Have crossed over using Pedwest six times since it opened July 15. Only time it took over 5-15 minutes was a Monday at noon. Left side of the three layer rotundra for general public. Right side for Ready Lane. I believe Sentri can walk straight to the gate where the gray shirted private security will check your credentials. Lots of people now come thru the plaza where the old MacDonalds was to use Pedwest. After you cross to the USA Side you're only a ten minute walk from the lots near Jack in the Box if you parked there. About fifteen minute walk total from the Arch until you're on the USA Side not including wait time.

Usually when they change things down at the border crossing on the mex side that it doesn't take to long for tijuanas finest to stand a few hundred feet away and start shaking people down. One other thing if your picking up street girls pay in pesos! They still think its 10 pesos to the USA Dollar, you save nearly 50% Girls quoting 300 pesos or 30 dollars, hard to keep a straight face.

Can someone explain this? I know there was a bridge from the outlet but you still have to cross the street then walk behind the stores in the dirt next to the tracks before you get the the paved bridge thing. Is there another entrance besides the one behind McDonald?

Besides the conversion fee both ways to exchange pesos, I wouldn't know what to tip. Would it still be 20% knowing if you paid in USD it would be double? Taxi's like to do the 10% match or george Bush fuzzy mexican math. I got 5 pesos change back from ten bucks (which is a quarter in real math). I've never heard a taxi quote in pesos. I had a restaurant cashier give me change in pesos (she used a calculator). Since her match was correct, I have her the change as a tip. Do you guys exchange it back or just hang on to it for next time?

Apparently that refers to the completed walkway to the entry to the USA.

It was Mexican Independence Day. Was going on Friday with a friend but he bailed. Got some Phil's BBQ before parking near the $7 parking lot. BTW, the foot entrance by the Jack in the Box and McDonald's is closing this month. Permanently, I believe. A west gate is now open near virginia st. Noticed a monger with a Victoria Secret bag who looked like an out of shape Danny Bonaduce. Took the cab straight to Adelitas but never entered a bar the entire night. Lots of obv mongers on the street. I looked in Tropico for a quick second but everyone was rather blah. Nothing special. I hit every street, even the alley, where I was accosted by 1 tranny and his tranny friend. He grabbed my junk and was jokingly trying to get me to go with him. It's very hard to make me feel uncomfortable or offended. I simply laughed, said no thanks, and was on my way. Another slightly less obvious tranny tailed me to offer. Took a trip to HK and stayed overnight at Hotel Cascada as I was in SD for work. Took the trolley from downtown SD ($2. 50) to the border, real easy. Got some food and exchanged for Pesos and crossed the border. The yellow taxi was going for $10 right at the crossing so I passed for a white cab at the street. Asked for $8 for Friday night, sheesh. Got there and checked in by 8 pm Friday night. Been to HK half a dozen times, and I have to say that this time was most disappointing from a talent perspective. I know Friday nights are tough with a lot of aggressive chicas, but there just weren't the dozens of DDG girls I have seen in the past. My room had no hot water so took a cold shower. The club wasn't too busy at 8 pm, there was a cream show, and probably 50 girls there. I hung out for 2 hours before having fun with one chica. Went upstairs with Annelle (SP?) and had fun. Went down the last 2 Sunday nites. Both trips got down around 7:30-8 pm and came back late evening to early morning. A couple of observations are the parking lots are still ridiculously over priced in San ysidro and anyone paying 15 dls for 1-8 hours is nuts. I park my car on the street and so far have not had an issue in recent trips and it's free. Taxi libre has raised prices!! Before I even jumped into the taxi driver tells me minimum 7 dls. I thought he was kidding. I told him I pay 5 dls plus 1 dl tip and he points to the window where they have a decal now the says 7 dl day 8 dl night. Says gasolina muy cada en Mexico ahora. Next time I'll walk. Both Sunday's were pretty slow and last night the zona was crawling with police and military armored vehicles which looked like the army. I knew something was up so I asked around. Apparently early sat morning a couple officers were mowed down with.

