The sad thing is that this happens more regularly than most boot lickers think. The East Side Division in Dayton does this a lot.

The Columbus police vice unit is being disbanded and its ten officers are being reassigned, Interim Columbus Police Chief Thomas Quinlan announced in a Twitter post Tuesday night.
The vice section is currently part of the Narcotics Bureau. Quinlan said that vice related crimes will be handled in a different fashion with a more community based approach. Quinlan, in a short video attached to the Twitter posting, offered no details.
Three of the 10 officers assigned to vice were already suspended, including Andrew Mitchell, a 31-year veteran who was recently indicted on federal charges for holding two women against their will in exchange for sex.
Mitchell, who is accused of fatally shooting Donna Castleberry during an alleged prostitution sting on August 23, was already under a criminal probe by the Columbus Police Department at the time of the shooting stemming from a complaint the department received in early August. The department said that Castleberry pulled a knife and stabbed Mitchell, who is a 30-year veteran of the force.

I used to work with a guy up in Akron and that was his Dad. He got special permission from the City of Akron and the county to do this. I've been to her establishment over 2 dozen times. I have over 6 providers I've met through her establishment alone as friends on my WeChat whom I've personally seen outside of the establishment. Whom are and were free to come and go as they please.
Most of these ladies are 40+ and never committed anything more than a handshake that they willingly initiated. They were never in any danger. Most of them were looking for a shopping companion or a green card cement holder at best.

Unfortunately a surprising amount of people admit stuff, or incriminate themselves. I don't know from experience but if I had to guess they probably lean on he social stigma a lot. Just being arrested or charged can get your face in the news, no conviction required.

Just a heads up, since the targeted campaign aims to shame, bully and harass, shouldn't take a whole lot of reporting of those posts to facebook to get them banned.

Its semi automatic as are most handguns now, I have a similar rifle to the one used as well as 2 Springfield handguns. All are capable of rapid fire. Which means any shooter can pop off just as many if not more rounds with the same type of hand guns I have that are easily and readily available by many, and if property equipped. The only thing that rifle can do that the handguns can not is shoot further and harder due to the longer barrel and bigger shell capacity. But in a close range situation like that. It doesn't matter. It was all shooting fish in a barrel. The only thing I can personally think of that would limit these situations in the future would be to outlaw the high capacity magazines. Which I'm sure the Democrats are already working on. (So if you want one you better get it now) & pr more people learning how to shoot properly and accurately and attaining a CCW. He was killed quickly and easily by the police because he was an untrained shooter and the police go through countless hours of training for these situations.

Firstly, just getting my jollies punching holes in paper, secondly knowing I have an effective means of defending my home and family in case of feces hitting the air circulator. Just look at some of the people in North Dayton guarding their houses from looters.
God forbid a Katrina like situation where all of the order would break down. Not to mention, the purpose of an armed populace is to keep the government on notice they can be removed at need. To do that military style weapons are EXACTLY what's needed.
The 2nd amendment doesn't grant anyone a right to own weapons. We HAVE that right. The 2nd guarantees the government isn't allowed to interfere with that. And yes, my position is that every gun regulation is invalid and a basic violation of constitutional law.
Sorry I know that's not what we come here for but an essential liberty is under heavy attack and I feel the need to defend it.

If a person gets shot with a simple handgun once or twice I have seen people survive that. Its called "do your homework and research the providers you are interested in before pulling the trigger". The City of Columbus and many other locations have required registrations for years. The ladies provide identification and proof of eligibility to work in the US. They sign a form promising to not break the rules and pay a fee. As long as they don't have prior convictions and have not overstayed their visa, they get their registration approved to provide "non-medical" or "relaxation" massage. It's a pain in the ass for the shop owner to get every new girl registered. It also grants city inspectors justification inspect the place if there's a complaint. As long as the girls are registered, it's business as usual.
I'd like to think most of us care about the reasons that matter most about why this happens, when people are at risk or being nefarious.

The bill is currently sitting in a Ohio Senate committee since February 2022. And yes they claim it is an attempt to further curtail the human trafficking problem in Ohio.

Thought I would post this link due to some confusing from some that you can't have a loaded firearm on your person while in a motor vehicle. From what I am gathering its the same as having a CCW but can't have it loaded if traveling through a school zone which is a Felony charge and if you are traveling out of state a lot you may want to get a CCW. Also as some mentioned already, if you get a CCW you are finger printed and photographed. Plus your plates and DL are flagged as a CCW carrier. So if you ever get stopped or under the influence they will go the extra step to search your vehicle to find one for additional charges.

Be careful.I googled vice crimes and got a list of possible reasons why this dude was arrested and charged. Didn't help narrow it down at all. Anyone have an idea of the typical vice crime?

You are obviously correct, but my question is what criminal investigation lead to the charges. From what I read it wasn't that he called up an ad and got busted, but was investigated for other reasons and then charged. That is some speculation on my part, but usually if it's a sting or an online operation that gets detailed in the article, at least the ones I usually see.

A criminal tools charge related to a prostitution arrest normally comes from a person using a phone to contact a prostitute. Could also be that he was pimping someone and that led to the charges. Won't know for sure unless someone reads the arrest report.
