I called last week to see the lady on 3rd, she said come in, there was another lady there. She ended up putting me in the last room by the back door, the water heater was in the room! Anyway, got a good massage, but the HE was ok with PM, but wanted. 6 for tip! I paid, and left. I have read that she does more than what I was offered, and that doesn't go well with me. I will try another place next time. She was always friendlier before, I had DATY with her before, and didn't even offer any extras this time.

Well Monday I finally had the chance to try the place on Johnson ave. Went in, met the little gal behind the front desk on the recliner I think, she was wrapped up in a blanket. I got undressed, the room was spacious with a small couch in it. Room walls went to the ceiling too. When she went to get oil, she did not remove the towel, just re-positioned it to work certain areas. That is when I lost hope of any extras. There have been two that I know of that have been shut down there. I think maybe even three. I know of one in Dubuque now, but I have read that no extras are available. I stopped by Relax'and late last week around 11:00 am To try a new place. The door was locked even though the lights were on. I called about 60 min later thinking maybe there was only 1 therapist and she was in an appointment but there was no answer. I ran some errands and stopped back again around 2:00 pm And the door was still locked. I then went to my old standby on Blair's Ferry. I thought this was odd and worth sharing.

She knew about Duo closing and that it had a different name at the end; she said they didn't have the right license. She had never heard of the old China Foot Massage on 33rd or M&A. I described the smoky women at M&A that don't know 2 words of english; she said the place sounded gross. Then she asked if I used TS and warned me about them due to bacteria. Not that I didn't know that already, but it just sells how easy it was to talk to her because the english was good.
I tried to ask her name and schedule because I wanted to come back, but she said that any girl there would take care of me like she did. When it was done. She thanked me and said that she'd see me next time. I had to stop her from running out to give her a tip. . 6.

As of today 3/22 I found the following.
Duo Dou is locked and closed.
Moon is locked and closed.
Lily is locked and closed (below medical building).
Relaxin is locked and closed (Boyson) ALSO there is a city of Cedar Rapids Placard on the window.
Lilians 16th ave across from Theissens is now called an accupressue salon rather than a massage parlor.
Same girl there wearing a dress.
Shanghi is open.
M& A is open and smoky.
The place just off 380 is open with the same girls.
Pearl is open with an older woman wearing a short dress.Been going to Moon for a few years and Boyson. Had back surgery and both places girls were great with addressing my needs. The only time that I've been there, I had success. As we were wrapping up, I asked for her name because I wanted to request her in the future. She said that any girl there would take care of me. The one that I had was a touch on the chunky side. Late 30's. Face was really nice. One of the best looking AMP women I've had. She spoke really good English for an AMP too.
I'm coming back into town next month and bringing plenty of cash with me. I'll post about how it goes.

I drove by Oriental this past Tuesday, and there were 4 vehicles in their p. Lot. Not too many places left, so I am guessing that place is doing good business these days! Just wondering if they will last. May was, to my experience talking with her in the past, that maybe she will get the proper certification and licenses needed to stay open. She seems smart, and had good English skills.

I guess giving the climate all of the businesses are very skeptical and gun shy which is understandable.

It was a different girl filling in for the day not much English as she said gives a great massage but that's about it.

A "new" place has opened on 6th Street SW. It is near Jims. Where one used to be.
Now listed as a "foot massage" parlor with a new phone number.
Had a good experience there today. I will be back.
