It was probably Sanho. The article says -.
"The Prosecutor's Office said evidence showed that the illegal activity may have moved to the home after a massage parlor on Queen Street in Kakaako was previously shut down. ".
"They cited text threads on adult Internet sites where massage parlor customers were directed to the St. Louis Heights home. ".
"I parked by the St. Louis back gate and rode my e-bike up," wrote one patron. ".
Sanho was previously located on Queen St. And I believe this last quote was posted in the Sanho thread, post #871. They also haven't posted an ad on Cityxguide in a while. Looks like LE really is monitoring the site intently. On 98.5 FM they mentioned this site so it's public knowledge.

Strange men? Isn't that a little prejudiced? I take umbrage to that label. They crack down on short term rentals because they don't like noisy tourists in their neighborhood, and now they get quiet strange men, LOL.

Strange men? Isn't that a little prejudiced? I take umbrage to that label.Upper middle class town. Not super rich town that can fence the whole area.
A lot of lucky busybody ladies that can stay at home all day caring about everything everyone cause their rich husbands are making them never worry about financial pressure.
Sanho should have chosen place with old vets with hearing trouble. Those old men are just callous of bullshit drama around them.
Sanho should have chosen place with old vets with hearing trouble. Those old men are just callous of bullshit drama around them.Yeah Sanho should move to a veteran housing complex like the one in Barbers Point. I used to stay there for a couple years and yeah some veterans used to pass her around during nights when the staff went home. Everything was cool until some brain-washed religious "I've seen the Light" veteran moved in and ratted on the other veterans.
Rates were cheap, $20 for HJ, hell even the secutary down stairs was a stripper and couple guys were hitting that after working hours. Most of the vets stay home and watch porn, so they are plenty horny.

Some of the reading in this article is pretty funny. The things and numbers they come up with are hilarious. 700 illicit massage parlors? Transnational organized crime? And apparently I need to look on Groupon more often. Maybe Happiness has a coupon I can use next time.

Massage parlors are easy targets but these women come and go pretty much as they please from what I see. No one underage here. They're all milfs. Only thing would be taxed. Get real! Leave these women alone! They're trying to make a living!

Those who had hoped that the focus on AMPs would go away, don't hold your breath. This will continue to at least Election Day 2020. Start building that escort reference list, and clearing their screening process. Some of my atf (who still stay in hawaii) say they may do home-visiting outcall if the regular is reliable one. They could do so cause they don't need a lot of money and have no debt or gambling habit.
Said small low key places might close in novemver and December.
Planned house AMP but sanho raid ruined all plans.
Some will retire or go to mainland. One girl joked she was trying to be nice to her ex-to-be husband for insurance.
Looks like LE really is monitoring the site intently. Why? To what end? To gather information that they cannot use in any way? They like you guys to think so because then you stop sharing information. What happens is the neighbors of the chicks call the cops because of the traffic in and out. The cops long knew about everything that gets posted on this forum before any of you guys do.
How do you take back the forum? Senior members like you stop spreading fear, unbunch your panties and post.
19 years, 2,000,000 posts not one post has ever been used in court or to get a warrant. Real, verifiable evidence is what you need to get warrants and introduce in court. Not some guy named I luv pussy who posts on and anonymous message board.
I wish you guys would stop spreading this bullshit.

Dear Admin. What do you think about starting a thread about working towards the decriminalization sex work in Hawaii? All this law enforcement activity targeting these girls really pisses the fuck out of me and I am certain it fucking pisses all of you off too. All these women are trying to do is make money and I fucking hate it that our government is seizing their hard earned assets and making them criminals. All we want to do is fuck these women. Why the fuck is that illegal? I think there are a lot of us out there. We aren't a bunch of fucking criminals. We are just normal people who like to fuck women and don't mind paying for it. I know there are organizations out there working for commercial sex worker rights and the decriminalization of sex work. It might be valuable to start a thread so we can post info regarding this topic and organize political action to stop this bullshit. Or maybe this is a stupid idea. If you think it is a good idea, please start a new thread. If not, no worries. I'm just fucking pissed and would like to do something constructive about it.
Any Senior Member could start that thread

A2Agree. They are targeting the massage parlors due to the whole war on drugs taking a down turn. They raid the massage parlors to take the money and hassle the workers. They were making over 1,000 arrests for weed in 2016. All of this has dried up. It is a $130 fine now for weed. Now they are targeting the massage parlors. Really? How hard is this to do. They should remove the laws for this. They are being fund by the massive trust fund out of Texas by the hunt family. Political action is needed. Does this really need to be criminalized in 2019? Don't think so and a decriminalization thread would be great.

If I'm punching you in the face while I'm telling you I'm not punching you in the face does that mean I'm not actually punching you in the face?
You're telling guys that the cops used the forum to put together the info to bust this place, that's not what happened. The neighbors complained because the chicks were selling pussy at home and tons of guys were coming in and out. The cops observed but obviously didn't send in any undercovers because they didn't bust anybody they just shut it down because the neighbors were complaining.
What I don't need is guys like you who post once a month telling guys why bad things happen when you post so I wish you the best but you're done here.

I wasn't in any way attacking this forum or saying "Watch out, don't post or they'll get you" but just stating what I see.

I'm starting to think you're one of them and that's why I'm banning you. You are directing guys to a news article about chicks getting busted from reports on the forum and the article literally says:
No arrest were made, but the investigation was sparked by complaints from several neighbors.
https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/video/2019/10/04/suspected-brothel-st-louis-heights-is-raided-by-authorities/
Right at the top of the article you couldn't have missed it.
THE INVESTIGATION WAS SPARKED BY COMPLAINTS FROM SEVERAL NEIGHBORS
The cops didn't use the forum the news did to fill out the story.
My question is, who REALLY wants people to be afraid of using this forum? Yeah, cops and hookers. Hookers because when you guys aren't uninformed and afraid you pay less money and cops because they FUCKING HATE that everything here is inadmissible.
Once you got shut down making guys afraid to post you took this bullshit to PM
So now you're gone. I know you will be back but we have really good filters for guys like you who are working to get the forum shut down and I'll ban you again.

Then prohibition ended and all those cops were idle so they put them to work on dope along with a huge advertising push for the evils of drugs. At that time in Hawaii there was a thriving red light district. Now weed is legal and the cops are dormant so they have to go after something. Along comes "trafficking" and they are back to work beating in people's heads and just like dope the facts are on our side. Amnesty International says that the first thing that needs to happen to stop human trafficking is the decriminalization of sex work the world over. Cops like busting hookers because they get to strap up and pretend to be men while they kick in the door of a 50 year old 5 foot tall 90 pound Asian grandmother.

A2I knew of a friend who was assigned as HPD special unit that usually are the first to kick in the doors for other agencies like the DEA. He said that it was always them going in first and getting shot at, while the DEA stood back and only entered when the place was secure. Unfortunately LE wants the easy non risky assignments rather than go after the criminals who are high and nuts to pull the trigger. Granny with her walker are far better opportunities then the real criminals who sit in ivory towers smoking Cuban cigars, with penthouse hot chicks sucking his cock while ripping off taxpayers with massive $million or billions because they are afraid of those with political pull.

