All the talk about Olive Garden has piqued my interest in food Italian. However, this has also made me crave the Greek (no, not that one) from similarly named 'Olive Tree,' near Kahala Mall (the blue-shaded cover). I dunno its status now but will try to make a pass soon as it is al fresco dining, BYOB, and get plenty nice wahines; maybe got to wait for Tier 3/4. Relatively healthy food ample on the olive oil and big on flavors.

About time the day has arrived on Monday 30th that Kath k will be sentenced and on Tuesday 1st chief k and two other officers will be sentenced. Kath wrote a letter to the judge that she will take the jail time for her actions but let chief k and 2 officers NO jail time. There will be so many cases that kk was involved in and that a lot will be back in court but take many years to finally end. Maybe even longer than her sentence. So the chief still hasn't paid back the $250,000 and never will. This case will lead to more cases involving other officers and the prosecutors office once again. It all started when the Mccully bust took place in 2015 and then the shit hit the fan. Oh well, now to the Capitol Place incident that involved his bail and out he goes after posting $500,000.

The bail is $500,000. The family paid the bail bond company $50,000 and the bail bond company puts up 450,000 to free him. When he goes to trial, the state gives the money back to the bail bond company and they keep the 50,000 extra as their payment? But if the guy skips out, then the bail bond company is screwed out of 450,000.
If this is correct, and the family is loaded, why not get a home equity loan on one of their multi million dollar homes instead of giving away 50 k?
And does the bail bond company really have 450,000 cash on hand, or do they put up only a % of the total bail? I sure wouldn't risk 450,000 of my money on this guy.

What is disturbing to me is the way our elections are done. According to the motion filed by (prosecutor) Puu, the woman's friend introduced her to Hirokawa at a restaurant. They engaged in conversation and exchanged phone numbers before the women left.
Later that night, the victim and Hirokawa texted and agreed to meet, court documents said. A taxi took her to an office building where he was allegedly drinking alcohol heavily with a male friend and appeared to "doze off periodically".
The victim drove Hirokawa's car and took him to his apartment building. He invited her to his place, where she had a sip of wine. The victim then told Hirokawa she needed to leave, when he allegedly forced her into his bedroom. The victim resisted when he allegedly overpowered her, choked her and sexually assaulted her.
At some point, she managed to get off the bed, when Hirokawa allegedly choked her again, stomped on her head and repeatedly punched her genital area.
Court documents said Hirokawa eventually stopped and fell asleep. The victim then exited the apartment naked and entered an elevator, where she crumpled to the floor.
Building security personnel saw the woman via a surveillance video at about 2:05 a.m. They accessed control of the elevator and directed it the lobby floor. Police arrived after the victim managed to tell security Hirokawa's location.
In the unit, police observed a trail of blood leading to the bedroom, where officers found Hirokawa sleeping. Police said there was a substantial amount of blood on the bed sheets, floor and walls, and on Hirokawa's hands. Officers arrested him.
Court documents said the victim went into hemorrhagic shock and was taken in critical condition to The Queens Medical Center. She had a blood transfusion and underwent emergency surgery for a severe wound to her genital area. Puu said the woman remains hospitalized. The prosecution is also reportedly concerned that Hirokawa may have used a weapon during the incident.
But it seems they think that human trafficking is only about prostitution and nothing to do about with Fishermen, farm laborers, or garment workers being held against their will. If it is legal to have fishermen, and farm workers, how is it that prostitution must be illegal in order to prevent human trafficking? I don't follow their logic.The definitions of prostitution and human trafficking sometimes overlap but may be quite different from the realities of both (that's why no make sense). What may seem like one choice may not be; reasons for working KB, AMP, labor, fishing, etc. , may have behind-the-scenes obligations. I don't think none of the workers are there against their will. The owner (s) always has a license to operate but its her workers that she accommodates that don't have the LICENSE TO WORK. If women are really equal to men, there should be no division of sports, but the reality is that men are naturally faster and stronger. You do realize the Patriot Act today is not the same same as it was in 2001? It was looked at and reduced by a lot in 2015, two years after Tulsi took office. She jumps on issues that will get her name in the news, and misrepresent what the issues are, leaving put common sense. Have any adventurous mongers seen evidence of "prostitution" occurring in that area?I don't think a monger will want a girl to do the deed in a homeless camp.
