And to think you're the one telling ME to be a bit smarter.
2. If "Johnny5150" (a police code BTW) is your handle on escorts that's fine, especially if you have posted credible reviews there. However it would be all too easy for LE to just grab your handle name from that site and use it here while claiming to be you when they are not.
3. Mtl Pig (a fellow senior member) made a post in the Backpage Reviews thread mentioning to a couple of newbies about how they had only six posts combined, which does not bode well in getting info. I would have to agree 100%. I will also add that regardless of the number of posts made by a member, the quality of the information offered in their posts also matters. However there has been an influx of several "new" members simply signing on and asking for information as you did, without ever having offered any information to the members of this board.

Before I noticed the police code embedded in your name (and yes I'm aware it's a VH album name too, but so what), I had already started on a response stating that you had already answered your own question with regard to the doubt you'd had. If you have the suspicion you mentioned, it's best to just be safe and move on. However I don't know what you may have written to her that caused her to respond the way she did (if she's real). 5. If you check out the quality of my posts over a period of time, you can see the contributions I've made to the overall benefit of the members here. 6. Lastly (this part is huge!), I had been reluctant to mention this for a variety of reasons, but mostly because I don't have it confirmed with a primary source and have only heard it second hand. The details are sketchy. While I do know for a fact that LE scours this board for information, one LE jurisdiction is supposedly considering altering their entrapment dates or the publication of the entrapment activities' results based on what they've read on THIS board. Part of the reason would be to shake things up and to attempt to DISCREDIT the chatter they've read here. Frankly it would make sense and it wouldn't be a bad tactic on their part.
I'm not trying to engage in McCarthyism here by calling people LE, but this is a big reason for my suspicion. It would be a smart research tactic of LE to post an ad and then ask this board if they think it's real, just so they know how to improve upon their fake ads. As somebody who has provided information for the benefit of legit providers and clients, I'll be darned if I'm going to help members of LE pry into the private lives of others just to entrap them.

I'd also like to add that the only two criteria to being a senior member is to be a member for 6 months and have over 25 posts. It doesn't say anything about the quality of posts as far as sharing legit provider reviews. I think they should tighten security and weed out the moles by only allowing senior status to members who share a certain number of legit reviews.

I don't blame everyone for being cautious with newbies. That just makes sense. I love this board and I use it to make myself safer. If there are multiple reviews on here about a provider, it reduces significantly the chance that its a sting. I think keeping the details to a minimum is wise.

I'd also like to add that the only two criteria to being a senior member is to be a member for 6 months and have over 25 posts. It doesn't say anything about the quality of posts as far as sharing legit provider reviews. I think they should tighten security and weed out the moles by only allowing senior status to members who share a certain number of legit reviews.
I think we all need to use caution, you just never know what is going on, or who has been caught and being used by LE. Think with the big head.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. We all need to use caution and don't skip the homework. Implementation of tighter security measures wouldn't hurt though since most posts are moderated anyway. But the question remains -- how do we tell the legit ones from bogus ones?
