So, given reports like these, about the conviction of two pimps being reinstated (http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/36558031/convictions-of-2-accused-pimps-reinstated-after-case-is-thrown-out) and the recent shooting over by the Alley Cat strip club, and the talk about the shooters involved being associated with pimps, I'm wondering if there's an ongoing sweep of the pimps in Waikiki going on by the HPD.

I have nothing concrete to back this up. It's just speculation. But given the drop in SW activity in Waikiki and that they're becoming more violent, and that the police have new powers under human trafficking laws, it's just something I've been thinking about and wondering lately.

No great loss if the HPD did have an open season on them, though.

Get that fucker out man!! See how the commission is already CORRUPTED before we even begin to select a new Chief? Waste time and money again. Just read we're going to be cleaning up the place AGAIN!! Why did you let them come back in after the first of many sweeps anyway? Dumb fucking city or state officials thinks money grows on trees. I don't visit there but a lot of you should be real concerned about your areas parks. If the homeless like to trash the place, destroy the light fixtures, toilets, water fountains etc. Ship their ASS out of there. I know that being homeless is NOT a crime but when you destroy city of state property then you've gone too far.I guess we cleared them out AGAIN and they moved across the street to the sidewalks. Isn't the sidewalk also banned from squatting? Glad I don't live near downtown but it must be a pain in the ass for you that see this shit daily. Oh well life goes on.

Election coming up, so none of the politicians going stick their neck out now.

Homeless under the wrong belief that they own the sidewalk and parks, no rules apply.

Mayor get sit lie law, state get homeless shuffle by Ige, LOL.

One lawmaker with balls going criminalize sleeping in public park and sidewalks without permit, and fine then arrest repeat offenders. Repeat offenders have option of jail or transition housing city on Maina Kea next to 30 m telescope. Who knows? Daily permits for a fee maybe we raise enough money from the homeless to pay for rail, LOL.

Also, she avoided the human trafficking charge because her girls said they were not forced to work for her.

The article said if anything it would be served concurrently though it also said she faces possible deportation. I wonder if she put-out to make her attorney work harder, or for the court to go easy on her like that.

Also, she avoided the human trafficking charge because her girls said they were not forced to work for her. Here's an Associated Press report that will explain the sentencing. I first saw this report on an Asian news website.

21-month sentence for Hawaii prostitution bribery case.

By JENNIFER SINCO KELLEHER Associated Press.

HONOLULU (AP) A woman found guilty of bribing federal agents in exchange for protecting her Hawaii massage parlor from prostitution raids was sentenced Tuesday to 21 months in prison.

A judge also sentenced Biyu Situ to three years' supervised release. A jury found her guilty in April of two counts of bribery.

She was arrested after Homeland Security investigators said she offered money for raid protection, help with the USA Citizenship test and recruitment of prostitutes.

During the trial, jurors heard recordings of Situ saying she wanted the same arrangement her friend had with police. Defense attorney Thomas Otake said he tried to raise an entrapment defense. Her arrest stemmed from human trafficking allegations but investigators weren't able to build such a case because the women working at the massage parlor said they were treated well, Otake said.

Situ's USA Navy son, college student daughter and ex-husband attended the sentencing. "She must have done something right along the way," in raising her children Otake said.

Through a Mandarin interpreter, Situ declined to speak at her sentencing.

USA District Judge Susan Oki Mollway said the sentence is at the low end of a sentencing guideline range in part because Situ likely faces deportation, which in some ways can be a tougher sentence than imprisonment because it would be a forced separation from her family.

But on the other hand, Situ spent several years running a massage parlor offering prostitution, Mollway said. "Offering a bribe is a serious crime," she said, adding that Situ also wanted the return of two prostitutes' seized passports.

Situ has stayed out of trouble while released on bail, Mollway said. She now works at a restaurant, Otake said.

Mollway is recommending that Situ serve her sentence at a federal detention camp near the San Francisco area, where her children live.

No great loss if the HPD did have an open season on them, though.More likely that a new gang of pimps is trying to move in and HPD is trying to keep a lid on it.

I've suspected from when it happened that the Alley Cat shooting was an attempt by the shooter and his crew to intimidate the club owner, either into paying protection money or into letting him pimp his girls through the club. I'm guessing that the owner refused and the shooting happened as a warning. That's the only explanation I can think of for the randomness of the shooting with no specific target other than whoever was in front of the club at that particular time.

This is all speculation, but since the accused shooter had previously beaten a woman in the street in full view of the public with no concern overy being witnessed and it makes me think that he had done this before where he was from and simply was continuing his MO in a new location. Pimps act the same wherever they are; they don't adapt to new environments.

Pimps act the same wherever they are; they don't adapt to new environments.Interesting and plausible. Maybe, and again this is just speculation on my part, all this violence is bubbling up because there's not much track left to go around.