Best to keep around the girls you trust. When texting them, just ask if they're available to go out on a "date", and no talking about the dirty deed on the phone. Also best to just appear as a couple having sex in a lovers motel rather than a John with an obvious prostitute in a hotel.
There's a sites out there with info on how to spot undercover cops, and how to avoid getting stung. One advice was to avoid talking about sex and money with your provider. Another piece was to change the location on the last minute (cops are never OK with that).

We don't have many option here now but more will leave I think.
Here is a link to the World Health Orginization's (WHO) position on commercial sex work. The who advocates decriminalization of commercial sex work to protect sex workers from violence.
https://www.who.int/hiv/pub/sti/sex_worker_implementation/swit_chpt2.pdf
Reading articles in the Advertiser and the Maui Police Department's and the HPD's press releases, it is my impression that the reason the police are busting down doors at massage establishments and arresting sex workers is to protect them from being chained to walls, being coerced, and being subject to violence. Unfortunately for the sex workers, it is actions such as the ones the police are taking that make them more vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.
When is Hawaii going to re-evaluate its laws regarding commercial sex work and set public policy based on facts and public health. The WHO is a legitimate and well respected organization. The WHO advocates decriminalization based on facts and public health. Why aren't Hawaii's law enforcement agencies and newspapers concerned about what is actually in the best interest of these women instead of just going after easy targets or publishing alarmist front page articles to sell newspapers.
I was a gtg this past weekend with some friends for a kids b-day party. Anyways, a close knit group of us were drinking in the corner and got on the topic of getting busted doing something or being someplace you weren't supposed to be by your SO. It was pretty enlightening, as the following examples are all true occurrences and I wanted to share some stuff with fellow mongers. Especially due to the fact that we may all come under more scrutiny because of the SA article that someone posted earlier.
1) Car getting towed. Car was under wife's name and the only way the towing company would release the car was if the registered owner came to get it. Wife had to go to the tow yard and my friend had to explain why he was at a certain strip club.
2) Parking lot issue. Car was registered jointly (husband and wife) and a surveillance camera pic was sent to the home (which the wife saw first) where the husband may have damaged the parking lot property hitting an object (HPD was called). He was at his FWB's condo.
3) Parking lot issue. Friend was at a known gambling establishment with a jointly owned car, and him and the wife were later contacted by HPD. Luckily, his wife knew he went there.
4) Accident. Friend was taking a bar girl home after she finished work. Someone rear ended them and since the car was jointly owned, it was revealed later that he had a chick in the car with him at the time of the accident since the GF had to go to court too since she was the joint owner of the car (the person who hit him from behind contested the ticket and accident).
5) Accident. Friend was at a certain massage establishment's parking structure with his company car and someone hit the car by accident. Since it was all general parking, the police or the individual could not have known where my friend was, thus they called the registered owner (company) and told them what had happened. Since he was also supposed be at work at the time, and worked for the wife's family, there was a lot of explaining to do.
Moral of the story: Please be careful out there when mongering, because unless you have the car registered solely to yourself and / or a under a different address, there could come a time when your SO finds out something you didn't want her to. This especially worrisome if the cameras at places like CC go active, you get towed from CC or a place like Happiness, of if you innocently get caught up in something you had nothing to do with (wrong time, wrong place). Since most of us use parking passes at CC, it could come back to haunt us since the cameras could catch the plates of cars parked in the specific spots along with the cameras at the parking attendant booth, which could be catching our faces.
BTW, please don't flame me on my post, as it was meant to be purely informational for anyone who wanted to read it. Thanks!
HT.
I suggest parking at the more clean business place next door, and use that as the excuse.
A trip to Happyiness can be covered with an reason like a stop over at Palama, Donkey, or even 24 Hour. Kison was next to Times. Pine Tree was near Walmart and the 8 Korean supermarket.
Sometimes you got to park a little further, and walk a bit more to cover your tracks. But try to stay safe.
Buy something there too to make it look legit.

Very very goooood reason that government must care about.

I remember SA not long ago wrote about 38 M something dark flow a year in massage parlor. The SA is completely biased and basically just parrots law enforcement when it comes to articles related to sex work. But you do bring up a great reason for the government to legalise. So they can collect tax money from it!

Yup we all need to stay one step ahead of things! Thanks!

I remember SA not long ago wrote about 38 M something dark flow a year in massage parlor. There is no way the state of Hawaii will ever let anyone with an ounce of entrepreneurial sense make any money. It's the plantation mentality that's institutionalized in every level of business and politics, especially when it comes to industries that could mean real economic mobility like sex work.
Don't believe me? Consider that the state's given a duopoly on medical marijuana cultivation, processing, distribution and retailing to two entities in each county. They'd never legalize or decriminalize prostitution and if they did, you’d have to be extremely well connected to get in on the action.

Quoting the article:
"CC now has a camera on every floor," the person texted. "Be careful to go there. ".
Anonymity is crucial because research has shown that the majority of men who patronize brothels are married or have partners, according to Jabola-Carolus.
Both of these sentences caught my attention in the newspaper article. The first is simply irritating because having additional cameras is an invasion of privacy for both CC residents and visitors. Are people being attacked or robbed around the elevators or in the hallways? If not, why the cameras? This second sentence caught my attention because I was asking myself how this person would know that. Who takes a survey regarding their relationship status when visiting an establishment? Hilarious.
Another stupid thing was their making an issue of cash only transactions. So what? There are lots of legitimate and logical reasons for using cash in transactions. I have a friend who owns a small shop and offers me a discount when I buy things. I choose to pay in cash for numerous reasons. Firstly, every time a credit or debit card is used, the card company charges a fee for its use that is probably in the 1%-3% range if not more. Since my purchase discount already decreases the shop's profit margin, why should I make my friend have to pay that additional fee? Also, you have to buy, rent, or lease equipment to handle card transactions. Some business owners do not want to bother with this. If they accept checks, how would they know the check will not bounce? Cash ensures that you get paid for your transaction. Also, anytime you pay with a card or check, there is a record of the transaction. Why should anyone have to know how many ice cream cones or Jamba Juice drinks I consume in a month? (Usually zero, but it is none of anyone else's business.) As another example, sometimes when I go to a local or Mom and Pop fast food place or even a convenience store, I pay in cash so that I can have some loose change to leave as a tip or drop in the donation jar (e. G. 7-11). They get if faster that way rather than putting the tip on a credit or debit card.
Agreed. Last time I checked, there's no law that says a business has to take credit cards or electronic payments. If they want to go cash and only cash, that's their business. My vet gives me a discount if I pay with cash. Does that make the clinic he works at a front for illegal activity?
Also, last time I checked anonymity and privacy isn't a crime. The right to privacy is in the constitution, albeit being hacked away because of the "war on drugs", "national security" and "human trafficking".
BTW, did you know if you're a resident of Hawaii you can't hold Bitcoins? Not kidding. This fucking state. I bet they would ban cash transactions if it wasn't for the fact that bribes are easier to transact in cash.

