She had me flip and continued with the very capable, professional massage. I've found that all of the Chinese places give a very good massage. I doubt that many of them are CMTs, but they give much better massages than the typical CMT. I've found in my travels around the world, that Asians give the best massages. The best massages that I've ever gotten have been in Korea (ROK). But I digress.

At the conclusion of my time (and I did get the full 90 min, but then again, I paid for it) , she began a HJ, but just was not really into it. So, I dismissed her from that work. I had agreed to have the shower at the end, so that's where we went next. However there was another customer in the shower. So back we went to the massage room where she did a face massage. I always love that.

All in all, I'd return for a massage, but not for any kind of carnal satisfaction. And I would not allow myself to be upsold beyond the 1-hour massage.

I would not recommend this place for anything beyond a very decent massage. Also, the experience cost me quite a bit. They charge you for the shower and they seem (in my opinion) to pressure you for a significant tip. If you just want a good Chinese massage, I would really recommend the place on Wappoo Road much more than Golden Dragon. Just go a little further south on Savannah Highway and turn right on Wappoo. It's a mile or so down the road on the left in a small L-shaped strip mall. Great massage for $50 and the tip is left up to you. They are more than happy with $20 there.

Just want to be clear. The Chinese place on Wappoo Road. Will absolutely not provide anything beyond a first class massage. I think you have been to Zen already and you are aware of what you will receive there.

I've been to GD multiple times and have only scored an "assisted" self finish. I agree with Lex, the massage is actually good but the whole up charge to 90 minutes and $20 more for a TS is a bit much. There were 3 women who worked there for my first few visits and I liked all of them but I went by there a couple weeks ago and they had a totally different staff. I've seen a few reviews where HE happened but I was told "no" by 4 different ladies who all encouraged me to take matters into my own hands. I realize that YMMV, but I've pretty much given up on that place.

This is a conservative area and I'm sure the owner knows that. My impression was that the staff had been well schooled in the necessity not to give LE an excuse to bust them. The owner's investment in the place seems to have been on the light side. The shower, for example, was very cheaply done. But I guess he still doesn't want to see it thrown away.

Just my musings.

As I reported, my experience was definitely not self-service but it was fairly uninspired. I was going to try it again and try to get the greeter woman to service me. By the way, if anyone is interested in a really good massage without anything else, try Synergy Therapeutic Massage off Coleman Blvd in Mount Pleasant. Carrie is the name and her massage is top notch.

Do you, by any chance, remember the Carrie from BP? Coincidentally, she started out as a CMT.

I've had a lot of massages by a lot of different masseuses. So far the best massage by a white woman has not been as good as the worst massage by an Asian. I think it has to do with the attitude of service towards men that seems to bi inculcated into Asian women from birth.

Regarding the mamasan at GD, from my experience and the experiences of others, I think the mamasan is just there as a come on. And I also think that, were you to get the entire massage from here, you would be (shall we say) less happy than with the other, less attractive women.

Despite everything, I ended up there again. Got a new girl for one hour ($70) and a table shower ($20). Pretty good massage and she got nice and personal around my backside and the frontal underhangings. She spoke very little, if any, English. On the flip, I was quite up and she got all around it and even onto the balls. Then she started rubbing just below the balls rather enthusiastically. Well, it was almost comical as my member was flopping all over the place while she did that. I finally gently placed her hand on the target and she did give me a decent HE. Got the ts afterwards which was good to get the oil off me. Gave her the standard $40 tip. So, $130 total for good massage, good table shower, and decent HE from a fairly attractive girl. All in all, the best time I've had there. I did have the mamasan once there. Actually my first visit. And she is quite sexy and a lot more interactive than the others. But. She declined at the HE. I guess I might go back but maybe I've already hit the place at its best.

I have been a number of times and never had the same women except for my first two visits, name was Lucky. Last two times I had to wait and each time I asked the Mamasan if she would do the massage and she said no,"working" and after the wait sent in the MP for the actual massage. Older Chinese lady the last time and while left satisfied really have not left happy for a while. I think all in all Zen is better if not a bit harder to get to. All visits to GD have been satisfactory if again not stellar.

Just sayin'[/QUOTE]Hey Lex. Thanks. The health is just fine but work's been "killing" me. I think I would put this Carrie's massage right up there. I never met the Carrie on BP. I suppose it could be her but I wasn't expecting any extras at all when I arranged for the massage and of course there wasn't any, but as I said the massage was top notch. This particular Carrie is a little overweight, friendly but not a big talker. I took the 90 minute offering and was really worked over for that entire time. I will definitely repeat.

Hi Gents. Can anyone tell the me name of the Chinese massage place on Wappoo Road? I was trying to find the place "in a small, L-shaped strip mall about a mile down the road on the left" as described in past posts, but I couldn't seem to find it. I assume that the Spa of Charleston that is in the large corner house just after U-turn off of Savannah Hwy is NOT the correct place?