You've got this new high end shopping complex in what used to be a big part of the old Kuhio Street track. The construction killed the sidewalk they used, and now that it's done it's not like the property managers want hookers walking around in front of it. In fact, I'd venture to say that the whole complexion of Waikiki's changed so much to an upscale retail city walk (like Rodeo Drive) in the last 10 to 12 years that the property managers, backed up by the owners with deep pockets, have been quietly getting the city to get rid of the hookers since they're very visible. Or maybe the city's been proactive in getting the hookers off the streets so those improvements can go forward.

This causes attrition among the pimps and the only ones left are the meanest, nastiest ones. Or maybe mean, nasty ones moving in from the mainland. Hence the violence we're seeing now.

Like i said before. Fuck these pimps. I'd say let 'em shoot it out, but there's way too many innocents that would get killed in the crossfire.

"HPD will deploy more bike patrols from 7 pm To 4 am, the district's peak crime hours. On Nov. 4 HPD will increase Waikiki staffing about 10 percent by sending police recruits there. ".

"The Hospitality Services program, under contract with the Waikiki Business Improvement District Association, provides aloha ambassadors to answer questions from the public at the police substation at Kuhio Beach Park and a kiosk at the Beach Walk complex on Lewers Street. Wearing light green shirts and black shorts, they also patrol parts of Waikiki on foot and bicycles. ".

It's about time. And if it puts the final nail in the coffin of pimps claiming Waikiki as their territory, good riddance. If you're crying over the SW scene in Waikiki, well, that was dying for years anyway.

The individuals who have been brought in by the FBI should sing like a canary on everything they know about the mailbox. Its not worth pleading innocent when the FBI have a good case on them. Their only choice would be to take a possible plea deal to cooperate and hopefully get a lesser jail time. Its going to be rough when they get locked up with the general population. Jail birds hate law enforcement. The people that make out are the criminal defense attorneys.

While they are with the FBI maybe they can sing about the politicians and all the other corruption that they have knowledge of.

Former Honolulu Police Chief And Prosecutor Wife Arrested.

One day after a federal grand jury completed a two-year investigation into public corruption and abuse of power in Hawaii law enforcement, former Honolulu Police Chief Louis Kealoha and his wife, Katherine, who is a high-ranking city prosecutor, were arrested by the FBI.

The Kealohas, who were arrested Friday morning, have been at the center of the U.S. Justice Department's criminal probe, which so far has resulted in the arrest of four other Honolulu police officers.

It's a dramatic — but not unexpected — development in a years-long federal investigation into public corruption at some of the highest levels of Oahu's law enforcement.

The couple surrendered to the FBI on Friday morning at their Salt Lake condo. The power couple is expected to be in court at 2 p.m.

In a statement issued Friday morning, the Honolulu prosecutor's office announced that Katherine Kealoha had been placed on leave without pay pending the outcome of the federal case.

The arrests came two days after FBI investigators executed search warrants at homes belonging to the former chief and his wife.

Hopefully, taxpayers will get the money back.Any former or active HPD officers who do serve jail time would not be released into the general population. They would last five minutes. Since this is a federal case, they'll be sent to a federal prison with robust protected custody areas. There is no probation in federal cases so those guys are looking at fairly lengthy time behind bars.

Unless the co-defendants are a confident that the Kealohas can beat this case (along with their cases), I would start looking at the best deal they can get for themselves. Betraying the public trust is not a trivial matter.

And on a side note, the City won't be getting their negotiated buy out retirement money back. Those funds are going straight to defense attorney fees.

They are accused of fraud, misappropriating their children's college funds, and a whole bunch of other greedy schemes. I'm not sure why they would risk this other than pure arrogance.

Not all law enforcement agents are corrupt, but these two are. Actually appear to be corrupt, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone now incarcerated by Ms. Kealoha efforts should contact their attorneys on the possibility of appealing their case. If she is guilty of this, she is more than capable of manipulating evidence to get a conviction.

I found the long-sleeved aloha shirt a little comic. Great look. If this were the '70's.

Also: anyone notice how the bigger the bullshit a politician / public official is about to tell, the bigger their lei?Kealoha has the pony tail to match. You know what they say, under every tail is an asshole.

Is Kaneshiro in it too? FBI investigated, star advertiser reported? What's the beef with Keith? In my humble opinion its just a matter of time when more and more people get indicted. Wait till they start flipping and sing to get a lighter sentence. There must be some juicy information that the Kealoha's have in their little black book that can be traded for lesser jail time. Its high time that the big crooks get busted. I wonder if the Kealoha's have anything to do with the pickup of the brown paper package (gift) at the MP during the holiday season.

Who do we trust to serve us now?