This is from 2018. I remember when the SA published a front page story about this. Just posting these links as a reminder of the bullshit that is published about this topic. And it makes me wonder why this document is still posted on the Sate of Hawaii Department of Human Services website even though it is clearly deeply flawed and makes conclusions that aren't backed by any sort of real statistical analysis or scientifically designed study. The document is complete bullshit. Why is it still up?

Below is a link to a really interesting article.
Same thing that happened in mainland cities like Portland is now happening in Hawaii. In Portland this radical feminist group with truly bizarre ideas about sex and women bought the prosecutors office with a grant. This group then dictated public policy to the prosecutor and he went on a crusade against sex workers. This radical feminist group goes by either Demand Abolition or Cities Empowered Against Sexual Exploitation Network (CEASE) and is backed by this millionaire heiress Swanee Hunt from Texas. (I wonder if she is part of Hunt Corp. That got all the sweetheart deals to manage and buy land out at Barbers Point).
https://frontpageconfidential.com/swanee-hunt-sex-work-demand-abolition/
Now in 2018 the prosecutor in Hawaii got bought with a grant and now guess who is dictating public policy. Guess who is going on a crusade against women and sex workers. I guess now since Kaneshiro was too corrupt his minion Dwight Nadamoto has taken over the crusade. I think I remember seeing him in some SA photoshoots at the day spas him and his brave officers were busting into. What a prick. Election year is coming so tries to look tough by arresting some aunties at the spa. But I guess that is way safer and easier than actually going after criminals. I mean yikes, if they went after real criminals some officer might get a boo-boo and have to go on workers comp. Haha. And it's probably against union rules. Don't get me wrong, I love the police, really I do, but when they go after these women who are really just trying to make a living and get ahead, jeez, it just makes the cops look really really bad.
Anyway, the 2018 Hawaii grant was funnelled through the Feds but was really funded by you know who. And now you know who is calling the shots in Hawaii. Haha. It isn't the voters in Hawaii or our elected officials.

My apologies for posting links and writing about older issues but I want to keep these things fresh in our collective minds. I was just reading this article about our Hawaii legislators trying to pass anti-porn bills here in the 50th state in 2019.
https://www.civilbeat.org/2019/02/these-lawmakers-think-the-state-should-charge-20-to-unblock-porn-sites/
My first thought reading the article was: Mike Gabbard is still around? I thought he was voted out of office after his little anti-homosexual campaign a few years ago. I guess not. Huh.
My second thought was: Is Mike Gabbard a butthole? His picture seems to show that he is a man, but when I read what he had to say I became confused and I think he might actually be a butthole.
My third thought was: Holy shit, Rep Sam Kong also introduced an anti-porn bill. Is he also a butthole?
My forth thought was: OMG! Rep Sharon Har wanted to get in on the action and did an anti-porn bill too. Is she yet another butthole?
My fifth reaction was: There seems to be an awful lot of buttholes out there.
Anyway, my main takeaways from the article were that Mike Gabbard might not be a man but might actually be a gigantic butthole and that maybe we should stop electing buttholes here in Hawaii.

I thought he'd retired and slithered away with his tail between his legs. Anyways, the other day I was on Wikipedia researching Tulsi Gabbard, 2020 presidential candidate, and smoking hot piece of ass IMHO, and then from there I started wondering what the heck ever became of her wonderful dad. So he's involved with anti-porn legislation. Okay, but what sort of anti-porn we talking about here exactly? Turns out it has to do with restrictions on personal viewing of internet porn. At first I'm thinking, well, this has nothing to with me so why should I care one way or the other? The only internet pornography I ever view is the photo section here on USA Sex Guide! But then I suppose there's the problem, if they do pass whatever anti-porn bill, maybe this will become a foot in the door to further assaults on freedom, and eventually it could end up effecting the rest of us!

But after all this extremely disturbing stuff happening at HPD, yikes. The police chief tried to frame his own family. Can you imagine how often the cops here must be framing the general public. Fucking scary.
And then they have the nerve to try and deflect the public's attention from their own corruption by lying to the public in press releases and statements to the media to make it look like there is an epidemic of human "sex" trafficking here in Hawaii. But the fact is, there isn't. If there was, there would have been a massive number of human trafficking convictions after all the police raids at all these spas. But how many human trafficking convictions were there? 0. And how many human trafficking victims did the police rescue? 0.
Want to guess why there haven't been any human trafficking convictions. Want to guess why there haven't been any human trafficking victims rescued. It's because it isn't that common here in Hawaii. The cops are lying to us. Sadly it was all just another example of the police targeting the most vulnerable members of society because: 1. Sex workers are easy targets for the police, and 2. Sex workers are vulnerable due to their legal status and can't easily fight back.
Hey HPD, ever here of the word pono? I didn't think so.

Hey HPD, ever here of the word pono? I didn't think so.I totally agree that the Police in Hawaii are very corrupt -- especially the Pearl City Cops. Hopefully, the New Police Chief will put these crooked cops behind bars. If it doesn't happen, then we have to assume that we have another corrupt Police Chief taking bribes, etc.
Skepticism towards all news media. They do reveal a bias and utilize strong, inflammatory word usage to sway public opinion and attitude.
Per HPD investigation and work, there is trafficking OUT of the state much more than what we are led to believe going on in the state. It is sad how it happens and who it happens to, it's just not as much volume. We already know how flawed and illogical the Arizona farce study is, and that only exposes how much of a farce SJWs have become and have a death grip on that study. Like vegans on the China Study.

Then when I got married a long time ago. My parent that rised me told me HPD was in the fbi top 5 in the states for the most Corrupt police departments now think about that for how small the islands really are that's bad.
No forget still get pimps like the death row 2nd chance scum make their way here for easy trafficking of girls. And the biggest blatant Chinese connection at Empire and Mayflower. Dozens of girls allegedly trafficking here for years. Convictions yes. But they never get the head of the snake. Loverboys you know the real game it was a very, very dark and dangerous play exploiting girls. Glad and sad at the same time.
Problem is that they not good at catching the scum pimps and go fo easy target AMPs. You are right, HPD is CYA and lying to Hawaii.
Someone should call the HPD out and ask them for numbers.

Hey HPD, ever here of the word pono? I didn't think so.Well when you think about the people who apply to becoming cops, think about what kind of individuals are applying. This doesn't apply to all of HPD or LE but from my understanding it's guys with a chip on their shoulder, like the power / abuse and control for one reason or another, the biggest criminals themselves, or those who needed the job because of unforeseen cirunstances occurring at that moment. Again, this doesn't apply to some. What a shame though, wish they'd go find the real criminals out there instead of easy targets.
Don't you guys feel safer that HPD is busy busting mama-sans and hard working girls, instead of trying to stop the slew of violent muggings, car jacking, and armed robberies that have recently impacted our community? I don't know about you, but I feel much safer.
It's a lot easier carrying search and seizure of those dangerous massage establishments. It's way too difficult going after violent thugs. Thanks Honolulu's Finest. Keep up the good work.

