Visited the Milwaukee Silk location tonight. I've never been a fan of the tip walk at any club. Word to the wise: the food is actually really good at Silk. The bowl of chili is only 6 bucks. Tip walkers steer clear of you if you're eating. I was able to coax a favorite dancer over and spend the rest of my time giving her a body massage. All over roaming and it only cost me the price of a gut-filling lunch!

The burgers are a little salty, but if you specify no salt when you order, they are very good. The chicken quesadilla is huge and also very good. I may have to go back and sample the rest of the menu.

Agree with WillowRut, in that the food at Encore is by Monreal's. They used to run El Matador, before it was bought out by the local La Fuente chain. Anyway, excellent mexican food and perfect with a Corona.

I stopped in at Silk on SS tonight, expecting a packed line-up for Fat Tuesday. No such luck. Almost more males in-house than talent. Great $2 tacos as usual. 2-for-1 imports helped while I licked my wounds. A fave stood me up for another customer with more visitor senority. Recently I got off work early and stopped by On the Border at 3pm the other day.
There was a new crop of dancers at the place. They were much more aggresive then the last crop of dancers.
While the $35. 00 per dance is steep most of the dancers do a good job of teasing and then sum.
I will not mention names to protect the good dancers.
The problem is who to pick for a dance.
I suggesd sitting at the front stage and pick someone who is aggresive on the stage.
But that works only 50% of the time.
At 7pm there is a different criop coming in, so I cannot report on them.

Hit up Silk on Tuesday nights. Grab a table for a couple of their inexpensive tacos. None of the dancers will shake you down for tips if you're eating. What's worse. 10 bucks wasted on the tip walk, or a well fed belly?

Has anyone visited Club Bistol near Madison?
I visited there last summer one afternoon on my way home to Milwaukee and have an enjoyable time.

Stopped by the show palace in Darien earlier this week. Went about 4:30 PM. They had four dancers. Two really heavies, one bigger, but good looking AA girl, and one girl who must have been out of sight the whole time. I never saw her. I was told 3 girls never showed up. I would recommend Airport Lounge first, and Solid Gold second. They are both close by cab ride but Airport is bigger, nicer, classier and the owners are great people. Silk, Brooklyn's and OTB are much longer drives, especially OTB. Figure on a $25-$30 cab ride (for first passenger) to Silk or Brooklyn's.

Being with mixed company I couldn't stop and ended up at the BWW across the street. While there a group of 4 girls walked in that looked like strippers. LOL. If it were not for their convenient downtown locations, I suspect that these clubs would not exist at all as OTB, Silk and Brooklyn are all much stronger options in terms of talent and atmosphere. I visit Milwaukee regularly and also rely upon cabs to get around and I don't find Brooklyn to be in a bad area or too much of a hassle, though you will need to call for your pickup.

When I googled the address it came up with something on 46th and Fond Du Lac. apparently that is Brooklyn's Restaurant not Club Brooklyn's, Gentlemen´s Club. West Allis is safe as can be. You will need to pre-arrange a taxi though as I have never seen a free roaming taxi in West Allis.
Wasn't that location recently renovated? I remember them having an amusing sign during construction, something about rear entry.

When I did live in the Milwaukee area the main clubs I would go to were Silk and On The Border, both have some positives but many negatives. On the border would be a lot better if the dances were not $30-$35 a song and both VIPs are way too expensive. The talent can be good but nothing overwhemingly great. Silk was way too strict on any touching in the lap dance booths.
I found my best bet was doing the $10 tableside dances in a remote area as possilbe at Silk with either a dancer of waitress / shot girl -- costs less and can even be more touching.
Another club near Miller Park is cheap but really hit and miss.

I will be in your fine city in a few weeks and was looking for the best establishment. By that I mean fun / value / girls. Not so much something fancy. I will be with some friends that can adapt anywhere. I tried looking at tuscl, yelp, etc and it doesn't seem like the clubs are much better than Chicago clubs which is a huge let down.
But thought maybe you guys can guide me in the right direction. 4 non local guys, drinkers, like all types of women and music. So, if you were in downtown Milwaukee, and could choose a place where would it be?

For downtown, Arts is the closest, but I would NOT recommend. Solid Gold is very close too, and based on recent visit I would suggest that it is at least worth a visit.
Now comes the tough part, you can head NW to Silk which is probably my first pick in the city (affordable drinks, no valet, nice place, good girls, $20 private YMMV dances).
Or you could head south which would take you to On the Border in Franklin. This is probably best for mileage, but also typically most crowded at night and most expensive $35/ dance.
Also south is the Airport Lounge. I do not visit regularly enough to give you a great run down, but the dances are $25/ song and YMM (greatly) V.
In general, do not expect Detroit action anywhere in Milwaukee. OTB is probably the best mileage but even at $35/ song you are not getting what you get for $20 in detroit. Silk is probably the most fun for a bunch of guys.
If you are really just looking for a super fun night out, I would probably say hit Solid Gold then hit some of the other cool neighborhood bars in the area.
Ricky's is also downtown in a much rougher area. It is largely AA women and mileage, while sketchy, can be good.