Hi Chewy
10-22-17, 07:23
Thanks xoxo808 - civilbeat has lot of good insight plus I was able to find that out HPD head cheese made $175 k in 2016 and his wife made $125 k of our hard earned tax dollars. In 2017 she wasn't in the prosecutor office but there was a teacher with the same name (I think) that made between $38-73 k. Maybe someone can do more investigation if this is the same person trying to milk more of our kala like she did with the trust fund of the two kids. I still cannot believe that Mrs K was so corrupt and greedy.

Our elected official Mr. Kaneshiro made $148 k. Maybe he / and his office was so ignorant of Mrs K's misdoings but I think attorneys are highly educated and would know better. I heard a bunch of attorneys left his office earlier last year. How could she have got away with all those crimes right under the nose of our lead prosecutor? Mr. K should be looking at his dept rather than worrying about AMPs. Go. Figure. I bet he'll bust a few more AMPs and show up in the newspaper how he is stopping "human trafficking" when we know the girls work on their own accord. Can someone list Mr K's accomplishments besides closing a few AMPs and may be a couple gambling houses.

BTW. You can search up almost any state or C&C public official and find out their pay on Ciivilbeat. Enjoy!

I would suspect that Kaneshiro knows something as Mrs. K was working right under him.Now that the FBI has uncovered all that filth on the Kealohas, they should now go after Jeremy Harris. After all Harris threaten to "spill the beans" on all other corrupt politicians when HPD white collar crime unit was getting close to slamming the book on him, only to have the then HPD chief Correa shut down that unit.

One indicator of how much influence Harris has is for the public to look at his former "business manager" Mufi Hannleman and the now defunct $10 biillion dollar and counting RAIL. There's allot of corrupt officials on the take to keep the FBI busy for years. The Kealohas are worst than pimps, manipulating their own underage siblings in ripping off their future funding for personal use.

Kealohas should be a wake up call Hawaii. You got that right, just look at that former racist governor George Ariyoshi, hiring family, friends and cronies to his entire cabinet consisting only of Japanese, not a single Hawaiian or White. But yet the corrupt media never raised a single word of "racist" against him! Makes you wonder about Hawaii's State government and especially its D. O. E, Department of Education of which both consists of 67% Japanese nationals, yet they represent only 17% of Hawaiian's population a clear indicator of nepotism and favoritism.

Then to hear all the corruption within the high ranks of the DOE, executive superindentents manipulating they system and ripping off the taxpayers in the recent $100,000 per classroom to cool it down with air conditioners or replacing completely functional bell system with million dollar $ CISCO propriety system run by a company owned by the son of a DOE complex principal and hired by his own father!

I think the FBI should hire more agents because of the massive State wide corruption that makes the Kealohas look like petty thieves since there are much bigger fishes that infest the entire State.

Us guys like see that's why!Man, that's nasty as hell, even a horny donkey would lose his hard on and bolt for the hills if he saw Mrs Kealoha fondling his testicles! Maybe that's why its logical to have her "working" under Kaneshiro's desk, out of sight so he don't have to put a paper sack over her head to make the deed more "manageable". Missionary position, I think not, if it elicits the same "Pavolian" response as in the case of the donkey fleeing for his life!

Maybe doggie style, since he won't see her facial response about to climax. Yeah, I bet Kaneshiro knew something about her crimes, but chose not to say much because it'll make him look stupid.

I personally know of a case where my older brother, a Vietnam veteran trained in Accounting went to UH Manoa and got his BS degree in that field.

While working as an intern in Accounting for the State, he won a prestigious award from then governor Ariyoshi for finding a solution, saving the State $millions. But when he graduated and applied for the same position, the State hired some senator's son of Japanese decent with no experience, let alone a award for that job! Hate = jealousy = racist.I don't think Oppa hates local Japanese-American descendent's, he is just stating the historical facts of corruption, racist favoritism in Hawaii and how immigrants of various races came and dominated the political system by buying off law enforcement and corrupt politicians, so they too dominate policies to favor their own race.

It all started during the mass migration of immigrants to Hawaii in order to work the sugar plantations owned by greedy white American men. Hawaii was still governed by Hawaiians and ruled by King Kaulakaua who had to approve of these 3-year labor contracts of immigrants. If he was racist and with no heart, he could have sent them all back to their home countries and in cases of the Japanese, many came from Okinawa and Hiroshima (look into shipping records for reference), to be later slaughtered big time during WWII or incinerated by atomic blasts.

You don't hear any of these Japanese descendants even mention any appreciation of Hawaiians for letting them over stay their 3 year contracts that lead to their own form of racist policies, but rather keep complaining about internment camps and self-pity, while the Hawaiians end up losing their government and now occupy the lowest economic situation and massive health problems that never existed before these mass immigration of various races.

Common sense. Wherever I go, here or in vegas or japan or macau, I see Mcdonalds always full so I bought years ago and now at its all time high.