This surge in crimes is an indirect result of the crackdown on massage places. The authorities have just opened pandoras box. How else will some of these guys vent their frustrations if these places are all gone.

Seriously though don't sexual crimes spike as a function of crackdowns?

Our judges like to let the criminals out to do more damage. Maybe commit a crime against a judge? Like extortion or run him / her over in a crosswalk? Hopefully they will keep the public safer.
Here is a link to a well written article about commercial sex work in New Zealand where it is completely legal.

I totally agree! Bring back the death penalty and watch crime rate go down.L used to be pro death penalty but seeing how the government abuse their power it's not such a good idea for our corrupted state where the chief of police and prosecutors are framing people. Crime rate will go down when the popo actually do their job instead of going after ***** house, ticket cellphone user and arrest peaceful protesters.
Here, I read plenty comments about police not doing their job or being corrupt. Yes no doubt, last CoP was corrupt or what not but that doesn't mean all the cops are same or dream to make extra money by corruption. Let's not forget that they are humans just like you & I. The crime is on rise and LE is not the one to be blamed for it, just like the name say, they enforce the law, nothing more, nothing less. It's the failure on law & judiciary system which is so lenient that criminals these days don't fear doing wrong.
Do you really think a PO wants to deal with a criminal on daily basis? I am sure he or she wants to put an end to that problem too but it's the weak law system that let's these people go out.
Also, regarding the comment about them raiding massage parlours, it's not the everyday cop that you see on the road decides to raid these places. 8/10 times they don't even know about it, it's the narco / vice that plans and execute all these raids. You are directing your anger towards wrong people, LOL.
Not trying to defend any wrong actions from LE but it's wrong to say that they are not doing their job. Maybe next time you see a crime or anything suspicious, try to find that courage to meet the LE and explain rather than staying anonymous and expect them appear like a genie and solve all the problems.

So cops can not send 5'5 130 lbs traffic cops or 200 lb fat sloppy men there.
Girls that confront raid told that those special guys had the best masculine body that they have ever seen.

It's not the cops fault, all of you voted in corrupt Kaneshiro, the liberal governor chooses liberal judges and criminals keep offending until the cops are FED UP and make these criminals LICK THE URINAL because that's all they understand. Enjoy the taste.

Thanks for sharing that. Interesting information about sealed indictments and police intimidation tactics. That attorney should run for office. Why run for office and get stressed out? Politicians here are not much better than you or I. It's just a popularity contest every 4 years.
Prostitution in Honolulu has been*sanctioned both legally and illegally by the Honolulu Police Department for centuries. *In 1860, the*"Act to Mitigate the Evils and diseases arising from Prostitution" was enacted by the Hawaii government, which provided for the registration of prostitutes around Honolulu.
By 1932 the*territorial government brought in William A. Gabrielson from California to be the Chief of Police and he would run the prostitution business with his Vice Squad. *Gabrielson had full cooperation from the military and local population as everyone believed it was a*"necessary evil" to protect*tourists or*"virtuous*visitors" in Waikiki and*"proper girls" of prominent local families from some 20,000*unmarried military troops and 70,000 Filipino men working on plantations looking for love.
To keep everything controlled there was no streetwalking of*"ladies of the evening", all transactions were done in brothels or*"factories",*which were located in the Iwilei area where Home Depot and Lowe's now stand. *In 1917 they were all moved to the new*"Red Light District", which was a half of square mile from Hotel, River, Berentania, and Kukui Streets. *The women were run by Madams or "landladies" so as better to control the income and get the kickbacks to the Vice Squad for*"it's protection".
When new sex workers were needed, the Madams would send*mail orders to San Francisco or Los Angeles for*"the desired goods". The rates paid were from $500 to $1,000 ($9,000 to $18,000 in today's dollars)*to a*"broker"; translation, pimp,*depending on the age and*"freshness" of the girl. Younger girls were the most*desirable and many were between 15 to 17 years of age. The girls received none of these*"fees".
When*the steamship arrived into Honolulu Harbor, the ladies were met by a detective of the Vice Squad and taken downtown to the "receiving station" at the Blaisdell Hotel where they were photographed, fingerprinted, and told of the rules and regulations for them. Violations of these*doctrines they were told would be met with swift punishment of beatings, fines, imprisonment, and finally banishment.
In addition, all of the girls were taken to the police station on Bethel Street and given a Territorial tax book and a General Excise Tax license as they were now licensed as "entertainers. " *This license cost them each $1 per year. *Further, every girl was informed that at the end of each month the Vice Squad would come by to collect an unofficial tax of $30 from them. *Most of the Squad and some patrolmen would also come in for their weekly*"tip" of oral or*regular sex in exchange for not hassling the girls when they walked around Honolulu.
The girls paid Federal income taxes, as well as state taxes. "It has been said that (the) girls and*Madams*are the heaviest tax payers in Honolulu. Each girl in Honolulu can average from $4,000 per month to $5,000 per month ($70,000 to $90,000 in 2019) with each girl servicing 50 to 60*"clients" per day. Taxes are collected by the Madam of the house, who also files the returns for them. " (O'Hara) *This money was achieved because the ladies or*"inmates", a termed used by the police worked six days a week,*usually from 1 pm to 5 am for six months*straight before they were given time off for a vacation.
There were 18 brothels operating with an average of 11 women in each house in Honolulu and at these rates they were bringing in approximately $1,000,000 per month ($18,500,000 per month or over $220 million per year in today's dollars). *The estimated police's share, which greased many local politicians' palms was $4. 5 million a year (over $81 million in 2019), without any reports being required. *Everyone was getting fat and happy and the girls behaved under Gabrielson's iron fisted rule until World War II broke out and a pucky Irish woman stood up for her constitutional rights. *.
This rebellious Irish girl was Betty Jean O'Hara (pictured above) who was known as*"The Honolulu Harlot". *Ms. O'Hara*was a*professional prostitute and as author William Bradford Huie described her,*"that, physically, she had been almost perfectly assembled for the satisfaction of vigorous lust. " *.
After the war*broke out, the USA Army unofficially took over the prostitution business because with over 50,000+ soldiers now on island on any given day they wanted their soldiers to be relaxed and have*"good healthy recreation". As Winston*Churchill said of the British Royal Air Force, "Never. Have so many owed so much to so few". Under*miltiary*control, each girl was now servicing over 100 men per day. $3. 00 for 3 minutes or $5. 00 for 5 minutes and the girls could keep 2/3 of the money and not have to pay extortion money.
O'Hara a favorite of the officers, shined and created what is now known as the*"Bull Pen" to service the *"boys" on island. *She had the military set up a warehouse and each girl had her pen; three stalls, the first, the service man would walk into and disrobe, a nurse would check him for*venereal disease and he would get a condom, he would then go into stall 2 and have sex, the third stall was for washing, getting dressed, and then getting a shot of penicillin from another nurse as he walked out the door. *.
With the pens now working, O'Hara*often dressing her 39"-24"-36" body and standing 5' 10" tall in 6 inch ruby red stiletto heels, ruby lipstick, flaming long blonde hair draping her shoulders, and in a smoking hot red statin robe would*walk in and most of the soldiers whose average age was 21 were done before she even touched them. She would see up to 200 men a day. The money was good. She made over $600,000 ($9 million today) in her 3 years with the*military and purchased a lot of real*estate in both Honolulu and San Francisco. She drove a Lincoln*convertible and*partied at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki, which had been forbidden under Gabrielson. Life with freedom was good.
But in late 1944 with the war ending everything changed for her and the girls as the Army gave the business back to Gabrielson and his Vice Squad. *The police and many locals hungry for the*extortion money they had lost in the war were very*anxious for control to return to them. Everyone except O'Hara. She defied the police's rules and conditions*and stated she was a*taxpayer with rights. In response, the Chief had his men go to her brothel, beat her black and blue in front of the other girls to establish fear. They broke two of her ribs and dragged her off to jail for four days.
However, instead of succumbing to*intimidation and the Squad's brutality, O'Hara fought back and filed a $100,000 lawsuit against the Police department and Gabrielson. The lawsuit was dropped after the Chief apologized. But now with hatred over a*"Tramp" forcing him to publicly apologize and*defy his power, he had her arrested a few months later on trumped up charges of attempted murder. For weeks all the sordid details of life as a prostitute in Honolulu was exposed to the*"good people" of Honolulu in the press. In the end it only took the jury five minutes to find her not guilty. *Chief Gabrielson was humiliated and forced to resign within a year. *.
O'Hara now very wealthy, quit the business and retired to San Francisco where she*wrote a booklet exposing the graft and*corruption of prostitution in Hawaii in 1944*titled,*" My Life As A Honolulu Prostitute". *William Bradford Huie,*one of the most successful American journalists and authors of the 20th century who had written twenty-one books that sold over 30 million copies worldwide. *knew her*personally*and*wrote the novel,*"The Revolt of Mamie Stover" in 1951*based very tightly on her life. *The book sold over one million copies and was subsequently made into a hit movie in 1956 starting Jane Russell. *.
The*Territorial government fearing this*publicity would ruin their chances for future Statehood voted to make prostitution illegal in 1946 and all brothels were closed. However, as we all know, prostitution and sex trafficking*being*"the oldest profession in the world", continues to thrive and profit in Hawaii*with the high demand for entertainers for tourists. And as for Betty Jean O'Hara. She died in 1973 at the age of 60.Her*legacy lives on; a hated ***** by the cops of Honolulu, a hero for sex workers of her day, and the best sexual fantasy of many a serviceman who fought the war to end all wars.

