j-man - I posted a few reports about Rocky Point a year or two ago. You may have to go into the archives for them.

A quick rundown: There is a local whorehouse on the outskirts of town (Bar Crystal or Sona Crystal), that is in the $30-$45 range. Serious action (nicest chicas) doesn't start until 10pm most nights.

There are some bars that you can pick up independents. Spotty at best, in my experience.

You can also get some limited action at strip clubs. (Guau Guau, I think). They usually have a back room, and you can get cbj for about $50-$60. Not worth it in my estimation. All girls are different, and usually only a few that will do back room action.

I haven't done anything serious in Rocky Point for a couple of years, so my info might be a tad dated.

Was out the other night (Tuesday night and Thursday night) and the streets were kind of dead on 27th, even the usual one strolling along 27th at Indian and up near Glendale were gone. I went out late tues night, I have never seen so many le out. It was about 11pm and i cruised from 56th st. to 32nd St. and saw, I kid you not 14 police cars. GunRunner: I have seen several girls at 19th Ave and Bell Ave also in the past. I usually see them in that strip mall next to the entrance to the horse track, or walking in front of the horse track. I am a semi-regular at the biker bar (Steel Horse) across the street and I think some of those girls also work that parking lot too; or in some cases work from out of the parking lot while their man is getting liquored up.

I have seen them when I was leaving the bar, but I usually have my ol' lady with me and she does not play well with others; if you know what I mean. I have been meaning to get up there solo to see if those ladies are good for a late night date.

I would be wary of any LE in that area, especially while that bar is open and probably for an hour after it closes. Avondale / Goodyear Update: As it gets cooler, the ladies are coming out again. Only thing is they seem more paranoid than previously. I had not seen ladies out there for a long time, as many hung out in the park near the railroad tracks that run parallel with MC-85 between Dysart Ave and Central Ave (the one in Goodyear, not Phoenix.) That park was under re-construction for the last few month, so the ladies went some place else. I did not see them as much in the summer as I did in the spring. During the NASCAR races, you can tell they are all back, but since they re-constructed the park, it is all lighted up now, so they are not using it as much. The ladies used to use the darkness as cover to flag you down on MC-85. Now the ladies seem to be running the south side of MC-85, and they are all congregating around the Circle K now. I also see them using a using some of the trailers parks on MC-85 also. I have had some luck here on MC-85 in the past, but the girls are demanding more money nowadays. Also the girls won’t wave you down until you cruised by them a half dozen times. I felt like they were scoping me out, I even thought it was LE too until I recognized a blonde I had been with before. Maybe they are seeing if I was LE. (I guess because the Avondale PD is just a few blocks away.)

I'd say the only thing I'll give Sheriff Joe props for is giving most of those his office arrested STD tests (Looks like at least one tested positive for syphilis).

Just found the site because I recently went on a trip to Phoenix, Tucson area for business. I found the site very informative and helpful.

I am missing something here. I didn't read the original news report on the sting. In the last big sting operation, guys were also picked up, if I understand correctly. How is it the male customer was caught? Did Joe have undercover female cops that disrobed and allowed the customer to tickle their clit and fondle their breasts?

No, this is not entrapment. Entrapment is where an agent of law enforcement actually causes you to commit a crime or gives you permission to commit a crime (usually explicity but sometimes implicitly/tacitly) and then charges you with said crime. Think of prostitution like drugs. If a cop went to a drug dealer and said "I want to buy a rock" and the dealer sells it to him, that's not entrapment. That guy was always a drug dealer, you just caught him doing it.

Entrapment would be something along the lines of "I have your daughter and I'm going to kill her unless you sell drugs." or "I'm Joe Law, you have my permission to sell drugs on this corner." and then arresting you in each case.

Basically entrapment means that law enforcement caused you to commit a crime you likely would not have been engaged in otherwise.

The old hooker trick of making you ask for what you want, doesn't protect them at all. Another example of entrapment in the context that most hookers think of would be something like this...

WOMAN: "I just got robbed and I have no money and I have no family and I don't know what I'm going to do."

JOHN/LEO: "Well I know; I'll give you $20 for a blowjob. That will help us both out."

WOMAN: "I don't know..."

JOHN/LEO: "It'll be okay, don't worry."

WOMAN: "Okay."

A good argument could be made that this theoretical woman wouldn't have committed a crime unless she had been prompted to by an agent of the state.

The same holds true for Johns. 9 times out of 10, you can argue that you were just giving someone a ride, etc. That's why LE wants to hear you say "This is what I want, this is how much I'm going to pay for it." Johns have a much easier time using the entrapment defense than prostitutes do.

Also "proving" you're not law enforcement by fondling, etc. means nothing because you've received permission from the prostitute to do so. It's just 'good clean fun.' Now there is a flip side of this for us guys. I have NEVER heard of a female officer allowing herself to be fondled, or of one getting into a car by herself. Too much risk for a female officer. So I would be of the opinion that this is a good check for us to ensure we are not soliciting law enforcement, but not a good check for the working girls.

My question is: Where is the dividing line on this VB street? I see on this crappy map I have where a Central Ave is, and it looks like the street #'s go up in both directions from there. Is this it?

If so, what's the best direction to go from there to meet the SW's? I read on here where you guys talk about East and West VB, but I can't tell really where I should go.

Central ave is the dividing line, west VB is avenues, east VB are the streets... As far as west vb , the only action you will see would be from 15th ave to 35th ave.. Mostly, the sgs are low level.. crackheads, strung out ladies, etc... You can usually get a BJ for $20 and full service for $40 -$50 around here..i have gotten FS from one latina for $20 total.... Sometimes, you may find some few gems out here....

On east VB the action picks up between 20th st - 40th st...... between 7th st and 16th st, lots of TVs and cracked out ladies, i would advise staying away from there....

Streets 3rd St, 24 th St ect rund from central going East while the Av go West with the numbers going higher. Yahoo maps give a good layout if you want an easy printout. Ivel, some of the men who were busted in the sheriff's circus act referred to as a sting were busted by the female officers using the provider's cells and home phones after they were busted. When the providers were busted they were kept from getting in touch with ayone to warn them by being held at the sheriff's tent set up at Park Central for several (about 8) hours. They let these lady officers masquerade as the providers and book appointments with these men and then, when the men showed up and did what came naturally, they busted them.

Play A Pimp, thanks for a very good explanation of entrapment. We all need to learn a lot to protect ourselves whether punter or provider. The only problem is that it is my understanding that the entrapment laws aren't recognized here and that's why they can get by with so much BS. I've even discussed it with lawyer clients to see if they had any ideas on it. I haven't met anyone with a good answer for how to protect us yet. Now that our incredibly assinine sheriff has made it clear that he enorses his officers getting naked and doing whatever they 'have to do' to make a bust we really need to get some answers or some changes in the laws! I am Phoenix this week and I decided to try the street scene on Van Burean. I went cruising around 10:00 pm on Monday and LE was heavy and there were not many girls out, so I grabbed something to eat and came back around Midnight.