Same with Facebook, small or large companies must have a facebook page. Growth will be its international play and now its at its all time high.

LVS, one of the highest didivend paying stocks for the last 2 years. Safe play to park your money. Vegas but the money play is in its cotai strip dominance (macau China) where it has over 4 mega resorts with over 12,000 rooms which are 89% full year round. And when Japan finalizes its resort gambling laws, LVS will be the front runner for building a mega casino resort. (search Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Rated the number 1 architectural structure in the world. Number 2 on the list is The Venetian on the Cotai strip Macau).

Back then in that thread there were several so called financial "experts" that suggested to sell into the doom and gloom of the stock market. Maybe you should ask them their advise.

So although the rate of return is very impressive, the actual profit for most small-time investors would have been significantly less than $200,000. Yet you do deserve kudos: indeed you did recommend those exact four stocks on 7/13/16 and all of them have performed extremely well.

Congratulations again! Absolutely none of your posts contain any angry, miserable, racial-hating comments. Absolutely none of your posts contain any women-hating comments. Absolutely none of your posts contain any male penis obsessed comments. All your posts contain nothing but love, respect, and aloha for your fellow citizens. You're probably the only guy in Hawaii to serve in the military. But, you refuse to throw any self-pity party for yourself. You're a man among men. The only person that MAY be better than you is Jesus Christ. But, that's highly debatable. All hail and bow down again, to the truthful, self-righteous, and most of all, pious Saint JohnnyOneFour, the greatest king that Hawaii will ever have, by far.

If you guys are looking for stock market moves, I would suggest XIV. With proper shorts, options, also SVXY, VXX, and UVXY in combination with it. Doesn't take long to brush up on it and learn about things like contango. Most days get a few hundred in profit, good days a few thousand. Following some publicly available algorithms, it's not hard to make a bunch of money. It definitely isn't a buy it and forget it type thing though, so if you are looking for a hands off, buy and hold, this is not for you.

What are some algorithms you look at or utilize? My XIV exposure is relatively small right now, to be honest with you. About 20 k of my portfolio right now, but I've been selling it to buy bitcoin. I also invest in bitcoin and GBTC. GBTC made me a ton of money in the past week. Bought in at $698 for 28 shares (around 20 k) and sold today at $925. Easy $6300 from that one move in 5 trading days. I started getting heavy in crypto currency and XIV the past few years and it has been a very good ride so far. Just to note, the rest of my portfolio has been doing well too, and I didn't mention those earnings. This is just XIV.

I use xivinvestment.com but there is also sixfigureinvesting.com as a good resource. Plenty of other resources out there as well.

Appl, FB beat their earnings this week again earning more than expected. Just amazes me how much billions of revenue Apple makes off the I-phone and to think their China sales haven't even ramped up yet. Have you noticed that most of the Chinese AMP girls have an I-phone? Or how many school kids have an I-phone? FB and social media still in its infancy, maybe in the 2 cd inning still and so much growth potential. MCD a safe play, can never lose money on this stock even in a recession, people will buy a bargain quality but maybe not so healthy meal and yet they continue to dominate the fast food market. And not only in America, they are still expanding in China, India. Etc. LVS, park your money in here just for the dividend at 6% paid per quarter but yet get rewarded in the next growth when the hangzen bridge connecting Hong Kong and macau is completed later this year and open early 2018. Currently, the only way to get to the cotai strip is through ferry but with the new bridge will be a game changer, mainland Chinese (by the way they "live" to challenge luck) and tourist alike will now not have to wait hours for the ferry rides. It will only be a 45 minute drive from Hong Kong. And the next game changer for LVS is when the Japan parliament finalizes their resort gambling laws late in 2018 and name the front runner for building a mega casino resort in either Tokyo or Osaka. The re-elected prime ministers Abe is pushing for the resort bill because of economic stimulus on tourism the casino will generate. He initially introduced the bill after visiting Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (search LVS marina Bay Sands Casino and resort, over 2500 rooms booked 94% year round)) and was so impressed he invited LVS Ceo and team to Japan to discuss the impact on tourism the mega resort can generate. He wants a duplicate MBS in Japan. LVS is in a wait and growth period with huge upside.

Just seen on TV the latest news that Pine Tree got robbed by two guys. GUESS WHAT? The TV showed the two suspects, it was a very clear video of the two males. The news said they pushed one of the girls into the room and robbed her. This was on KGMB news this morning. These two suspects will get caught because their photos on TV is as clear as day. It is going to be interesting when this is taken to trial should the defendants not take a plea deal. Best bet for these guys is to plead INNOCENT and try to get away. Then they will get cross examined. Furthermore, the MP owner or girls will need to be the witness against the defendants. It will be a very interesting case if brought to trial. Guarantee it will be on the news. However, it will expose the business on TV and all the "old ladys" "wife will know what their "old man" huband are doing.