Good read, good.

Bro,
The media control was in high gear when the city and county got hacked twice and they called it a software upgrade. Media control also when the Governor never ever answered the question of his invisibility for 34 minutes during the missile fuck up. Or the fact that he spent 3 days in Seattle on our ticket touring Microsoft for his personal fun--did the media report on that? That shit all is the real media manipulation, or as the world leader would say, fake news.

I think there's more than what being said.Brothers, With the advent of air travel, people from across the world are faster at crossing oceans and continents within five+ hours. Seems fast but its enough time to spread the virus. Locally, when I schedule for a massage I ask if the massage table covers were changed from last customers. Someone breathing through, coughing and sneezing headrest could leave behind contagion IMHO. As a precaution, I ask for additional cover when in doubt, especially the businesses that really don't specialize in massage therapy. Additionally, I have hand sanitizer in car and personal travel wipes in pocket. Key for me is to limit transference from hands to any areas of body with membrane such as mouth, nose and eyes. Additionally I am on daily 1000 ml Vitamin C regimen along with daily Zinc requirements. Working out in outdoors and avoiding crowded indoors such as gyms, etc, as my personal regimen to avoid enclosed crowds. Might seem extreme but its my personal protective measures to limit exposures and keep a healthy front line. This Corona Virus is currently being examined for a cure but in meantime, for me, its public enemy no. 1 and not to be taken for granted IMHO. Be safe and remain vigilant.
Your leader knew about the infected tourist early, but held back the information then try to downplay it. This manipulation throughout entire tenure where stories get shut down pretty quick with no explanation or follow up. Tell your politician to answer what happened to the recycle tax we all still paying since we no recycle anymore? What about the tobacco tax--I no see any effort to stop smoking in teens. And the $60 million of our money for tax system fuck up another pet project gone bad, like the missile crisis--are we ever going to know what really happened in both of these? If you keeping score, this is the worse track record on record of any administration. Media is a puppet here.

We have lots of girls from mainland China (I am in CA) - but missing good Japanese and Korean girls.

https://www.kitv.com/story/41843595/maui-police-make-10-arrests-in-prostitution-investigationAh. The MPD Morals Unit. A group of people that has dedicated their careers to making you and I criminals. Too bad they don't care about crimes that are actually harmful and do something like set up stings to catch pedophiles instead of arresting men that just want to get their balls sucked by a consenting adult. Seems to me that the MPD Morals Unit might kinda be a bunch of parasitic shitbags.
Stay safe everyone alot of girls coming from all over not sure how safe it is now.

Politicians and LE shut them all down before people even know it's open. There was a moratorium on hostess bar licenses for the longest time. They just decided a few years ago to allow more licenses. Unfortunately, bars are so slow now that no one tries to open new ones. Politicians and LE have nothing else to do but prevent people from having any type of adult fun. After all, they know what's best for us. Apparently we can't make those kinds of decisions. Do nothing, self righteous politicians.
Acting Honolulu Prosecutor Dwight Nadamoto (who took over after Honolulu Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro was named a target of a federal grand jury investigation) has announced that he will be running in the upcoming election for Honolulu Prosecutor.
Nadamoto declares that if elected, one of his priorities will be "aggressively pursuing sex traffickers".
Translated into the truth, that means he mostly would be aggressively pursuing adult women who voluntarily offer consensual, compensated sexual services, and women who operate such businesses.

He also said he will stop the revolving door of criminals ending up back on the street. If he hasn't done anything now why would we think it would change if he gets elected?

Nadamoto had his chance to make change and have an impact and he never come through, now he wants to be boss fat chance. Too many good old boys still in play sadly Hawaii no learn.
This is one change we can and should make- vote for one who goes really going make Hawaii safer from real career criminals and stop the kids from becoming career criminals. We got super soft on the kids now they run around in gangs and commit crimes with no consequence. No believe me? Watch the Ewa beach kids who beat the man get off with a slap on their wrist and promise never to commit another crime--they will be back guaranteed. Choose well when voting for new blood.

