I don't often monger in the area, and don't keep good tabs what is available. Had 90 minutes to kill in the morning.
For the heck of it I stopped at Sunrise. Open sign is on, but doors locked and no bell to ring. Called, no answer. I drove away and probably should have kept on going. However they called me back and convinced me to come back and use the side door. That sounded promising.
It was not.
70 door fee. Place is actually pretty big inside, and pretty clean. The MT was Jenny. She's shockingly tall. I'd say she is about 6. 0. Looks Mongolian.
The massage was strictly legit, everything fully draped and not touching anywhere near the nether regions. It was okay for what it was, she is pleasant enough, but I have better MT's that I can go to for a real massage. I don't know if extras are available for regulars or not, but she would not be my first choice for that.

It appears as Wellness is no longer with us. I had only been once and it was ok, others reported they were pricy on tips. Nevertheless, drove past a couple times and the lights were off during the day. Heard a rumor from someone that they were busted but haven't seen anything official. Oh well.
Oakton Spa is now New Oakton Spa. Popped in but didn't stay. The place has been remodeled and new ownership. The MT looked familiar as I had been to Sunflower once. Late 40's and average all around. Slight upgrade from the previous MT but not by much.

It's a strange location but good to know it exists. Especially if she adds more women with more open menus.

I laid on the table uncovered and got a mostly average and oily massage. On the flip, we agreed on L1 and she did the whole "pay me first" thing that a lot of the providers are doing these days. (There were clothing options here too but I had no interest in that with this provider.) She reeled off a distant and uninspired L1 and I left. I know past reviews of this place described surly or demanding providers but I didn't get any of that attitude here thankfully. The mood I'd best describe for my provider was "fatigued", LOL. On my way out, I noticed another older and not so attractive provider in another room at the front watching TV. The only thing I kinda liked about this place was my room had a horizontal mirror next to the massage table. This would be a fun feature if they had more attractive providers to look at in the mirror, haha. I likely won't be repeating here anytime soon as there are better options in the Skokie / Lincolnwood / Evanston area. If you do decide to go, there is free parking in the residential area behind the strip mall they are located on.

Every time I saw a different provider and had never been impressed with the service and / or mts appearances there. They all negotiated and demanded at lest 60, offering L1 only. All of them were 50+ Moreover, I run into a walking in client in a hallway. Finally, it was hard to schedule an appointment because they do not always pick up the phone and had never answered my texts. The former mt wasn't young or attractive, but here prices were reasonable, she offered a good menu, and was communicating easily.

Providing an timely update to our traveling monger to EV. Tried to arrange a mid day stop and visit the Ping on chicago midday during the week. The front facing location still gives me a bit of a need to look both ways and I saw a LEO sitting up in that elevated parking near the L tracks. Probably was looking for speeders on chicago in all honesty.
Called Sherman as it's known well to me and they were free right away. They failed to mention there was a crew of 2-4 plumbers working on a pipe in the back. If I had known they were there I def wouldn't have gone. Weird to get standard massage and L1 with whirring of drills and dudes problem solving pipes. Jenny saw and serviced me (40's-50's, not great teeth but very sweet and enthusiastic. Gave some nice ball and ass play when promoted and I had a great finish. Did some back walking too. Tipped my normal amount but in retrospect I think she would have accepted just the house fee considering the workers there. She said I was client #3 of the day so it wasn't turning off most folks.

Overall I think it's a good to have this added option in the area sucks there aren't many, but like any place, it just depends on the provider. When I went there were two new girls, but I just went with the one who opened the door and didn't get to see the other. She was cute-ish, friendly smiling face, decent body. Overall looks wise I'd say 5-6. I did 30 min and would put the massage at a 6 - better than many of these types of places, with some effort given and ok technique. Also pretty close to 94 if that's helpful for you. I wouldn't rush back there tomorrow but I'd stop in occasionally. The other girl might be better or worse, no clue. There was no way any non-homeless, non-druggie would walk through that part of Howard. Then one day I saw security guards standing in that area and all the junk that had piled up was gone. I wonder if the LE cruiser is tied to that activity more than Relax. The construction on Howard might mean that's the only spot to park. This is just a guess since my last drive through that area 10+ days ago showed that the homeless dudes were back and so was the junk.

Visited the above referenced spa. An adorable provider named Annie or Anahi answered the door. She was less than five foot and had a cute body and had a beautiful smile. I gave her $70 for the hour. She had me lay on my back and gave me a regular massage. I was hoping and thinking I would get a foot massage, but she never once touched my feet. This was too bad as she had strong hands, and I would have liked a foot massage. She could not speak a lick of English, so I decided to not request one. Massage was brief and she started the slow tease on my back, but it was more a scratch than a tease.
They were really, really busy. Door rang four times while I was in there. This accounted for the rush experience. She requested $200 for FS and $100 for HJ. I ended up paying $140 for FS. Brief CBJ followed FS. The shag was fun, but she really was trying to hurry me out. She kept talking to someone outside. I am sure they were telling her to hurry me up since they were busy. That area will be scorched earth before too long. Shame - lot's of smaller businesses are just closing up. I really avoid this area now. Especially weekends and evenings. Crossed Howard and looked back to notice EVPD talking to some guy on the street 1-2 storefronts down from Relax. As I was meandering across the street, the guy jumped in his SUV and took off seemingly frustrated. The cops looked at each other and seemed to shrug it off. No idea what the issue was or why they were there but it seemed unrelated to Relax. Nonetheless, I decided to walk into the strip mall, south of Howard, instead of going straight to my car. Killed about 5-10 minutes, made my way near the train station and approached my car from another direction on Howard. By then EVPD was gone. Hopped in the car, laughed and counted my lucky stars. An adventure to say the least! As nice of a visit as it was, I don't think I'll be going back, ever!

It's gotten really bad this past year. While we still need to exercise caution. I still don't think they're there to pinch Relax.
I agree with the PING assessment-I wanted it to work for me. But it's too open. And inside there aren't separate rooms and the 'rooms' are separated by just a curttain.

Made an appointment for Ev. Church. Hadn't been there for a while so I didn't really care who I got. I wasn't all that worried as the line up there is generally good. Has anyone been to Sherman Spa lately?No, but I did stop in at the new K relocated down Central by the stadium. Had some free time last minute and decided to check it out. Fine for standard cheap AMP but would not repeat. Basic 50 yo Chinese lady. Perfectly nice lady but meh massage skills, meh finish, and I found no reason to do anything but close my eyes and imagine someone younger and prettier.

I was just recently t there as well at two of the spas and I noticed no difference in attitude and availability. Makes me question the article. I know the raids themselves happened, but if arrests were truly made, I don't think the girls would still be working, and the places would be shut down. At least that's how it is in Louisville, and in parts of Ohio. My Guess is they brought the girls in to question them, found nothing in terms of hard evidence, and let then go. I may be wrong, but I highly doubt actual arrests were made.