Hope it doesn't go to trial. For the betterment of the business.

The guys are going to get caught in my opinion.

Possibly the prosecutors office has the tape of all the guys that visited. The place that day.

Watch the news.

Watch the news. Was it our former Chief Of HPD and one of his former CIU unit officer again? LOL They need money for their lawyers and can only afford court appointed ones because there much cheaper $125 and hour as to having Breiner and Sumida. Sell their 1. 2 million home in Kahala instead of using our tax dollars again. Pay your own fees out of your own pocket you thieves.

Sell their 1.2 million home in Kahala instead of using our tax dollars again.Sounds good, but probably wouldn't be very effective. The court found that the home was worth about $1,300,000, but there's a mortgage of $980,000, a $700,000 lien, and a $90,000 home equity loan.

Hawai'I justice system has the highest insanity plea in the nation: checking the reported news and public record, here are a few examples:

1. Mau-Gaffredi- shot and killed 3 people up tantalus- a husband and wife visiting and the cab driver while at the look out- May-Gaffredo not guilty by reason of insanity.

2. African American male Benjamin Davis climbed up Kokohead and stabbed two people and threw a third man off Kokohead critically injuring the Japanese man for life- he got NOT GUILTY by reason of insanity.

3. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2002/Jun/20/ln/ln06a.html part Hawaiian Homeless man pushes retired journalist Caucasian man into Ala Wai and victim drowns- The suspect was innocent by reason of insanity. These verdicts in part are a result of compassionate Asian judges in are now sanctuary city that support Sanctuary criminals.

Other states, these crimes were committed guys like Bryan Uyesuge who killed seven fellow workers at Xerox would have gotten the death penalty in many states- we have not figured it out yet.

There is NO NEED for any report to be written with HARD RETURNS at the end of every line of text.

Solution #2: However, if the unnecessary hard returns were the result of you having pasted the text into the forum from another source (such as a news story), then your option is to either edit out the unnecessary hard returns or don't paste the text.

Please do not post reports with unnecessary hard returns in the Forum. Thanks!

Ex-Cop Sentenced For Helping Prostitute In Exchange For Sex.

Judge cites "abuse of your position of power" in sentencing XXXXXX XXXXXXX to six months behind bars.

A former Honolulu police officer was sentenced Monday to six months behind bars for offering to help a woman with her prostitution case in exchange for sex.

XXXXXX XXXXXXX admitted to using an official law enforcement police database last year to find information about the woman, including her cell phone number. According to his plea agreement, in text messages and phone calls, he identified himself as a police officer and solicited sex from her in exchange for arranging to have her arresting officer not appear in court for her prostitution case.

He pleaded guilty in July to a charge of honest services wire fraud.

"This was abuse of your position of power," Judge Susan Oki Mollway said at his sentencing hearing Monday, adding that he exchanged dozens of text messages with the woman.

She also sentenced him to a year of supervised release, including five months of home confinement. She said she gave him less time behind bars than the 10 months a federal prosecutor asked for because XXXXXXX owes child support and has five children.

"Your mother and the mothers of your children are bearing considerable sacrifice while you remain unemployed," Mollway said, as his crying wife and mother watched from the courtroom gallery.

The lanky XXXXXXX, who played volleyball for the University of Hawaii, said he is embarrassed by his poor decision. "It's been a roller coaster ride," he said.

He said he's apologized to his family, the police department, the volleyball team and the state of Hawaii.

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/crime/backpage-com-settles-suit-by-3-washington-women-who-said-they-were-sold-for-sex-as-teens/

In the lawsuit the three said they were 13 to 15 years old when they were advertised on Backpage.com. They argued that the website knowingly marketed commercial sex.

The Washington Supreme Court ruled in 2015 that the lawsuit could go forward. The justices said the federal Communications Decency Act does not protect Backpage where plaintiffs allege the company didn't just host the ads, but helped develop the content.

Other cases against Backpage remain pending in Washington, California and Texas.

Be careful kind guys.

Seriously if AMP with illegal residents is busted and you are found you had picked girl frol airport to AMP, even you can be charged as immigration fraud and supporting human trafficking if girls insisit they were forced.

Eventually you can be dismissed when you spend a lot for lawyers.

The investigation resulted in police raiding several brothels in the wealthy Seattle suburb of Bellevue, and the shutdown of three websites: "The Review Board" and its two Korean-centric offshoots, "The League" and "K-Girl Delights." Something else unique about this case—the controversial felony charge leveled against several of the website users.

Good news for us is: Seattle area always has very very strict law on commercial sex. One of the most strict law in the USA. Different from Hawaiian way. Mainland cops are more cold-hearted (and less humane LOL.

Bad news for us is: it seems federal involves AMP bust more and more in Hawaii.