One of the reasons why people say prostitution is bad is because it "attracts criminal elements" and "encourages human trafficking".
Well, if prostitution was legal, girls could work independently and under their own freewill, removing the needs for mama-sans and pimps. Because prostitution is illegal, girls need to be trafficked in by these networks and essentially become trapped by the very people who brought them in.
Honestly, if prostitution was legal, 18-21 year-old lady's could immigrate here without fear, literally make a few million before 25-30, while going to college, and begin a completely new life. Instead, all of this back-channel prostitution economics creates an unsafe atmosphere for everyone, including mongers and LE's. Check out "FKK clubs" in Germany or the legal brothels in Nevada. Nothing says "safe" more than a girl being able to leave the industry at any time, operate in a safe environment when they work, and pay taxes like any normal person.
I'm more worried about being robbed by a criminal with a gun, when my gun cannot leave the house 99% of the times I go out. There's also still gangs of children going around robbing people and stealing from stores. Why doesn't the next prosecutor worry about those things if they are unable to come to terms with a legal sex industry. Besides, why do the arguments for open borders and sanctuary states not apply to the sex industry? Aren't Hawaii and California blue states?

Hawaii the whole state and Dallas, tx allow "24 hours relaxation" permit and collect tax. And worry nasty civilians enjoy prostitution. Here and Dallas no need to make fake tanning salon, fake massage center, fake whatever. And funny that Honolulu and Dallas is most avoidable spot for AMP women in mainland cause too much bb pressure.

I was getting a legit massage at my go to place in the Century Square last night. I kept thinking about the virus with my face in the head cradle, so I switched to a pillow but I still couldn't relax. I know the chances are slim that I'll contract something at this point in time, but if and when the virus actually spreads these shops will be hurting or closing down. I don't know if some massage shops are already slow, due to the news?

About that neck cradle or face rest. I believe that I caught the flu that way before. Many of the folding tables have a metal bar going horizontally across the face hole that has touched my face and mouth when starting to fall asleep. With the virus going on now it's maybe wise to bring some type of face pillow like the ones that inflate for traveling. The extra thickness may prevent mouth from contacting the metal rod.
Stay safe.

https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/video/2020/04/01/morning-beat-hawaii-supreme-court-considers-releasing-hundreds-inmates-amid-covid-pandemic/
According to the news and media. They are releasing prisoner across the USA. The prisons official are afraid that there will be riots inside the prisons that they can't control once the pandemic gets out of control with looter and rioters on the streets. This is why the military has been deployed. Why deploy military to control a riot and situation that the government is creating?
Besides America did any other country release prisoners as part of the COVID19 plan?
And why are they imprisoning and fining civilians for breaking quarantine rules? Sound dumb to jail citizens who made minor offense of breaking quarantine rules, while releasing killers, violent criminals.

Drive-Thru Strip Club Serves Up Sexy And Safe Solution For Coronavirus Blues.
Lucky Devil Lounge in Oregon has come up with yet another innovative, fun and sexy idea to keep income and customers coming during the pandemic.
Shon Boulden shouldn't be all that busy these days. He owns two strip clubs in Portland, Oregon, both of which were deemed "nonessential" in March, along with many other businesses in the state, and were ordered to close due to the spread of COVID-19.
But when HuffPost spoke to him late last week, he was working overtime to juggle media requests and prepare for another weekend of "Drive Thru Food 2 Go-Go," a drive-thru version of his club Lucky Devil Lounge that he recently launched, to lines around the block.
Boulden, his clubs and employees first made headlines in March when, as a way to stay open and continue to bring in income during the government-mandated shelter-in-place order, dancers from the clubs began working as delivery people, with security guards serving as drivers. Many orders and one cease-and-desist letter from Uber later (Boober Eats was the service's original name), they've now come up with an even more revved up tactic to keep business booming.
"Since food delivery started we've had a lot of local businesses showing us support and wanting to collaborate," Boulden said. "A local event company that sets up stages, tents, things like that, called us and were like, 'We're out of business, we're not doing anything'. They offered to build us a huge tent, two stages, a DJ booth, a couple of stripper poles with lights, lasers, fog machines and were like, we'll just see how it goes".
Here's how the new drive-thru works: You pay $30 to enter and can order any food item off the menu. Once inside the tent, you're treated to a full show, from a group of (masked, of course) dancers. They do a song or two for each car, and then they send you on your way with your food. There are tip buckets set up inside, and the dancers even have devices normally used to collect trash that allow them to collect tips from a distance.
The drive-thru has proven even more lucrative than the original food delivery program, though they're still providing that service, too.
"We had a nonstop line of cars wrapped around our parking lot Saturday night," Boulden said, adding that the new attraction is drawing visitors from beyond just the Portland area.
"We had a carload of girls from Seattle, two and a half hours away, do a road trip down to Portland to our drive-thru just to get some food and see this going on," Boulden said. "It's crazy".
For the employees, Food 2 Go-Go is more than just a way to keep money coming in, it's a way to get back to some sense of normalcy and creativity as Brodie, who celebrated her birthday on stage last week, explained.
"It feels amazing. It's still not enough, but it feels so good to move," she said. "I woke up the next day and was actually sore, it had been so long (since I last danced). I just need this right now".
Toxic, who also works at Lucky Devil Lounge, told HuffPost that it's also been a way to help deal with some of the negative mental effects that self-isolation has caused.
"It's helped my mood and my anxiety and depression during this entire pandemic because I get to have some type of artistic expression again," she said. "It's great to feel sexy, I just feel really invigorated".
And she said that feeling translates to the crowds of cars showing up to the drive-thru, too.
"You can just see our customers' smiles, I'm really happy we have this option for people," she said. "It's even more exciting than the deliveries because they're getting out of the house. It's really nice".

That's an interesting take and you may not be wrong.
Renters can't pay rent, so landlords can't pay mortgages so banks are left with worthless loans. It's a cascade effect and it's being discussed openly in commercial real estate circles right now.
Meanwhile, you have renters who are willing to pay cash, maybe even pay above market. Landlords see them as desirable tenants, put pressure on the city and council to stop the raids (or redirect their attention to streetwalkers and pimps).
Real estate developers have one of the largest lobbies in Hawaii, after all.
Hawaii is in a bad financial situation. Raids only create more hardship for this economy. How are they going to pay the rent if people cannot work?

NOTE, to the unlicensed workers is just as important but owners will do it because other business are doing the same. You only get your business in trouble when rules are in place and you decide not to follow these guidelines. Some shops will be soon out the door and that's good news for the businesses that have licensed workers. Times are changing, change the way you run your business.

