I'm keen on going to Rickey's at some point this year, but your report of $40 dances is dissuading me a bit (along with the fact that it's about a 90 mile drive for me); I'm going to try and research it a bit more so I can go when or if they ever run a dance special of some sort.
In the meantime I might try for NW Indiana to see if I luck out there--to me $10 is the value sweet spot for dances, and there are still some places that offer that (All Star in McCook, IL; Temptation in Gary, IN; certain other IL and IN clubs that run specials such as Club 390 on Wednesdays, etc.). I've read about some of the old places (the one in Beloit makes me wish I moved sooner) but it seems like everything else is hit and miss. I have never been a fan of the Silk "style" of clubs, but the smaller places with more character and more touching maybe. Cheers from the newbie.Most of the clubs suck in Milwaukee. I'm partial to Rickie's because they allow a lot of touching, at the bar, in the lappy area, everywhere I guess. If you sit along the wall, no one can see what you're doing or where you're groping. My buddy (who loves chocolate) and I went there last Wednesday night. The place supposedly opens at 8:30, but even by 9:00 there weren't a lot of girls there. A faily cute, light skinned girl sat next to me, and I got some pretty good titty feels at a buck a whack, as well as a quick stroke on the hooha. There was an amazon who looked like a GWF escapee. OUCH. Then there was a tatted up girl who was really outstanding, but she never came to talk to me or my friend. We left at about 11:00 just as two more really attractive girls walked in. The last time I was there, I was told lappy's are $40. "Um, no they're not!" because no way is this fucking cheapskate going to drop two dubs to walk out smelling like vanilla body wash and some fucking glitter on me. I didn't even ask this time, so I don't know if the girl from before was working me for extra cash or if that is the real price. But if you want casual body contact for a buck or two, and chocolate is your thing, Rickie's is the place to be.
Oh, BTW, four out of the seven patrons were white. If you're scared of being the only white guy in there, don't be. I have been there when I was the only cracker there when the place was packed and never had a problem.

Back in the '90's, it oozed that dark and cramped basement rec-room feel. It was eventually upgraded to feel more spacious and brightly lit, but honestly, it ruined the vibe. Private dances were now out in the open, right up near the bar for the whole world to see. I felt like I was on trial more than anything.It's the whole "on trial" thing that I'm trying to avoid. Of course nothing will be 100% closed off besides a champagne room but that's just too much. I don't need the bar tender to also get a free dance as well. Sheeeesh.

I am learning about the tip walk here which is unfortunate because of the area I came from.To avoid the tip walk, what I do for both Encore and Silk is to visit over my lunch hour. Encore is owned by the Monreal's, who used to run El Matador on Bluemound. You can still order a really good Mexican plate while at the bar. Same thing with Silk. The burger is actually really good for the price. All in all, it seems to be industry etiquette to leave the guys alone while they eat. I'd rather drop 10 bucks on a sandwich or chimichanga than waste it on a half-hearted tip walk.

I haven't been there in a few years, but I always felt safe there. I also generally park around the corner and slipped the bouncer a $20 to keep an eye on things. It's never a bad idea to tip the bouncer anyway. Whenever I go to Silk I get the VIP treatment during the daytime because I generally tip the security guy and he recognizes me and knows I'll tip him again.

There's also Gold Diggers only been once when I was taking an acquaintance for a tryout. Looked to be type of place we're there are no rules but you will definitely standout.

When I would go to Rickie's I would take a cab from some bar downtown and not worry about my car. One time my friend and I walked from the 5 O'Clock club to Rickie's drunk on our asses. Well well well. Tonight I finally decided to try out the town. It's been well over 2 years maybe since my last go at a place. Decided to check out the Spot Light since I was curious and new to the area. Welp. It's probably a no go for me again. I walked in to be only customer there. Three girls were working and the most attractive one left 5 minutes after I got there. Had a few drinks to loosen up and talked a nice young lady named Viper. She was nice enough but never asked me for a dance really or a private room. Just talked about all kinds of shit. I suggested a room maybe since she was the best looking (of two mind you) left. The other girl looked like She had just rolled out of bed pissed off and ready to fight. Really bright in there which was ehhh. Idk the whole thing just was not worth it for me. Didn't even try to get a dance after awhile. Drank my 3 drinks and went to the only place I felt comfortable. The Encore. Because the Bucks and Brewers played (and lost), there were a few people but got decently busy by the end of the night. Great staff, great drinks, not over priced for a double so I was happy. Probably a good 8 girls working so plenty to look at. Overall a great time at the encore. Closed it down with a bunch of people by the end of it.