And when it comes to ICE issue, forget about bs constitutional right. Deported foreigners will get notice "you will fight for your constitutional right" from American lawyer (who did fail to help you wib) when she arrive at China.

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2017/12/family_of_woman_killed_in_port.html

Family of woman killed in Portland by john she met for sex sues hotel chain, Backpage.com.

The suit claims the 25-year-old mother was forced to appear in multiple ads for sex on Backpage.com and to engage in sex acts several times at the DoubleTree by Hilton, the Portland hotel where she was eventually killed.

The lawsuit alleges the Hilton hotel chain and Backpage should be liable for damages including negligence and wrongful death for failing to protect Benson, the suit said.

"Sex trafficking is an epidemic in our city largely because of companies who turn a blind eye to it for the sake of profit," said attorney Andrew Lauersdorf, who along with Janis Puracal and Joel Shapiro represent Benson's estate in the lawsuit.

Representatives for Hilton and Backpage didn't immediately return requests for comment.

Backpage also failed to prevent sex trafficking and prostitution on its site and changes user-generated ads to avoid censorship guidelines, the lawsuit said.

Backpage has previously been accused of promoting prostitution and sex trafficking of children. A report issued in January by the USA Senate found found the website regularly edited ads in its adult section to remove "hundreds of words indicative of sex trafficking. Or prostitution" before they were published. Website officials didn't deny the site is used for criminal activity, including to traffic children for sex, the report found.

Website executives argued the site only hosts content created by users and is protected from liability by the Communications Decency Act, a federal law that protects free speech. Backpage announced in January that it was closing its adult section, which included prostitution and sex trafficking ads, but those ads have since moved to different areas of the website, the lawsuit said.

Feds not sending them to Halawa or OCCC to do hard time. They are going to go to some rich person prison and play tennis during the day and watch tv at night, or get a suspended sentence and do house arrest. LOL.

The crimes they committed are not violent crimes so they won't go to a hardcore federal prison. Kealoha's are going to minimum or medium security rich people prison. And after they are released get a $50,000 a year job from their political friends.

Most people who are convicted of felonies don't have a life like that, only rich and powerful people can get convicted of a felony and still live a good life.

It sounds more serious than misdemeanor prostitution actuon.

It is "felony" - forcing sex. If mama doesn't allow girls to say "NO" when they don't want to fuck.

There are still many places where mamas just can't force girls to have sex against their will.

One way to get around that, is to give him only a massage and keep all her clothes on. As a matter of fact, wear a pair of baggy jeans or sweatpants. After a few times of no service, he won't come back.

This is especially true if they post his pictures to the other AMP's.

It's not no service, it's just relaxation.

I talked to another woman who ran a parlor awhile back. She said if your parlor gets big enough and gets on the HPD's radar, it's not so much looking for a cop to work out that arrangement, but the cops seeking you out.

Granted, it's anecdotal, but I could imagine that's how things work for all manner of illegal enterprises in Hawaii.

Gifford Gilford brothers get one more, all making the press at one time or another, all pretty dirty. Allegedly bringing in fireworks for years by the container load. Gifford gave the finger to the police and kakaako residence recently holding outdoor concert in his parking lot while police did nothing.I think you mean the Chang brothers. Just like the Chun brothers, they fuck up Kakaako.

How you're going to arrest a pimp for when there are AMPs prostitutes in every single corner of Honolulu? The significant difference is that the federal indictment charges him with sex trafficking involving "force, threats, fraud or coercion". The government alleges that "he threatened, beat and raped women to force them to cooperate," and the government apparently has two witnesses saying that he "coerced them into prostitution" and that "they were held captive in a hotel room and suffered beatings and rapes".

Miyagi & Ige are jokes. They don't what triggered sirens after it was confirmed it was a false alarm. The Broadcast was a joke to include the news reporters asking repeated questions frustrating even me watching the fiasco. The HI-EMA stated it was a human error on their part. They explained that in an actual real world incident, we'd get a three warning System thru Text, TV Broadcast, and Siren Tones. HI-EMA said in an event, we're to get inside and await update. More they repeated themselves, more information about try to get into a concrete structure especially in a basement or underground facility. But my concern is not everyone will be near a concrete Building especially residents in the Leeward area or out in the country area. Not every concrete Building has a basement. HI-EMA said Pacific Command would be engaged in Military matters while the State, City and Local agencies are responsible to assist the Public with surviving. But not sheltering it seems since there doesn't seem to be any bomb proof approved shelters. 15-20 minutes to do or get to anywhere after initial warning seems to be a small window of futility. I guess nothing to do but hope it's not smack dab in center of island. There's a website that shows a Nuke Map or Nuclear Weapons Effect Simulator for Google Earth. Very detailed simulation. Link is: http: urlreplacement0} . Be safe out there and keep informed.