Ak47's with one killed and 2 wounded. This happened between AB and la Gloria on the Coahuila side. Great!! Was not having a good time after all this and the bars were really slow so I busted up to las pulgas and hung for awhile. Love this place, everybody else hates it. Ohh well. Moe.

I was there right after the shooting. Drugs guys shooting cops who stopped them is the word on the street. I was there about 11 hours later, around 3 pm (shooting was around 4 am Friday night). So I met up with amigo in tropical bar. We down beers for 2-3 hours and I decided to hit the alley with my now favorite streetgirl (doesn't stand in one spot, hard to catch if you don't know where to monitor for movement). So we had a 1 hour trip upstairs and she's telling me about hearing the shootings and going to check it out. I tried my best to tell her theres nothing worth seeing at 4 am with gunfire popping off.

I don't understand the baja Cali license plates, unless it's nostalgia to when it was part of Mexico. So anyway, I went to the outlet mall and allegedly decided to hop the border real Mexican food for dinner. The stores close at night, so I figure I'm good until 9:30 and 10 would be really pushing it. I was extremely confused when asked for a passport to go "in" to Mexico when I don't need one to exit (just use my card). With an exception and a warning I went in. There was a crazy line for the taxi's. I decided to walk over to the old entrance where the drugstore was playing music and catch a taxi there but it no longer exists (any of it). Decided to check out the chicas thinking most college girls have Friday off (at least in the us) but no teens. Went in to Hong Kong to watch some strippers and have some beers. First taxi wanted a ten spot, so I walked on. If offered 5 to the next and he countered 6. There was a massive police presence there (armed with most M-16 and a few shotguns). Four dollar Tecati and 9 dollar half sized beers for the lady (not much difference than the us). Waiter had called the girl to sit with me. She was soft but I was looking for a petite spinner. Bada-bing and time to leave. No need to loop around and check out the second shift of standing girls. I didn't want to walk much, so I tell the cabbie take me to the new line border west. Being the proud possessor of a new GOES card, I thought I'd test the feasibility of daytime bombing runs to the Zona. Haven't done one since pre-2001 and haven't had a Tijuana trip of any kind since 2010. These days daytime trips are my only Tijuana option.

Circumstances were favorable for Wednesday, 9/28, so, after a few days of studying this and another site, decided it was a go. Arrived at the parking lot just West of where the last USA Freeway exit hits Camino de la Plaza at 10:30 am Weekday rate $7. Surprised to see that my long-time regular parking lot, where the outlet stores used to be (UTEA? Is all torn up and now USA Government property.

Hit the Mexican customs lines at 10:50. Not many people, but, still took about 15 minutes to get through. I can imagine the cluster-fuck it must be when there is a lot of traffic. I understand why the Mexicans want to have some control over who enters their country, but, it seems like they'd want to make it faster for gringos with spending $$ to get through. Turns out it took longer to get through Mexican Customs that it did to return to the USA Via Pedwest.

Decided to walk to the Zona – to get a feel for the new setup and also to make a stop at the pharmacy across from the Wax Museum (Piri? At the pharmacy I bought one 100 mg Viagra for $10.50 and a bottle of 4-100 mg. Maxifort for a bit over $5 (bought the "V" because I wasn't sure if the Maxifort would actually work).

Although it was hot I managed to power walk to Adelitas by 1130. Adelitas was deader than I remember, even though they had a show going on. Unfortunately the tangas stayed on so it wasn't real inspiring (and the girls weren't real inspiring either). I did open the Maxifort and down one while I was sitting there.

Next took a look in Las Chevalas. No customers and only 2-3 chicas in attendance. A friendly girl named Diana came up, leaned against me and started talking. It was about 15 minutes into the Maxifort ingestion and I could begin to feel the effects as she rubbed against me.

Still wanted to look around a bit, so, I excused myself and told Diana I might be back later and went to Hong Kong. Sat down had had a Tecate. After a few more steps, thinking about how well the Maxifort worked, I took one tap out of the bottle and put it in my pocket.

