Bronson Iseri, 21, is accused of rape and promoting prostitution.

The prosecutor said Iseri used an Internet want ad to advertise the girl in Hawaii and California.

"(He was) soliciting johns that way, forcing her to go and have sex with these johns, and then collecting the money that she receives," Deputy Prosecutor Leilani Tan said.

Iseri's attorney, Michael Green, said his client does not deny helping the girl be a prostitute, but said Iseri is not guilty of rape.

The judge lowered Iseri's bail to $65,000, so he can be released to live with his family pending trial.

It could be a first of its kind in Hawaii. An Oahu man has been charged with promotion of prostitution.

Prosecutors say he did so using the internet, through a popular online classified ads site.

Craig's list is a one stop shop, where apparently you can buy anything.

Deputy Prosecutor, Leilani Tan says, "So, just like someone would put up an ad to sell their used car, essentially Craig's List has a section that allows you to sell or put up services for erotic services."

Bronson Iseri is charged with four counts of first degree sex assault against a 17-year-old girl. he is also charged with promoting prostitution.

Michael Green, Iseri's attorney says, "I think he did, and he's going to have a problem for doing that. I don't know if that's against the law, but it certainly shows the relationship between the two."

Prosecutor Tan says the promotion was relatively straight forward.

"He would post up a profile of the victim on Craig's list with the aim of basically promoting prostitution, soliciting her out."

"But using the internet, does that bring up additional problems? Well it depends who's charging it. we're very happy to stay in this building," says Green.

Green is referring to state prosecution instead of federal, where the penalties can be much more severe.

The prosecutor says this should serve as a warning.

"The scary thing about the internet is although it offers us so many more opportunities to learn about the world and stay in touch with people. it unfortunately also becomes a playground for predators."

Iseri did claim a small victory in court, his bail was reduced from $200,000 to $65,000.

Secondly, if you make a bluff that you are going to an AMP, then be prepared to get called on it. You said that you were going to an AMP, so why didn't you? Makes it seem to me like you don't keep your word. I wonder if she was thinking the same thing.

Thirdly, didn't you know that you were essentially burning your bridges with this woman once you hinted that you were going to be leaving a bad report about her? It would show that you were mature enough to not just care about getting your rocks off. Providers are human beings with feelings and private lives. It might very well have been a lame excuse, but you can't just assume that. Asking would have helped you to determine if her sister's emergency was real. There is a chance that she was being straight with you. In that case, showing that you were concerned about her as a person by asking about her sister would have gone a long way. It would show that you were mature enough to not just care about getting your rocks off. Providers are human beings with feelings and private lives. I've always wondered that myself too.