Everyone makes mistake, I feel for the people involved that mistakenly set off then alert. What puzzles me is why did not put out an alert ASAP saying the initial alert was accidental. It took 38 minutes to send the all clear alert.

Was I worried? No, the sirens didn't go off.

I was taking my morning stroll when I saw the emergency alert. I thought it was a virus because I had just given my number to a girl about three hours before. Also on my s6 phone, the alert came on and I needed to press ok to get pass the screen which made it seem like a virus you would see on your computer. On Kapiolani Boulevard, there were no signs of people panicking and no sirens blaring. The only funny thing was at Marco Polo building, where all the workers were gathering in front of the building. When I got home I got another text saying that it was a false alarm.

This false alarm was good in ways. At least now people will know what a emergency alert will look like and our cell phones. And with the way Trump and Kim Jong Un have been going at it, is this really a bad thing?

If this is the case, cut the line. If it is an innocent mistake, the harm is already done. All IMO.I completely agree the simplest reason is probably the correct reason. Occam's Razor.

That being said, I believe old equipment and bad user interface may have also been factors that are as important or more important than the human factor. Government agencies are notorious for not having enough in their IT budgets for a regular upgrade schedule. Government contractors also don't put much effort into their UIs (they were the lowest bidder, after all).

They also failed at communicating what happened. Saying "someone pushed the wrong button" is probably a gross simplification of the process, like the way saying launching a nuclear weapon is just the president pushing a button. I'd be willing to bet the operator has to deal with a whole bunch of confusing windows or menu items to do their job. I also wouldn't be surprised if they had to deal a command line interface.

Don't believe me? See: http://www.cracked.com/article_19776_6-disasters-caused-by-poorly-designed-user-interfaces.html.

Given that the sirens have been a constant point of contention (they either don't work when they should or work when they shouldn't), it's pretty clear there's infrastructure and IT problems in the agency, at least.

I'm all for accountability, but if the tech handling the alarm system uses vacuum tubes and punch cards you're ignoring the real problem.

Island is run by a bunch of dummies who enjoy the lazy government checks. The State of HI just recently went to Direct Deposit after years of processing Payroll by hand and printing out checks using out dated MS-DOS systems. Yups, I remember that Earthquake off Big Island that took off the Hawaiian Electric power plants systems off grid which takes hours just to restart. Never mind the fact the Cellular Companies then did not have any redundancy power backup system which basically made all cellular service go offline. Only thing working back then was my hardwired Hawaiian Telcom Telephone service. What we have here is a failure to adapt to changing technology in a timely manner coupled with attitude of not wanting to much change in a State System hell bent on keeping the status quo in check with the same ol good ol braddah network. Mind you, we have not been impacted by a significant natural or man made event yet. Let's talk about the C & C Honolulu antiquated road repair system of repeat repairs of same potholes in same street areas because of the same old black top fill and tap system. There are way better methods to repair blacktop that would last longer but, these City Authority figure heads would rather have their people keep repairing the same pothole over and over again with the same antiquated methods at the Tax Payers cost. There is no incentive nor attempts by worker's and management to improve or save money at any levels within the Local and State government. Meantime, Mayor Caldwell saw fit to increase the Property Tax to pay for the defunct Rail System that is bleeding the Tax Payers before it's even Operational. Maintenance costs is another beast yet to be realized but at some point, these local authorities will bleed us again probably by a significant Excise Tax increase. Alas, damage has been done by these incompetent government officials and the worst is yet to come. And we wonder whether our children will be able to afford to have a career and live in Hawaii? Maybe in multigenerational House. The future looks bright in Hawaii nei. Lataz, O.

Before reacting or acting in haste, let's wait for the results of the investigation (hopefully by an independent body) and make assessments accordingly. However, the paradox of 'making ass, false alarm, stupid heads, etc. " has now elevated the public's awareness by any potential threat and / or disaster; perhaps a blessing in disguise? Before reacting or acting in haste, let's wait for the results of the investigation (hopefully by an independent body) and make assessments accordingly. The death threats have no bearing here or anywhere; per the following cliche': "look in the mirror first and then put yourself in their shoes" before throwing rotten mangoes. IMO only.LOL can you imagine this guy on the next interview he has and the guy / woman asks so what did you do for your last position and why did you leave?

LOLOL.

Per todays local news the reporter stated that the governor Ige will have to work harder to get re elected. The State looks stupid at this time for their slow response. Prior to Ige speaking, his fellow Democrapo Tulsi Gabard was on the NEWS blabing away and putting it on Trump. Thios is where all the irony is. Anything that goes wrong is always Trumps fault. Under the Democrap rule, there is more homelessness, food stamps, welfare, more illegals, and more stuff.

The government should take care of the American citizens FIRST before bringing in more immigrants who DRAIN our resources (our tax money).