Arrived at the Pedwest entry and walked all the way into the customs building without seeing a line. Got in the SENTRI line and discovered that my GOES card allowed me to avoid the lines with 10-12 people and go through a line with no people. Not a great test, but, if it is that quick, who cares? When the CBP guy asked if I had purchased anything in Mexico, I put the Maxifort bottle on his desk. He asked "what's that" and I responded "generic Viagra. " He picked up the bottle, looked at it, typed something on his computer, handed me back the bottle and waived me through. What are they typing? Is some DF&A investigator going to show up ad my door sometime down the road and accuse me of importing generic Viagra?

Walked out the door at 1:45 pm – a total of 30 minutes walking from ZN to the exit on the USA Side. Made it back to my vehicle in the parking lot by 2:00 pm.

Total time elapsed, from arrival at parking lot to return to my car: 3. 5 hours. Add one hour to-and-from San Ysidro for a grand total of 4. 5 hours.

Expenses: $7 parking, $16 for "vitamins", $2 tips to AB strippers, about $30 for drinks for me and 2 chicas, $1 for LC robe, $16 Cascadas room and $60 for Diana. Total: $132.

So, the daytime bombing run is feasible, but, I'm in a situation where, to a large extent, time is more precious than money. So, strictly for the Chicas, it's not a great deal for me when, for about $50 more I can get a real good full service experience in one of our AMPs and only expend about an hour of my time. The tipping factor, however, might be the Maxifort. Worked great and, at about $1/ pill is a real bargain. My Medicare coordinated prescription plan hits me for over $20 per 100 mg tab. Since it doesn't seem to be a big deal bringing small quantities across, I could see a few runs a year to keep my "vitamin" supply up and hit a chica as a bonus each run.

There is one other swaying factor. It just felt damned good to be walking around in ZN again. That alone is worth some time investment.

I do have to work to regain my "chica sensor. " Wasted a lot of time settling on someone to take upstairs.

So, the daytime bombing run is feasible, but, I'm in a situation where, to a large extent, time is more precious than money. So, strictly for the Chicas, it's not a great deal for me when, for about $50 more I can get a real good full service experience in one of our AMPs and only expend about an hour of my time. The tipping factor, however, might be the Maxifort. Worked great and, at about $1/ pill is a real bargain. My Medicare coordinated prescription plan hits me for over $20 per 100 mg tab. Since it doesn't seem to be a big deal bringing small quantities across, I could see a few runs a year to keep my "vitamin" supply up and hit a chica as a bonus each run.

There is one other swaying factor. It just felt damned good to be walking around in ZN again. That alone is worth some time investment.

Just about any day is good if you are looking for Freelancer's. I have been on Sunday's on numerous occasions have always found a good Freelancer. The action is still about the same as your other weekdays. Mondays are a bit slower, but there is still a lot of girls out. I usually monger the LA SW and I have to say, if you're picky and you take forever to get a date, go to Tijuana. I spend the same amount of money and almost the same amount of time, gas cost even factored in. I just get better result down there. Both times a $5 ride, some tacos, few beers. First, a disclaimer, I have not been to Tijuana since the changes so I can't address that. Others have. I take the trolley from SD to the end and walk across. Once across the border you can see the arch which is the gateway to the Zona. Just head that way, maybe a ten minute walk from the old entry, again, can't speak for the new way in. There has always been a steady stream of civilians on the path. Just follow along. As for the foot bridge across the sewer, I mean, river, again, usually plenty of people walking across and often a cop or two standing around. I did make a wrong turn one time but realized it within a few steps, turned around and rejoined the crowd. It would be nice if there were clear signs, but there are a few on the return to the US. That helps. As others have suggested, if you have a concern spring for a cab both ways. Once in the Zona you can stay in that block that Hong Kong and Adelitas is in (they are next door to each other) and the alley behind them and you will have your pick of about a hundred ladies of every description and a half dozen or so clean cheap hotels. I always feel like if I stay around general population types like school children, non hooker type ladies, families, street vendors, and so forth, it is hard to get in trouble. The Zona is just one neighborhood in the city and the general population walks through pretty much ignoring the blue light trade. That part can be a bit surreal.