Thanks.For my money, Silk is the best daytime visit. OTB can be good too, but the prices are much higher.
Both are $5 cover. OTB has a lunch buffet (which I have never been enticed by). Silk actually has a real kitchen and the food is surprisingly good. (I would say stick to burgers, but ask your waitress what is good, she is a straight shooter).
One note on both places, I have never found the wait staff to be of any useful help in picking girls. They seem to have favs, but they never seem to be the higher mileage girls.

I am also hoping to find something closer to home which is the Janesville / Beloit area.
I generally only drive about 1 1/2 hours just for a regular night out at a club, which for me would be the Madison, Milwaukee and Rockford areas plus up to 45-50 minutes north or west of Madison or 45 minutes for Rockford or northwest Chicago burbs.
Some clubs have the better looking girls but are way too tight on rules and much too expensive. Others clubs have a better setup but just don't have the quality of dancers. Sometimes days and off nights are better, but I hate driving to clubs and having a boring night.
I can't find a club anymore that has a cheap VIP -- Vegas club had a discounted 1/2 hour VIP for $90 until a few months ago with new ownership the price is at least $125 or $150, have heard different reports. The other big problem is clubs are now taking money from the dancers which makes it harder to negotiate a good multiple dance discount.

After a few beers my buddies and I were walking out and realized Arts was nearby. Despite my warnings to my buddies they forced me to try it out. Now I see why you guys did not recommend the place. Very small, bad layout, quality was actually decent but nothing really to go crazy over. The drinks were also expensive. After one round and tipping a few dollars we made our way out.
Then the fun began. We hailed a cab and I was set on solid gold or silk. I was leaning towards silk. When we got in, I said we are looking for the best gentlemans club (Just wanted to see his response) He quickly said solid gold is good.
At that point my buddy blurted out, we want a place with big asses! The cabbie said, if you like big asses then you need to try Rickeys and its close by. Now in a sober state of mind I'd have said no thanks take us to solid gold (especially since Rickeys had no mention here) and no real reviews online. But being caught up in the moment and seeking adventure we said what the hell and went.
Now I know it's a black club but being from Chicago I have learned those are the best and lover them. This place IMO did not disappoint. Here we are 2 white guys and 2 hispanic guys and we were well greeted. Upon entering we see girls on stage shaking asses all over the place! The atmosphere was good, the people all kept to themselves and just had a good time.
I Spent most of my time there with a THICK girl with an amazing ass and huge DD's. It was unreal. Dances were $20 but well worth it. Lot of grinding, touching, ass and tits to my face. It was exactly the type of night I wanted.

So Alexis Texas will be at silk this Thursday till the weekend (The last time I went, it was free admission because two adult film stars where there in the VIP. I thought they were going to perform but all they did was sit in VIP with no one else in there.

This is in response to the earlier post about Alexis Texas being at Silk this Thursday through the weekend.
I saw Alexis Texas at Silk last year in March and honestly I was a little disappointed -- not much interaction with customers while on stage and only available for a short amount of time for pictures, lap dances and VIP. What I heard as a price quote was $100 for a lap dance from Alexis Texas and I don't think anyone did a lap dance with her last March.
It may still be worth a trip this weekend to go to Silk as when they have a big name feature it usually brings out the best dances they currently have at the club.

Quick report. Visited Silk today. The BBQ chicken sandwich was awesome and the company even better. After each dance the girls would take him back to the VIP room for more cash. So, He was apparently the bank, the other regular got the remaining attention while I sat there bored. I don't mind slipping $ between her tits or g-string but aside from the cute spinner and the older blond, the dances lacked effort. I wasn't being stingy either. The one black girl showed no effort at all, nothing erotic about her. Boring. With the exception of the older blond, the other dancers would just pause their routine and chat with the regulars mid-song. I just couldn't get into it. I was just looking to relax and enjoy something sexy, didn't expect top quality but was surprised at how boring and poorly managed these dancers are. I don't like to drive way out to Brooklyns or Silk, so, I'll have to try OTB or Solid Gold again. If you have a better time here, please report it.

OTB is always hit and miss no matter what day you go.
Also every day of the week is different than the other:
Sunday=dead, loser customers, less girls. Girls very aggressive (no money).
Monday=dead, loser customers pretty much the same.
Tues = 2 for 1 lapdance night when dj calls it. Dances still expensive. Medium amount of girls.
Wed = reg price beer night kinda slow. Mix of regular customers and broke ones. Medium amount of girls.
Thurs = couples night. Some couples mixed with regular customers. Medium girls. Lots of annoying ones.
Fri = probably large amount of customers. All kinds. Large amount of girls 20+. Hard to get 1 on 1 attention. Lapdance and 355 USD /30 mins vips are pushed.
Sat = more customers. Party buses. Large amount of girls 20+. The-bag bachelor parties usually. Hard to get 1 on 1 attention. Lapdance and 355 USD /30 mins vips are pushed.
Any of these days can be totally dead or just have customers who arent tipping the girls. This makes the girls very pushy.
Never go to one of their events. They suck and the cover is higher and passes don't work. The 'event coordinator' aka housemom kim is some freak who has her strange friends.
Come and dance during the events. One time they had tranvestite guys and the people who paid to sit at tables got up and walked out.