Taipei, May 21 (CNA) A total of 14 hostess clubs and ballrooms in Taipei have received approval to reopen after passing all relevant government safety inspections, the city's Office of Commerce announced on Thursday.
The authorities will monitor the venues closely to ensure they follow guidelines designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), the office said.
On April 9, the CECC ordered hostess clubs across the country closed, saying they posed a high risk of spreading COVID-19 after a hostess at a club in Taipei was confirmed to have the disease.
In view of the easing coronavirus situation, Health Minister, who heads the CECC, announced on May 8 that local governments can decide whether to reopen their cities' hostess clubs under certain conditions.
Based on the CECC guidelines, businesses are required to ask that customers follow social distancing measures, wear face masks, have their temperature taken, and make sure they use hand sanitizer before entering.
The clubs will also be required to keep a register of the names and National I'd card numbers of customers.
Forty-six of these operators applied on Wednesday for a business resumption permit, and were instructed on how to use a mobile app designed to register customers' identities, which then have to be uploaded to the city government's data cloud.
According to Taipei Deputy Mayor, the purpose of the app is to identify the source in the event of COVID-19 infection.
Also Thursday, the office said those caught breaching the CECC guidelines will be fined NT $3,000 - NT $15,000 in accordance with the Communicable Disease Control Act.
Businesses can also have their license revoked for a month after three repeat offenses.

Much lower than I thought.
When money go dry, they will leave Hawaii and won't miss at all. Mainland has a lot of financial, it, manufacture, farming town that can survive while in coronavirus world. And easy to move from one state to another without leaving tsa record. Good option if her I'd was checked at AMP. Many military is asked to not go out. If military is the reason for pros to stay, 10 minutes hard pounding for 200 can be standard.
Plus, beach spa, those low key spots may close permanently as soon as their lease is over. I am not sure any from that places will be back or not. They have been extremely cautious to not be noticed. Happiness and blue star? Maybe shut down. Kison will not come back. Forget young st and Wong building when their landlords are in trouble with irs now. To open hula, owner must prove at least 300 K income for last three years.
China town and cc can be the only choice soon.
Chanel 4 newss this morning had an item about busts in Century Center. They were not based directly on prostitution charges but for violating social distancing directives. I thought this was a petty misdemeanor but I guess it's a lot eashier (and safer) for LE to use as an excuse to shut places down.

Do nothing about property crime but they have time and manpower for this? Did a provider refused Nadamoto's love? One of the owner forgot to comp him?

And none of these pigs have the guts to say: Hey boss, this ain't right that we harassing these women to make headlines.

What a bunch of worthless coward pigs. After questioning numerous AMP and MP workers during all the investigations/raids he's conducted the past 14 months, Nadamoto likely does realize the providers actually are not being trafficked. No matter, conducting the raids under the guise of "sex trafficking" makes good headlines, makes it look like he's doing a good job in the public's eye and will earn him brownie points for the upcoming election.
Wondering what happened to the ads for this group. Is this one of those in the bust? Haven't heard back from one of them and I have reached out several times. If someone can confirm if they got lit up by the popo?

If someone can confirm if they got lit up by the popo?Looks like the LE activity at CC has spooked many of the legit MT and non legit MT as Ads seems to have disappeared from most sites with exception of the Chinese Connection but probably be next on their list. I've texted called couple places but no reply so safe to assume they're laying low. Only places with active Ads are those rip off short time Thai places in Aiea and Pearl City side but YMMV. With under cover loitering around and their CCTV at all floors of Century Center, looks like that spot be off limits for most of us considering the climate and LE focus not including their poor enforcement with beach and park incidents as of late. Eventually a second wave be coming at rate of opening businesses and lack of quarantine oversight so we see how the State will handle an outbreak with limited medical treatment. This Virus is indiscriminate so everyone including Public, LE or Politicians will need to be careful. No one is immuned. Be safe out there.
You are right. Nadamoto clearly has an agenda here and it is to get elected by creating fake news headlines to make him look good. Don't fall for it and don't vote for him. Everybody with half a brain already figured out the only incident with trafficking conviction was EMPIRE. The other place busted for bribing a federal officer.
Somebody should point out the many local girls who get trafficked by mainland pimps was running out of control here until covid, and its not a Hawaii only problem. With all the money and attention on this with the girl boy and dickless Nadamoto still they no can leave a mark on this pimp problem, so they go after AMPs which today have no arrests or convictions for a while now.
Wish they would earn their keep and go after the real problem.

Umm upload my identity to government data cloud? I value my privacy more.I believe the COVID-19 reopening regulations will require restaurants, bars, hair & nail salons, and other medium risk businesses to maintain detailed logs of their customers which will be used by Government health departments for contact spread databases.
I think you may get shut out of many of these businesses if you refuse. Gyms will already have that information on file as soon as you check in, but restaurants, bars, and hair salons won't and will need that info. I suppose you could lie and give them fake info, however you may find yourself on the news like so many other tourists who refused to comply with quarantine laws.

Seems like they using presence of lots of condoms as evidence in raids. Guess we just got to bring our own from now on. Girls got to be smart and refuse if the guys don't have (or not). Put lube in unmarked squirt bottle. Boom. No more evidence.
Secondly, girls punching in / out would seem to circumvent the idea of personal vs business. I pay for massage she clock in. She clock out. Boom boom. Off the "clock". Not a business. She's just a shut. And eligible for unemployment LOL.
Except for the undercover. Like the one I saw leaving a place that may or may not have just got raided recently.

Even if you brought in your own, they still have to get rid of the used condom and any wrappers. Haha, unless you're willing to take it and discard it somewhere else. Can be a good reason for the AMP girls to go BB all the way.

Been reading the news and came across a great idea. Lots of cities and jurisdictions are pushing to cut funds from law enforcement budgets and instead take those funds and put the money in programs that actually help communities. Wouldn't that be great if our legislators and council members cut the law enforcement budgets in Hawaii by 20% and put that money into programs that actually made Hawaii better.
The government could easily cut some of these showboat police programs like the Maui Morals Unit and whatever unit Nadimoto is using to hassle old ladies at spas and instead use that money to fund programs to prevent sexual violence and sexual predators. The state legislature should audit these programs and find out how much money the State of Hawaii has paid Nadimoto and his agents for his crack down that hasn't uncovered or prevented one single case of human trafficking and in reality has just been an extended publicity stunt that Nadimoto is preforming (at tax payer expense) to try to get elected.
Cut the police budget. Audit and cut these showboat law enforcement programs that are actually harming women. Use the money saved to help and empower those that are most vulnerable.

It's a brave new world. Privacy is no longer a given.I agree, no privacy. There's a HIPPA rule that supposed to assure privacy for the patient. Then the director of Dept of Health goes on TV and gives such a detailed description of the person with Covid19 that people know exactly who it is. The person then becomes a pariah where they work and in the community. Contact tracing has little privacy. Someone of the many that interviews the patient will say something in public. Something to think about when giving up your privacy rights.
Many other places to cut, special interest and special funded programs all should be gone. Go ask where all the monies from special funded programs end up--its to pay constituents and get votes, pay back favours. Too many non-profits, too much welfare. Cut um all, and make tourism and military bigger and better than it is--we suck at tourism compared to the world. We also treat military like shit because that is what locals are taught. Much bigger problems exist we don't talk about enough so we can't fit um.