To me, the lure is the legal atmosphere, all transactions out in the open. Disneyland for Mongers. The good food, cheap beer and reasonably priced pussy is a big plus.

Be aware of your surroundings but it's quite different from wandering around at 1 am. I wouldn't worry. I'm not sure about chicas doing outcalls to a casino in sd. I doubt it. My take is the zona has everything you need. Motels / hotels, bars and girls. Taxis are everywhere in this city. I recommend them for people who are not sure where they are going. They'll try to to get you to go to an MP. Tell them your not interested and to bring you to HK or AB. Sometimes they can be stubborn. WOW! What a place. I loved it. Went on Saturday and it was crackin! MN.Depending on who's reports you believe, BBBJ and BBFS are either readily available or very unusual. What follows is from my personal experience.

Escorts: I've only had a couple handfuls of escorts. BBBJ has always been available, I have gone with CBJ. I've never had BBFS offered.

Went for a late lunch. I keep wanting to try Maiz but then I don't want to pay for a Taxi both ways. I have never tried the Taco stands. The place across from HK is where the employees eat. Its still under construction but its a faster go thru over the old main border crossing. The bldng you entered was the place where other nationalities would apply for visas and such to cross. Just a little FYI to help you in future Tijuana mongering.Both northbound pedestrian crossings are east of the river. PedEast is the old crossing but it's capacity is reduced relative to the prior capacity. PedWest is between the vehicle crossing and the river and it has much greater capacity than PedEast.

Muggings update.

Recent reports indicate there has been quite a few muggings by Nino's Hero's and Calle Primera st. The key is always look behind you especially where is not other people around.I went down to Tijuana yesterday Tuesday 11-29. Crossed over around 3 and came back around 9:30. Walked down instead of taxi and had no issues. Lots of shady characters hanging around but no more so than usual. Got down to the zona and hit just about every bar starting with valentinas. It was a slow day. Mediocre time but there are a lot of cute SGs to be had. My guess is they're working up a storm getting ready for Christmas season. Anyways, asked my sources out on the streets and in the bars and nobody has heard anything about any muggings of late. As always, stay on guard but I didn't have any issues. Yes I did get mugged there about a 1-1/2 years ago. They have more police at that intersection. The key however is not become complacent and constantly look to see who is behind you. This one Ratero tried to steal my cell phone by Cohuilla st and Ninos Heros last night.

I've seen PedWest backed up to half way between the ramp up and the spiral ramp down. If you have SENTRI or Global Entry you can just walk through the waiting crowds to the front and get through the crossing very quickly.

Passport renewal took only 2 weeks. Got a card this time. Now, with passport card I can enter Tijuana with no passport stamps and with my GE card I can get out relatively quickly.

I don't hang out in Tijuana anywhere near as much as I used to, but in my memory and by observation on a recent Saturday night, I don't even see BT, LC, AB, Valentina and CC even having a tough guy in their employ by the door the way HK does. And yes, also Malquerida. Basically just runts waving everybody through. They're more desperate for the business than HK is so bienvenidos amigos -- PASALE! AB always had the uniformed auxiliary dudes near the door but they don't frisk anybody and they are not young tough guys. More concerned with a patron bringing in a bottle of water that was purchased elsewhere.

It is also true that despite lax door security, virtually every Tijuana bar on and way off the beaten path have their entire staff ready to instantly gel as a militia when any kind of trouble breaks out. I used to hang out until dawn at the sketchiest locals spots up on Art. 123 (I. E. "ratero alley") where fights broke out virtually every night. Sometimes larger scale saloon brawls. It was actually very impressive to observe the meseros almost instantly getting control of the situation and sweeping the shit out on to the street. Often into the arms, fists and cuffs of waiting policia. So I always felt safe in these joints even though I was routinely the only gabacho. But none of those fights ever escalated to gun play. Mexico's strict gun laws were very effective in deterring street trash from carrying weapons as they were constantly searched by police with or without cause. If they found a weapon these guys were headed for serious prison time. But now the cartel situation is appearing at street level in the zona norte and petty street dealers have been taking bullets like never before. Haven't heard about any innocent monger bystanders being victimized yet. So not trying to spread paranoia.