Vote Republican. As far as the missile alert. Wow. No fault of the folks who are unaware and took it to heart. My thoughts as soon as I get the alert was 99% state government dumbass award has a new winner. The other 1% was if and Korea actually managed to launch a real nuke that didn't explode on takeoff as more than half of them do, or flip flop into the vast pacific ocean, the chances of it actually getting though our defense of this scenario is so miniscule. I started thinking about what I'd have for lunch. Really, I've spent years in the military, 3 of those years living in South Korea perhaps more privey to the capabilities, or lack thereof of and. Korea to even bother to care. If people would stop watching fake news on the networks that want to just create their own version of reality when in reality, they are clueless and keeping those that listen to their cluelessness. Unaware.

Unaware. What happened on sat was a false alarm but even if it was a real nuke headed this way, what are we suppose to do or go to? What bothers me more is hikers getting stranded on places they aren't supposed to be and HFD goes out and rescues them and puts their lives in danger. NO charge to the individual (s) fuck that shit!!Remember the police officer that died about 20 years in Hauula from repelling down to save assholes? He was a family friend.

FEMA: Ige, Miyagi Wrong About 38 Minute Delay.

Governor Ige and HIEMA administrator Vern Miyagi say they had to obtain permission from FEMA. FEMA says that's not true.

You really think people don't think Hawaiis a nuclear target with its strategic importance? You really think the state's stupidity is going to translate to the general public that we are suddenly a North Korean target?

LOL.

(none of what you wrote holds any water. NONE).Bro I think you missing my point. I'm talking about tourism and the tourists perception of hawaii's Safety. A month ago, if you asked 100 tourists if Hawaii was safe from nuclear attack, they woulda said 100 out of 100 yes. But after the missile fiasco, there's probably now a small percentage of tourist who think that we might be unsafe. And if they change their travel plans to go elsewhere, that hurts the whole Island economy. Again, it's a small percentage, but fear is powerful and a small incident can change minds and end up cost millions.

Not surprised at all, that idiot who pushed the wrong button should be fired, along with his / her supervisor for either not training or watching over, causing massive panic throughout the entire State for over 30 minutes. Also USPACOM HQ should have stepped in to correct it right away since they monitor the entire Pacific area including North Korea. I worked with both organizations in the past and know how they operate.Maybe USPACOM HQ at Camp Smith did step in right away, and maybe Hawaii Civil Defense was slow in relaying that info to the public. We really don't know. What I do know is that upon hearing of the alert from Hawaii Civil Defense, the 24-hour watch floor at USPACOM HQ, using its various sources, would have immediately taken action to confirm/deny an actual missile launch. I've also worked very closely with USPACOM HQ, and I can say that the watch floor personnel are highly competent and disciplined and are very good at what they do.

There's a virus going around. You had the false missile alert button pusher and then the NO Saints safety making or not making a play on the last play of the game. The truth is out there. Can you hear the X-Files whistling sound?

Unaware. You actually give the Norks way too much credit. My immediate thought was that it was the Russians or Chinese who I think are a much bigger threat. For a good minute thoughts related to this idea were cascading thru my mind. Unlikely? Hell yeah. But what else can you think when you get an alert as serious as that.

I actually have the number to the JOC watch and was tempted to call to see if they had any incoming threat. Decided against that as I didn't see anything on any of the national news agencies or on-line and felt pretty good that it was a false alarm. Still got my heart racing for a few minutes though!

So did anyone happen to be in an AMP or being serviced elsewhere when this alert occurred? Would be pretty interesting to have to take cover in an AMP. I would make sure the girls stayed calm.AMP business must be booming this week. After being faced with death, and realizing I shoulda spent my money, I will be visiting my rotation girls sooner.

And go easy on the guy who pushed the button. Maybe he is a monger who was in a rush to leave work, to get to Rejuve at opening.

That might be a good thing if there are less tourists, land prices would drop and everything might become more affordable.

It might even keep the Chicoms from investing here. They wouldn't like to be bombed by their own leaders.

Everything that happened yesterday is a gift to Hanabusa.Hanabusa used to be the mouth piece for that corrupt $10 billion and counting Rail, getting compensated more than $100,000 from Rail, who knows maybe she got some sweetheart deal in purchasing land next to the more than two dozen Rail stations that will benefit herself? She is just as corrupt and incompetent as Ige, another Japanese counter part who knows how to massage the political system! She plays the self-pity game of being victim of racist polices, yet screwed over the Hawaiians in Waiane when she was a senator.

Time to get a white person for governor, the locals are too ingrained in a corrupt system of back scratching and coverups.

As for that person who pushed that button twice and caused so much panic, I won't go easy on him / her because one father who had to choose between two of his daughters on the mainland, not knowing if he'll ever see them again, decided to talk to his 10 year old daughter for the "final" time before suffering a massive heart attack! Such panic is unnecessary and someone should be sued big time!