Now I've had my share of dealing with timebomb cops. Ones just looking for an excuse to whack me upside my pointy head with their long hard nightsticks. But getting rid of the cops will lead to it's own set of problems. A few years ago they tried taking money away from HPD. Cops responded by taking extra long to respond to calls or not coming at all. They said talk to the Mayor talk to the Governor, we're short staffed. Imagine you're in your favorite strip club or Korean bar and a group of knuckleheads start fighting. It's too much for security to handle and no police to call. I don't know about you but I don't go to these places to fight. Too old to do MMA fight night with them.

Some cities are talking about defund the police. I am totally against it. Our police chief said the department are not going to respond to some of the properties crimes cause the dept is lack of funding, that was before the police brutality crisis happened. Just think of a city without a police dept, crimes would raise, properties value would drop like a rock cause people would just move out without any police protection. Vigilantism justice and citizens would take the matter of their own hands. People likes to defund the police dept have no logic to it, just some crazy idea!

I agree, I can see everyday news media and tally of crimes, murders, deaths, etc. No can. This going be an interesting Mayor race, see who going BS on each other or just make empty promises. Will see. Hono1.Anyone who went to Ala Moana Center or Waikiki to shop were confronted with closed stores with plywood covering the windows. Some had their own guard.
Reminds me of the time I went to the Philippines a long time ago. Marcos had instituted martial law and curfew. ALL the stores and bars had their own guard out front. And of course there were gated communities with their own guards.
They should focus in property and violent crimes. Leave the harmless ladies alone.I, too, initially reacted negatively to a call to "defund the police". But the idea is that a lot of the law enforcement actions that we ask police to perform are not or should not be considered "criminal". One of the biggest issues is the criminal-ization of drug use. Back in the 70's and 80's gov't stance was to look at drug use as a criminal problem as apposed to a health / disease problem. So we are sending police to arrest addicts for possession instead of sending social workers to help treat them. Perhaps the same approach to should be taken with our hobby. If the real concern is for the safety and dignity of the sex worker, then send social workers and health inspectors to check out massage parlors instead of cops. And decriminalize the industry.
This has happened in the past. HPD used to issue parking citations. They still do, but for the most part parking clerks do that now.
Me personally, I hate HFD traffic enforcement. Why don't they just use cameras? If you get too many tickets for speeding, then a traffic clerk installs a GPS in your vehicle.
Why send cops for noise violations? Should be building inspectors. Maybe have HFD respond to those, since building / fire code / safety enforcement should be their responsibility.
Maybe HPD shouldn't be the FIRST RESPONDER for alot of these issues. Only the second responder when safety and imminent danger requires an elevated response.
"Defund the police" is probably a misnomer. A better term would be to "reallocate" the police.
With 5% of the world's population but 25% of the world's INCARCERATED population, the call really is to decriminalize alot of behavior in the USA, and do it fairly.
Got to use public pressure to get the police unions to reduce their membership and membership fee payers.
GG.
The fake news was in full swing with the weekend riots. You are correct, nobody reports on all the stores that took matters into their own hands to mitigate the broken glass and, well, blatant criminal activity so widespread and hard to say they not part of the same. Many, many stores along walks and Ala Moana boarded up and posted enforcement. Never saw a single report on this. Maybe, just maybe, the president has some cred calling out the totally biased media.

True, and more board up because of riots, as my friend had a gig boarding up a few of the stores quickly at Ala Moana center and Waikiki. Construction didn't get laid off, which was good for him.

Police Chief Ballard said HPD DOESN"T NEED reforms here? So why was former Chief Kealoha BIG news to the community? Why is he still out on vacation?
Ballard has the same blood line as the former. You think officers here are all good boys? Remember when Ballard was a Major at the academy for recruits and let some recruits get thru the system (pass test) and later the city had to pay this female officer because she was right and sued and won $$ and now retired.

As you said, she cover up the academy scam and paid off the whistle blower. Like cockroaches, when you see one, there's more behind the wall. Kealoha's boyz are still in charge of a large part of the force.
A new Chinese pig virus reported called G4 EA H1 N1 related to H1 N1. Antibodies found in Chinese pig farmers so may have been infected at some point. China had the African swine flu recently that wiped out most of their pork stock. Scientists worry about a potential new pandemic. Then there's cold water Dr Fauci saying country's going in the wrong direction and we might reach 100,000 corona virus cases a day. Another months long shutdown will surely bankrupt the rest of the businesses left standing. Maybe deep state rumors to keep the economy shutdown forever. Aren't we all worn out with all this negative news. What will we all talk about if everything's closed forever. Negative news sells but this is too much.
This is Election year and it's like he doesn't care if he wins or loses even tho I believe he really wants to win. Its like WTF he telling Bubba Wallace he needs to apologize when Bubba Wallace wasn't even the one to report the noose which BTW looked like a noose to me.

Megan is the hardest-line candidate (https://acluhi.org/sites/default/files/field_documents/honolulu_prosecutorial_candidate_survey.pdf) in the race, and believes in prosecuting everything exactly as according to the law, no prosecutorial discretion or leniency. She would not be sympathetic to this industry. If you want a more progressive candidate, vote for Esser or Alm.
This is good info, thanks. If Megan gets in, she going be too busy to deal with this industry, LOL.
We shall see, plenty time, lots more dirty politics will come up, this is Hawaii at its best, LOL. Like the mailer on the insider on Amemiya and what we already knew he is a puppet in the good ol boy network and already reaped financial gains. Would like to see more names on them who making lots of money doing the so called low income to save Hawaii bullshit. All them folk on the Keehi Lagoon gravy train making tons of money still. Amemiya wants to take schools make them low income housing so his people can make money--education no mean nothing to him, just make money for his pals, LOL.
Good start to a fun election.

Any got a letter from aloha aina oia'I'o. About Keith Amemiya. Holly shit. That's fu##ed up.
I am hoping everyone knows who started this mess called the RAIL who most people knew was going to cost ridiculous amount of money and look at how much its costing and notice Mufi doesn't mention shit about it. Ok so they say the Rail suppose to get less cars on the road let's be honest the amount of cars you see now you will see when that rail starts and now with most people working from home hows this rail looking now?

Faith with the pidgeon accent, haha.Ah, that Fate Yanagi, head cheerleader at Furtado Memorial High School; I looked back and the waves was so big, I knew my eggs was going be one omelet in the sky.
Was interesting to read the mailer about K. Amemiya; I think his father was Ron, former AG. I no think get one front runner for Honolulu mayor at this time, but some get close ties to the loser rail: Mufi (he when start the ball rolling on this project); Hanabusa (she was HART chair but bailed); Pine (rail all the way); maybe get others. Still early and I looking for someone on the apolitical side (and no go out with Mits Funai).

Megan Kau seems like a Nadimoto wanabe that's going to waste tax payer dollars prosecuting 40 year old ladies for giving hand jobs at the spa. So sick of people like her.
