while I was asleep ". Thus "No proof" or as they say in court "Reasonable Doubt". You never bring up court orders, or ISP addresses in your blog. I am having a very hard time believing this occurred. I would be curious to see if this incident shows up on Fox news or the Providence Journal. I just can't see WPRI news at 11 saying a RHODE ISLAND man was arrested for solicitation from his home computer and was behind bars for 6 hours!

I posted a report that had link to a posting I saw on Craigslist. I titled it "FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH", because that is what I thought about it. I did not state that "Josh" was my friend. I did not state that I believed it either. My reply to Gansett also stated that as well. In the future, please READ and UNDERSTAND the post before calling someone out. She actually looked to this old guy as being younger than the 29 she posts. I did get further pics after a long drawn out process. I did get a menu, all is available, and very inexpensive. I have not seen her, the wear and tear on the first pic was enough, but maybe might change my mind, maybe. If you can get a chest pic, you would be quite surprised. That face is tough to get past, but maybe it hides something that isn't used much below it, who knows.. That is suprising the chest size, didn't appear so in the pics she sent, but it was a drab outfit. Keep me updated, I'll go for sloppy seconds.
