Haley. A bait and switch scam
This one's a scammer. Talks a good game on the phone and then when you get there and realise it's not the same person, she tries to extract a "cancellation fee" to avoid outing you and posting your picture publicly.

Did she request a pic in advance?

https://adultsearch.com/washington-dc/washington-dc/female-escorts/1627535
It doesn't specify in the ad you linked to. But, if she did, that's another good reason for never sending a pic. Her threatening to use it as a blackmail tactic might not be a big deal for some mongers but for others, with family and / or job considerations, it could be a very big deal.
Giving any personal info to someone you don't know is a dicey proposition.
Rip-off provider. Sexy Joy (Adult Search)
Last week I attempted to make an appointment with Sexy Joy from Adult Search at https://adultsearch.com/virginia/springfield/female-escorts/2124449. I should have seen the signs, but I am new to this. Initially, she was very responsive when I texted her to set up a 1 hr massage. She provided me her address in Old Town, Alexandria at an upscale hotel. Sexy Joy asked that I provide payment via gift card. She claimed it was for her security. After arriving to hotel I expected to provide the room #, instead she asked me for proof I had the gift cards. After going back and forth I finally provided her the information she requested. She then informed me she was finishing with another client and would let me know when to come up shortly. As I waited I got concerned and checked the status of the gift cards. She had already used the cards. Again, my stupidity and inexperience. She continued to indicate we would make the appointment, however after a few hours I needed to go. The next day she apologised for the missed appointment and wanted to reschedule. I thought she was trying resolve the matter, however she then asked for another gift card. This provider is a complete rip-off. I wanted to make sure everyone knows to avoid this provider.
That sucks, and not in a good way

I'm sorry you got ripped off but you learned one valuable lesson: never pay with anything other than cash at the time of your visit. If the provider won't accept cash or demands an advance deposit, move on. Also move on if she wants personal identifying information such as your driver's license, employment information or your picture.
The text of that ad, by the way, resembles a fake or scam ad. Learn to read the ads and use photo search tools such as Google images or TinEye. I searched one of those photos with TinEye and it turned out to be a photo of porn star Jaye Summers. Reading the fucking forum (RTFF) will also be to your advantage. Better luck next time.

Beware Ms Jive will set you up
Sup fellas. Sorry I took so long posting this. This happened to me last week. They are still posting and using the same phone number. This is the pic they are using but it's not of the girls running the scam. I talked to her for 2 days then finally went to see her and a girl friend. We agreed on a donation and she even called when I was enroute to the Americas Best Inn on Warrenton in Fredericksburg. Once in the room I was surprised by 3 guys who tried to rob me. I wrestled those 3 losers off me and got out of the locked room with everything I entered with. Thank God none of them had a weapon. PM me for details if you wish. A bit of free advice. I don't know how many of you mongers carry but I will definitely not be visiting any hotels in Fredericksburg from now on without my friend on my hip or who has been verified on this here board. Here is the number they are using. 540-377-1091.
Things I have noticed about fake ads
I echo what Tom says about your first post being informative (good job!) and also what he says about gift cards. No, no, a thousand times no! And the ad is exactly like every other scam ad. You'll get sharper at this. You learned a costly lesson, but learn from it and be smarter next time. Tell us when you find a good one!
These are the things that make me think an add is fake:
- multiple locations, or vague location - (washington).
- a phone number that doesn't show up on any review site (this one did not).
- suspiciously low rates (300 $ overnight).
- stock looking or model type images. Again, this was a pretty good example.
It's always possible this person is real, just ask them to text you a photo of them touching there nose with three fingers or something.
Be safe!

Paid w / Cash App & BBW Stopped Responding
Don't judge me. LOL, but I dreamed of this BBW three times previously, so I thought I could trust her. She asked for help three times through cash app, smaller amounts ($20, $30, etc.) for a total of $70. She stated next time I could see her two more times with no further payment, since I helped her out in advance, so I fell for it. I should have known better than to trust her, since she is no longer responding to my texts. It makes no sense to burn bridges with clients over a small amount, but you never know what goes through ones mind. It's hard to admit a mistake, but thought I'd share it so others can learn from it. Even if you've seen someone on a regular, don't trust the pre-payment requests. "I need help to pay for food, my room, etc. ".
Kayla / Harmony cash and dash ripoff!

Since I had seen her once before, I let my guard down. Gave the donation up front which I rarely do. 2 minutes into the BBBJ there's a knock on the door. Says it's the maid bringing the towels she asked for. She opened the door and ran out leaving me in the room at full attention. In hindsight I should have seen it coming. Just wanted to warn the rest of you to avoid her or be prepared!