I wouldn't recommend traveling a great distance to go to OTB. If you live nearby, fine. But don't drive more than 20 minutes to it. Not worth it.
This is the second time visiting here in the past 6 months. I had a better time the last visit than this one.I went last week Wednesday around 11 pm. Doorman was very rude and playing on his cellphone txting someone for like 30 secs while I waited for him.
Then he looked at my Id and went in the drawer for change to my 10 for the 5 dollar cover. Again looking at cellphone.
So went in there and place is setup freaking weird. There's a tiny bar area over to the right and guys are elbow to elbow staring at the wall while a girl Dances on stage.
I recognized one girl from otb but she had a dozen roses and went in the back to put them away. Don't know WTF was up with that, but Strippers like money instead of flowers.

I know everyone has different likings. Here is my quick reviews of some of the more well known places.
OTB - $20 dances that are pretty lame and used to upsell, $35/ one or $90/ three dances that are reasonable quality based on the girl. A lot of upselling for $305/30 min rooms, which I have never tried. Girls are pretty darn solid here. Weekend nights can get over crowded. Staff is good.
APL - $25 private dances and very YMMV. Girls are all over the map, but many tend to stay, so if you find someone you like, you are probably in good shape there. Staff is good, owners and goons at door are kind of the-bags.
Solid Gold - $25 dances that are very nice. Selection of girls can vary from great to just OK. I have only visited a few times so I cannot really give a full review, but I would say it is worth a try if you are in or near downtown.
Silk MKE - $20 dances are very good depending on girl, $100/15 deal in VIP sometimes, otherwise $300 for 30 in VIP which I have not tried. Girls are very good here, better at night. During day they sometimes have some girls that should not be dancing, but they always have some real winners too. Thurs, Fri, Sat nights can get crazy. Great sleeper location for a lunch or afternoon. Also, First Friday of month, open at 7:00 am. Surprisingly good times to be had. Staff is good here.
Spearmint Rhino WB. Prices not as advertised at all. Get the sense that this place may be crashing and burning. Old 4 songs for $50 is now 4 songs for $65. Depending on night and selection (which is always small) you can have a lot of fun here, but you could also wind up having a crappy night.
Personal recommendation for MKE is still Silk MKE.

Ventured into Silk tonight for a late dinner. Call me crazy, but I totally love that a bowl of chili is enough to keep the tip walk requests at bay. I try not to be cheap. Frankly, I'd rather sit unattended for a while to better survey the scene. I finally broke down and enjoyed some company with the voluptuous, Eastern Euro blondie with the sharp blue eyes. Better mileage than expected during our lapper. Anyone have any further experience with her? It seems as if take-out is not an option, but I wouldn't mind cracking that Russian code to discover if more is available.

Seems that the dancing talent is really down all over the area. I don't think a lot of guys know what a great dancer / Erotic Entertainer is when one comes by as I see many of the hustler / scam / con-artist dancers still around and the better / nicer and ever better looking ones gone. Silk, On The Border, and Airport Lounge were the 3 clubs I use to go to -- now the only club I go to is Silk and am usually disappointed.
Silk always use to have 3-4+ really really hot dancers and up to 10 more pretty darn hot ones -- now your lucky if you see one really hot dancer and more than a few pretty darn good ones. I always use to like to do the $10 table dances at Silk seemed to be a win-win for both of us I get more songs for my money and the dancers get more OVERALL money as the club does not take money of of the table dances like they do the $20 lap dances PLUS your not being watched on the monitors by the bouncers so you can actually do more during these dances.
One last point -- lots of dancers are spending lots of time NOT on the Floor and NOT in a paid private area -- so mostly back in the dressing room, bathroom or smoking -- I started to take notice of this as some nights it looks like their are no dancers but they are really all just in the dressing room.

I see a lot of complaining but I have had a great time with Vica and with Meadow. Both attractive and give great dances. I will continue to go back.

These sluts don't even strip they just circle around the club begging for money like hungry angry sharks I've never seen such bullshit in my life you call this entertainment? I know they don't pull this crap in other parts of Wisconsin or anywhere else in the country that I've been too just here in Milwaukee.

They pack in tons of girls, the economy is bad, and the dances are expensive.
If a girl doesn't act annoying, she soon will be acting that way, because they have to be super aggressive just to make some money.
It sucks when I'm having a conversation with a friend or a stripper and then a dancer barges in with 'HELLOOOOOOOO, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TIP ME FOR MY DANCE' .
It just sucks. But they won't make money otherwise. What they need to do is but the cost of the dances and vips. That way people would be spending more money in the long run and everyone is happy.

You'll eat and drink for what you'd normally spend on a few joyless tip walks. I go in with money for only food and lappers. I leave satisfied and don't feel like a heel either.

And this was on a Tuesday night, place was pretty empty.
