There's usually one of two reasons for this:

It may relate to a FireFox update as this has been an issue on some sites for years. Odd that some BP links work and others do not. Supposedly the browser is not finding the extension on the file so lets you choose what to open with. Some suggest some anti-virus programs causing the error but it seems this odd message is not caused by a virus.
