TIA.[/QUOTE]"Gift cards" means scam. Why would a girl ever actually meet to receive gift cards in lieu of cash, what is the advantage for "her" other than to rip you off? Use your common sense, there is no reason for gift cards other than to scam you.

Here is the gift card scam, and what will happen if you are foolish enough to fall for it:

1. She agrees to meet with you, might even give you a vague location or hotel name, and gives you a phone or text number.

2. You agree on the amount.

3. You buy the gift cards.

4. You get to the location and call / text her to get the room number she is in.

5. She texts back "did you bring the gift cards?

6. You reply yes.

7. She texts back "Give me the gift card numbers to prove it".

If you are stupid and provide the gift card number (s), she now has your money and will go silent on you.

Just so you know, it is more likely that you have been scammed by a Nigerian dude rather than a local girl that just ripped you off.

Remember, cash exchanged when you do the deed is the ONLY way you should roll. Gift cards, Cash App deposits and whatever are always scams. Don't fall for it!

Telegram is an app used mostly outside the US so that again reinforces my thought it's a scammer. An international fishing with stolen pics asking for gift cards, a digital transferable currency.

They will ask you for a picture of the gift card and you are then ghosted or they will have you read them the numbers on the card and you are ghosted. Most scenarios with gift cards you end up ghosted. Happy mongering!

There's only so much one can do to screen and walk that fine line. How does one get the word out to share with the brothers who love this hobby without it being a full time job?