His shooting was written up by the Tijuana papers as being about the waiter having the shooter tossed out of HK earlier that night. The shooter comes back with a gun. But right after he was killed Malquerida went from being a wide open welcoming bar to having mafia tough guy types who would scare the shit out of Tony Soprano posted at the door closely scrutinizing everyone who intended to enter.

BTW, This past Friday and Saturday night (New Years eve) I stayed at Santiago hotel which is down the street from Cascadas & Rizo de Oro and early AM on New Years day (Sunday Jan. 1) there was a shooting in the alley right next to the Santigao. 30 yards away and from the 3rd floor we watched the aftermath of a, most likely, drug deal gone bad with the victim getting shot 4 times.

Two shots in both legs, one shot to the stomach area and one in the head. The guy was alive and in agony and he was leaking blood.

I remember the shooting in 2011 that shut the HK down for like a few weeks and you would try to ask somebody in LC what was going on and they would play that act but it was so odvious. Last time I was in the zona. I took the otay mesa line to cross over. They have a parking lot next to the ihop restaurant. There was no twenty minute wait visa line. You just cross over. Hi Frank! Is there a specific reason why you park all the way over in otay to go to ZN? On a Wednesday I wouldn't think there would be much of a line walking in or back out and the parking shouldn't be too bad in San ysidro. I did go over via Otay last night. It was not to go to the Zona for pleasure but to help a friend who lives there. She paid a Libre taxi 200 pesos for ride ti Zona Norte area, so HK should be same.

Going home I decided to use Uber. It was 145 pesos and I handed the driver 40 pesos as a tip.

It was close to 30 minutes. As someone who crosses 5-15 times a month, every month for over a year, San Ysidro is the way. If you really hate the line, save your taxi money and buy a 6 month VISA for about $30.3 weekends and you've broken even and saved hours.

I was in Tijuana this past weekend and would like to share my experience. I followed recommendations from others on this site and it was a blast. OK, details below. Please overlook minor grammatical errors.

11. So, after about 45 min, I headed back into Hong Kong to look for my perfect lady. As I was looking, my bar guy taps me gently from behind, and says do you know her? There she was. We hugged like we had known each other for years. I tipped my bar guy and he left. We found a table, sat down and she was just giving me the best time out there. How much she was giving me for $10 every 10 minutes. You can't get that in the US. After about 30 minutes, we went upstairs and. Wow! Another spectacular game. It was now 1 AM, and I had to leave by 3. 30 AM to cross the boarder and head to the airport. So, we hugged, and off she went. Wow! I was flat on juice and ready to go home. I showered, packed my bag and was ready to go.

It was now 2. 30 am.

12. For some reason, I decided to go back and have one drink at Adelita before leaving. Boy, when I walked in, it was a very different Scene compared to what I saw in the afternoon. Many beautiful 9's to choose from. I didn't think I still had any juice in me, but this perfect 9 came along and my little guy kicked. - Hong Kong has the best Chicas, but generally $20 more expensive.

-You will find similar Chicas at Adelita at night for less.

-In the afternoon, when Adelita is slow, Mermaids across the street can be fun for a similar price as Hong Kong.

-It seems Asians (Chinese, Japanese) are the most sought after by Chicas.

- I saw all races, White, black, Asian, having fun at both bars. So, black brothers should not feel shy heading out there. So head out there and have fun. Infact, I saw this well dressed black guy with a perfect 10 blonde at Hongkong having so much fun.

- The guys that dressed well attracted Chicas easily. Am not saying you should put on a suit. Just look nice.