Less than that or saying you're not up for a back room dance is white flag to those girls looking to turn a quick $. Remember from strip club down to SW they only care what they can part you from your wallet. It's a hard lesson we all learn. Especially the part where above the mentioned range it's far more subtle.
Thought I'd go check out a new club tonight. I heard Ricky's had some decent tvs to watch the game. When I got there it was closed at about 9:00 pm. Padlock on the door and all.
So then I thought I'd try another club I've never been to. Gold Diggers. The cover was only $5 but there wasn't a TV with the game on.

I got dances from two girls. Overall, the dances were 70% air and 30% lap dances. (Maybe this was due to time and day of week?
Does anybody know of a club that gives a higher lap dance ratio? Also cost per dances?
I was thinking of visiting Encore next time to provide a report.
Visited OTB Sunday evening, arrived around 9:00, I was a little surprised how lively the place was that late on a Sunday night. Bar seats mostly full. Nobody was manning the cash register at the door so I blew in cover free. I took a seat along the back edge of the bar, facing the small dance stage, about 6 feet in front of me. Usually nobody was sitting at the dance stage itself, but from time to time a patron would head over for a close look for a dancer or 2, bestow her with several $ then go back to the bar. After a while Jen appeared, she's hot, so I took a seat right at the stage, pretty much stayed there, thinking yeah, these girls each deserve a few bucks from me for the entertainment value, there should always be a few guys at the stage itself. Of course, some dancers will work you over for $4 or $5 when you're the only one there, can't blame 'them. The standouts were Secret, Renee, Chloe, & Jen. I asked Secret to take me back for private dances, and was pleasantly surprised when 10 minutes later she appeared and took my hand and said let's go. . Secret is olive skinned, long black hair, huge playboy quality tits DDs, and a firm big ass sitting on shapely fit legs. Everything you'd want. We did 4 dances ($144 not including tip) and I left happy. She put that J-Lo ass and DDs right in my face and actually had her fingers inside my shorts (I was wearing thin gym trunks no underwear) for the better part of 2 dances, man that was exhilarating. Too much liability, especially when liquor is served. I recommend that you get a few buddies together, pool your cash, and throw a party with hired talent. The best thing about that scenario is that, unlike a strip club, you may actually get extras during your private dances.

Alcohol free, I remember some guys going out to the parking lot to have a drink and come back in. Had decent fun with some of the girls. It was the best strip club I had ever been to in that regard. Last time there were three strippers, but they all were ugly. They've all been ugly since I resumed my sojourns to the venue. All throughout the aughts, the strippers ranged from ugly to hot, and there were usually ten or twenty customers. The only good development is that the Spotlight is so desperate for business that they abandoned their (still posted) practice of charging a cover; but at what cost? The entire experience is miserable now.
There are a quite a few number of dead strip clubs around. Especially in any bigger city or area that has more than a couple strip clubs.
I think I've heard that 1/3 of all Strip Clubs will close in the next 5 years in addition to the Strip Clubs that have already closed in recent years.
From Managers down to Strippers, no one knows how to deliver from 5 years ago much less than 20 years ago (before my time).

I go semi-regularly. Talent seems to be always changing. It was a bit of a sausage party when I first got there with a lot of older heavyset guys lining up at the bar and outnumbering the girls by 3 to 1. And it had about 5-10 dancers who ranged from attractive to almost frumpy. Only one standby veteran-Sage -was there that I recognized from other times. She's an attractive medium build blond in her mid to late 20's with smaller breasts. I was in search of a smoking hot skinny Latina in her 20's named Peaches who I used to see but no dice. But otherwise OTB is a real revolving door of dancers. The notables for me on Thursday were Summer who is a late 20's / early 30's blonde, nice body, small breasts, bubbly personality. Also Selena who is a early to mid 20's Latina with beautiful smile and great petite body with long legs. I did not partake in any dances this time maybe because it was just too busy. I did run into one very aggressive and attractive AA stripper whose name I don't remember who likes to get "handsy" OTC for guys sitting at the bar ala the Detroit clubs. She is hot and very forward which can be sexy. She lures you to private dances but holds back there and holds out for VIP though. I still think OTB offers the most variety in dancers in town and an overall good venue. Nothing like Detroit which has the finest mix of venues, girls, and extras around. One thing OTB needs is more TVs showing SportsCenter for the inevitable time when the dancer on the stage does not capture interest. There were a few of those this Thursday pm. Silk does way better with TVs than OTB.

It was Champaign room. I like to treat myself every now and then. Yes I dropped some coin. But I also had a good time. A funny thing though. I'll have wads of cash in pocket that can go to her and her pals or it can stay in mine. No harm no foul. The only place I have been truly played was sugar shack in delavin and the Vegas club.
